Arrived without a reservation and I think the only time I was spoken to was when I walked in the door. I was told to wait. That worked for me. However, the whole nail experience was odd. I was pointed to a chair and one hour later my pedicure still wasn't done. I had THREE people work on me without a word. They just kept switching around the room and I'm really not sure why. Each time a person changed, I was waiting again. I must have been asked by four different people what my color would be. In the end, I wasn't sure if I had the same color as when I first came. They did speak again, and asked a couple time to upcharge for gel. That was annoying. Let's talk about the TV. Have you even been in a nail salon when the show they were playing was R and there was a sex scene playing...Akward. Last, no AC. It was HOT in there. I just took the certificate out the envelope.. they made me pay 60$ what if didn't have the money. They should have just honored it. I got a man and he did a very bad job. It was very painful, my toe fingers still hurt, it feels like it's on fire. More than that, the way he polished my nails was awful. I went in to get my nails done at 11am I didn't get out until 1:30pm. They proceeded to injure me and then put their nail glue on me. The design work wasn't up to standards of the photos and everything that's already posted on yelp. Definitely wouldn't recommend never going here again absolutely worst place charging me $120 when at my normal nail place who was unfortunately closed today but For a full set that other place would charge me up to $80 this is absolutely diabolical for me to pay $120 or a full set. Went here after a friend referred me to her nail girl. Her nails always looked nice and really lasted Langevin after washing he reads to much. Her acrylic never look too thick either. Upon first stepping in I notice they have plastic dividers between clients. And a TV with Netflix. When me service started I showed her what I wanted and she got started. Everything was going well. Towards the end of the service after watching the movie they had on, my neck was so sore after looking up for so long and barely talking to the nail tech. She asked if I've been with her before and I said no, a friend referred me to her and she left it at that. I noticed that the nude was definitely not a good shade for my skin tone but it was already too late to change. After leaving I inspected them again and realized they were too think and the sides were a bit sloppy on blending and when she drilled them the under layers were showing too much. After a week I noticed that my two of the nails were lifting and one have popped off while doing laundry. After that I noticed that my pinky was sore. After most of them started to lift I took off all the nails and my pinky was broken in half. I've had my nails done many many times but never had it break my nail in half at the bed like that. I really needed a mani pedi and decided to try out this spot since it appeared to be fairly new and in a nice plaza across from Starbucks. Everything was going quite well until I sat in my spa chair. The older lady doing my pedicure seemed to offer no welcome, nor small talk... Which was fine at the moment for me since I was exhausted... HOWEVER, she cut my SKIN! It has been nearly an hour since my pedicure and my toe nail is still burning from the cut! She cut me once and I flinched in pain, but this didn't stop her! She continued to cut my nail.. (Feeling nauseas just thinking back to it!) When I finally lifted my foot away from her and screamed that she cut my skin another lady walked over with an attitude and said she'd complete my pedicure in her place... Unbelievable! No remorse, no apology, and no alcohol or sanitizing treatment! I added my own nisporin to my toe... I am outraged! Please do NOT GO HERE! I retract giving this place any stars now. When I went in today, they placed my young daughter next to a woman choosing to not wear a mask, until I politely asked her to. Then after my daughter had her nails painted, two of the workers that were about 4-5 feet away from my daughter with this small dingy plastic barrier sitting between them, decided to take their masks off as they socialized and ate their snacks. I politely asked the gentleman doing my nails, to ask if they would please wear their masks while near my daughter, and they hysterically laughed in response while looking at me. Horribly rude and disrespectful to make a customer feel this way. During a global pandemic they should try to educate themselves on how to protect the safety of all customers and help them feel reassured that this is a clean and sanitary space. I felt very rushed to pick a color. As tho they were doing me a favor! The technician was very aggressive with treatment. My nail beds hurt for two days afterwards and that has never happened. The nail job was terrible, the nail size they used was not file to fit my hand size, polish applied haphazardly, and they left polish on my fingers. When I commitmented about it to the tech, she said "it will wash off." Oh I guess that is my job, not yours? When I went to pay, I felt like I was being watched as if I was a thief! I would give 0 starts. I tried this salon because I needed to get my nails done before an event so I went there and the young lady who works there is so rude. Another lady was doing my nails but at the end my nails weren't dry enough so I saw the clear code with a lot of air bubbles so I ask very nice if they can fix them. This young girl started doing them and pulling my fingers really bad and really MAD ABOUT IT just because I asked to do her job better because I'm paying for it. When I paid she took my CC in a rude way without saying anything I paid and I left. I had used this nail salon in the past but it has really gotten bad. The facility has not been upgraded in 15 years, the pedicure chairs were not working properly and the manicure stations looked like they needed to go to the dump. The gal working on me could not understand English and cut my toenails by notching them after I told her not to since I tend to get ingrown toenails. The tools they used were not incased in a bag so I have no idea if they were sanitized. I could tell the files were not sanitized since they had nail dust on them. The water bowls didn't have plastic on them so I just prayed I wasn't going to get athlete's foot. I should have left then. I stayed and got the pedicure because it was getting late and a lot of places were closing. The final straw was the paraffin wax! They brought out a crockpot of melted wax and had me dip my feet into it rather than put wax into a baggie and place it on my feet. My boyfriend also dipped his foot into this same wax. Well the reviews are true. Looked like a nice newer clean place. Two days after pedicure half my toe nail color is gone. They cut my step-daughter's toe (12 yrs old) and didn't say a word about it. Half the staff is sitting around eating, playing in their phone, painting their kids nails. Won't be going back for sure. read more

Wasn't all too impressed with this place. I called months before to schedule a wedding party to come in and get their nails done before a wedding. 10-12 people in fact. I called about a week out from our scheduled appointment and they said they would be ready. Day of our appointment, I felt like we were being rushed. There was a good number of us that were getting mani/pedi combos and the staff available were rushing through current customers to get to us. With as large a group as we were, I thought they would have really blocked things off to prepare. There were other customers that came in and they told them they would get to them within 15 minutes. I didn't think it was professional of them to say that, as they hadn't even started on some of the girls in my party. Ambiance: Typical nail salon. Not too much to report here. They need a little bit more ventilation for all the fumes. Staff: They definitely were quick... maybe too much so. They (I feel) were short staffed for the number of people that had come to get ready for the wedding. The leg massages were nice, but very short lived. And I wasn't too keen on how they accepted more people and said they would see them in 15 minutes when there were another 6 in our party that hadn't even started. Selection: Lots of acrylic colors, nails and styles to choose from. In terms of nail polish color.. looks like they had a lot but the little girl kept playing with them or rounding them up. Better to bring your own. Price: Typical. I paid $50 for a full set acrylics and a pedicure. I think thats a tad steep from other places I had been to. Overall: I don't think I will be coming back. I don't like being rushed with my nails and rushing leads to accidents. A younger girl in her party had her thumb burned by the drummel when one of the nail techs wasn't paying attention to how far he had shaved down. Another girls acrylics were glued too far down and it made her fingers look stumpy. Another girl told them to stop shaving the acrylic down because it was too short for her liking and they ended up short anyway. Quality of nail work was mediocre at best. read more

Here's what's crazy... My mother, my grandmother, my sister and I had ALL been loyal Sonny's customers for years, and I KNOW I've spent thousands of dollars there. At one point, I was spending like $250 a month. Sometime between last March when I previously reviewed them and like last month, something went terribly, terribly wrong. They're absolutely awful. For as long as I'd been going and as loyal a customer as I'd been, I would have thought I would have gotten better service. NO! I went in for a manicure/pedicure and sat for almost an hour, even though I kept being assured that the wait was just going to be "five minutes". I was in and out of the pedicure chair in record time, but was very confused when the lady next to me wasn't even half way done, but she started ten minutes before me. How does that work?!?! I wanted polish and a design for my hands to match the one on my toes and I was told that "that color wasn't for my fingers, but she'd put something else". By the time it was over, I had two different polish colors, three different designs, an unevenly waxed eyebrow and a record price of close to $100. If there was a way to give zero stars that is what they would get. Worse manicure I have even paid for in my life. They slapped on some thick, chunky polish and then were done. A drunk 5 year old could do a better paint job then this guy. It was so thick it wouldn't dry and half of my polish got wiped off before even getting up from the chair. When I told them, they did not remove the polish that was still have way there, they just did another coat over it.. so not only is it ridiculously thick and weird looking, I'm sure it will break off in a few hours. Then once they were finished they didn't bother to clean the nail polish off my skin from when they had just slapped the polish on. My nails are very short and stubby but I'm sure I could have done a better job myself- while drunk and using my left hand. I will never return- this place sucks. read more

Have been going to Sonny's for years, as it is close to my house. My mom and I often meet there for some mother-daughter pampering. Everyone is always polite and willing to fix my nails when I mangle them before even leaving the shop. Have also had my brows waxed - no complaints. The only "hassle" is that there are often several people working on you, which makes distributing the tip a little tricky. Of course they prefer cash, who wouldn't?
