I ended up having to break it up. The only dish that we liked was the butter chicken. Spicy eggplant was too spicy for us. Lamb curry was not tender. HOLY MOLY THIS PLACE IS GOOD. I had heard about it from some friends and social media before so I have been dying to try it. If you like spicy, their spicy eggplant is for you. I overheard the server telling a customer that it is very spicy and offered a sample. I also wanted to try a sample to test my luck. It smelled very good but after the first bite my eyes were watering and my mouth was on fire! They said the spicy shrimp and spicy fish are even hotter! Yikes! Luckily they also have many mild options (phew)! Thankfully they gave me a small cup of mango lassi to help my mouth recover! Very friendly service. Absolutely need to come back to try more! My lovely friend Garrett who had been here before just happened to come in as I was recovering from the sample. I love Indian food so I was very excited to find this spot so close to home. I ordered my usual go to when trying a place for the first time, which is palak paneer, rice and naan bread. The Palak paneer was bland and had the taste of canned spinach. It didn't seem fresh and lacked the flavors that I'm used to. I would say that the frozen Indian meals are better than what I had today. The rice and naan bread were good but disappointed that the Palak was not the star of the show. The palak paneer tastes a little like laulau leaf, it was also on the bland side, but again it works with the other flavors. My fav was the chana masala, which was chickpeas in a savory tomatoey sauce! So good. We also got a mango lassi and iced chai. The lassi was tangy and not as sweet as other places! Chai was good too but more peppery than I expected. Everything we got (2 plates, momos, 2 drinks) was about $60 before tip and we each have enough leftovers for a small lunch tomorrow. My friend and I both got the butter chicken plate with some garlic naan and cheese naan. The female on Friday asked if we ever had Nepal or Indian food, and I answered yes to Indian but never food from Nepal. She offered us samples and explained what each dish contained. Its bright green paint helps it stand out in the hall. Entrees are served kind of cafeteria style with both vegetarian and meat options. Service was very friendly and helpful and none of the items I ordered were especially spicy (I didn't choose the items marked spicy). I got a combo plate with 2 vegetarian and 2 meat choices. For the veg choices I got a yellow daal and a chickpea item. Both were tasty, although I would have liked more spice. For the meat choices I got the lamb curry and the butter chicken. Prices are not bad for the cuisine, $15 for a single entree or $18 for a two-choice combo, both with rice and two sides. Oh and normally in a combo, you get smaller portions of two choices - Lasoon just adds another entree scoop, pretty good deal for $3 more if you're hungry. The entrees are loaded with protein - I've tried the Butter Chicken and Lamb curry so far, both are delicious! I'm looking forward to the spicy fish samba, and hope that they can add a saag option someday. The sides were also amazing, I've tried the palak paneer, chana masala, and butter mix veg. Palak paneer is loaded with paneer and amazing if you like creamy spinach. The chana masala is full of robust flavor, while the butter mix veg has soft beans, potatoes, and more in the delicious tomato cream sauce. Can't wait to try the spicy eggplant and daal. Right next to aloha salads, kind of small but still had some tables and chairs. Most of the food was already cooked and is located on the line. Everything looked so goooood. So I decided to get the combo. I got the vegs butter and cabbage. For my main I got the lamb and spicy fish. The lady said it was pretty spicy, about 6 or 7 so she let me try the sauce. First taste was a lil spicy but omg so good so I decided to get it anyway because I love spicy food so I didn't need any hot sauce. I also got one samosa with the sauce and it was super yummy too. The man gave me a sample of the mango lassi and I looooooooveeee it. I will definitely get it the next time I come for lunch. My other half's co worker has been raving about this place and we were finally in the area to try it out. We were greeted with a big and friendly hello from the staff as soon as we entered. The most we've ever experienced when it comes to Indian food was naan bread, so we were struggling a bit to figure out what to order. Though, we sat at the 1 low table with 2 chairs towards the front of the establishment. The food is comforting, hearty and filling. Couldn't finish it all, so I took home about half the plate. The owner was wiping up other tables saw that we were pretty much done and asked if we wanted bags to take our food home, to which we politely declined. So attentive! My only wish is that the spinach and cheese had a little more flavor and that the naan was softer, as it felt hard and overcooked. But other than that, we enjoyed our meal. They are located at Pearlridge Center Wai Makai(former downtown) 2nd floor, you come into the mall from open parking side, you can see right side (third location). Finally, Indian food that's not only delicious but close to home!! Its located inside Pearlridge downtown (for us old folks) in the original Burger King space, just inside Koromo entrance and across from Hot Topic. We beat the lunch rush on a Monday .. was even able to get a table inside to devour all the deliciousness as quickly as possible and by the time we left, the line was out the door I ordered the mini butter chicken which comes with one veggie choice and was offered a palak paneer sample (creamed spinach with Indian cottage cheese) which I thoroughly valued as I had never tried it before. I opted for the spicy eggplant which the very nice lādē scored as a 7.5/10 on heat so I thought I could handle. I could not. Lol! It was a dab of flavor on each forkful for me, it could not be a scoop on its own! I also got a garlic naan which is an entire pie crust size folded in half, for size reference. My daughter got the same meal sans the spicy eggplant, with palak paneer as her veggie choice, and she added a samosa (YUM!) and a mango lassi. It's about time we have an Indian spot in Central Oahu! When I found this place on Yelp just looking for somewhere to eat, this popped up and I immediately needed to go! Hubs ordered butter chicken, rice, cabbage and the Chana masala. He enjoyed it! I tasted the cabbage, added a great crunch to the meal and had a bunch of flavor. The Chana Masala was also great, I will get that as a side for myself next time. We also got the cheese naan and the garlic naan- I could eat naan everyday, and I'm afraid I might now that they are just down the street from me. First time getting a mango lassi- and not my last. It taste like mango yogurt. Perfect for the spice from the eggplant. I do wish it were a bit colder, but maybe it was a fresh batch they just put in the fridge. I still loved it. Portion size was decent- it's not huge but to be expected as usually this type of cuisine isn't usually huge portions for the price. So I think it is fair, as the flavor and quality is of a sit down type of place. There are a few tables to sit there. We got lucky and sat there, however it was busy so I did notice some people going to the food court to sit.
