    Chicken momos

We love momos and wanted to give these a try. They were good-sized momos; however, not sure if they were left steaming too long as the ones we received were a bit dry. Flavor was ok and the sauce helped some.

First time trying Nepali food! Visited the night market at Kapilina and after making our rounds, we decided on something warm and flavorful from Neha's Kitchen. We ordered the chow mein (Nepali style) and samosa chaat (mashed samosas with pea curry and a yogurt sauce), both of which had tangy and spicy seasonings that were new to our taste buds but ended up absolutely loving! The owner was so sweet to approach us as we were eating with their last piece of pakora (deep fried veggies, similar to tempura) and omg that was the icing on the cake. I'd love to try other items on their menu!

Found them at waianae farmers market. Was kinda late time so only chicken curry was left. I love Nepal/ Indian cuisine but no more on a Westside so I was very exited to see them! The curry was very good the chicken is so soft and love the authentic herbs taste. I love the bastimi rice too:) definitely wanna try momo and samosa n other stuff next time, Yay!

Wong Kung Chinese restaurant it was for the lunch plate that had almost everything that I thought I love in Chinese food! So I go there and order that and another favorite egg foo young! Food comes out and I notice the color on the Kau yuk didn't look correct color or smell like Kau yuk. I was like ok! Maybe it's fresh! I take a bite of the kau yuk which, I know and love, and I spit it back out. No joke. I don't know how to explain it. But it tasted like bad (spoiled) meat in some kind of red sauce! The Usual kau yuk flavor was not there and definitely not tender. Not this one! It was like old meat that tasted somewhat rotten! I picked up every meat and smelt it and stupidly even bit it! They All smelt weird, and Chewy like previously prepared pork and wasn't cooked enough or kept at the right temperature! Plain and simple spoiled! I mentioned it and the server/worker said she spoke with the chef/cook and they insisted it was fresh! I was like check please! I don't want to slander them. But the food speaks loud and clear! I will not be coming back!

Wong Kung Chinese Restaurant is located in a small strip mall a few doors down from the FAMOUS Elena's Filipino Foods restaurant. Wong Kung Chinese Restaurant looks a bit dated, but since I'm a fan of old skool eateries, I figured I'd give a try. Upon looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Menu for Five" which the price was listed at $99.99, and the following items were on this menu - 1. Scallop Soup 2. Mix Seafood with Vegetables 3. Fried Fish Cube 4. Char Siu Fried Rice 5. Roast Duck (1/2 order) 6. Sweet Sour Spareribs 7. Beef Broccoli 8. Sam See Mein What can I say about the grub??? Overall, most of the food items were pretty good, with the exception of the Scallop Soup which my dad & I found to be a wee bit too salty. I also found that the Roast Duck appeared to be kinda dried out. As for the rest of the menu items, it was pretty good! Some of the outstanding items were the Fried Fish Cubes, as it was nicely deep fried & although a dipping sauce was given, it was not necessarily needed. The stir-fried items like the Seafood w/Vegetables and Beef Broccoli are hard to mess up, and those dishes were good. The Sam See Mein was also delicious, and I would easily come back here for their noodles. Service here was on point, fast friendly service. When I paid for the meal, I'm not sure if they automatically added on the tip? The bill came out to $119.70 (not including tax) when on the menu, it said $99.99. To top it off, there was another 3% charge if you pay via credit card. I think the business needs to update the menu, if you're not going to stick to the prices as listed on the menu.

On the outside it's a little hole in the wall but once you go inside it's small, cute and very clean. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and also had lived in the Bay Area for a short time. We ordered the Korean chicken and the heart attack loco moco that comes with Brisket and pork belly. The Korean chicken came over rice with a side salad. The chicken was really good, fried with a perfect crisp and an orange sauce (great flavor and a little kick.) The loco moco was probably the best I've ever had the meats were very tender and the gravy was very flavorful. The egg was a little more cooked than I wanted but great overall. The Mac salad was unique it was like a potato salad with noodles and egg. It was different but very good as well. I will definitely be coming back again with my family next time.

This loco moco had pork belly and brisket and I had over easy eggs over a bed of rice and salad. I also heard their brisket saimin is good too so definitely need to try that the next time I go. There's actually a lot of food I want to try here so I will definitely be going back.

Our experience with Bobby started with private a tasting in their lounge of a few of the things we were hoping to have on our menu. We tried two mains, a salad and a few sides... when I say everything was a smash it, i really mean it! Our package included a third main and we honestly told him he could pick what to bring because obviously he knows how to cook- it'd be impossible to choose! For our wedding we had the kalbi shortribs, garlic shrimp, and huli huli chicken for our mains. Our salad was the one with the warm bacon dressing (OMG DELICIOUS), and we also had truffle mashed potatoes, a ratatouille, rice and i think 3 appetizers. It was ALL so good. Our guests have been raving about it since. Not only was the food to die for, but also the service before and during the wedding too! we had a few dietary restrictions to accommodate and Bobby was so easy to work with and already had ideas ready to go. Then there's the wait staff - who brought my husband and I full plates of everything first, before anyone else. So many people say they don't get to eat at their own weddings and they made sure that DIDNT happen to us. I was still so anxious that I didn't clear my plate but everything i DID eat was just as good as the tasting. The staff stayed and helped my coordinator for the rest of the night as well. After dinner they boxed up all the leftover food for us to take home and I was so happy for that! Since I didn't eat a ton at my own wedding I got to house all of the leftovers with our families. The taste, the value, the service... it really can't be beat. We've already decided we'll be tracking down his foodtruck whenever we can!

The pancit was a standout: bihon noodles perfectly stir-fried with green onions and subtle seasoning, light yet satisfying as a side that balanced the richer dishes without overwhelming. Dinuguan brought that deep, savory pork blood stew richness - tender meat in a chocolatey gravy with a vinegar kick, way better than average and not overly gamey Monggo (mung beans) was hearty and comforting, simmered smooth with malunggay or bittermelon options for that homey veggie depth - grows on you with each bite. Veggie lumpia delivered crispy perfection: fresh fillings, not greasy, and a great crunchy contrast to the stews. I mean to be fair, no one makes it better than my mom. But this was close enough. The portions are great probably good enough for two. The lumpia were fire as well. 4 for $10 is a bit steep but not too bad. Crunchy wrappers. Tasty inside. They have this vinegar based dipping sauce, that I didn't really enjoy. My mom softens that vinegar by mixing it with ketchup and a bit of sugar if needed. If they had something similar to that it would have been 10/10. As it is, I'm just nitpicking. Shay's did make me miss my mom's cooking a bit but in a good way. I'd totally bring her in to get her take next time she visits. Will totally go back.
