Food 5/5 - Cold Noodles, Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Pork Belly Wrapped Musubi Overall 5/5

    Pork belly wrapped musubi
    Grant O.

Overall 4 stars: Yummy and fresh food from a great food truck! Food 4 stars: I have had the pork belly wrapped musubi many of times and love it! It has got to be the best musubi that I have tasted! What a great concept. I also have tried the mochiko chicken plate which was also very good. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The chicken in not oily at all. I love the potato and green salad that it comes with. The food is not heavy and doesn't weigh you down after lunch. Can't wait to try the other dishes too. The only problem is that the food truck is not consistently in Mililani tech park on a schedule.

5/7/22 spicy red noodles (I didn't realize there was tripe inside) and spicy cheese pork belly wrapped musubi
    Mary E.

5/7/22- I ordered the spicy red noodle soup and cheese pork belly wrapped musubi. The soup was very flavorful. I just wished there was a little more noodles because I felt like I had a few fork full of noodles and mainly soup to drink. There's also tripe in there if you're a tripe lover, which unfortunately I am not. I was also hoping for a better portion of pork belly. I think I ate 1 slice of pork belly. Speaking of pork belly, when I think of that I think of a thick slice of marinated pork belly goodness. Apparently Evisuya's pork belly is thinly cut, like a slice of bacon. For the soup dish, a fat, thick slice of pork belly would better compliment the dish in my opinion. Their popular item is the pork belly wrapped musubi. Again it's basically bacon think sliced wrapped around a fist sized rice musubi. I chose the spicy cheese one. They use a slice of American cheese. I think a thicker slice of a more sharp cheese would be better. Overall the food is ok. It was good to try but not my favorite.

Sorry but that musubi was not visually appetizing. Perhaps it was just the day. My friends were laughing! The rice was kinda mushy and not salted enough.

For the value and the amount of food, you can't go wrong! The smaller pack gets your party one family style portion of each item. The larger pack gets two family style portions of each item! It seems like the food just keeps coming. We had a party of 10, we ate to our hearts content and every person even got to take a little doggie bag home. The service was second to none, our Aunty didn't disappoint. She kept the drinks flowing, and even the water glasses filled. We love Haliq! The booking was very straightforward, they don't charge a space rental fee as long as your party spends at least $1000 on food and drinks altogether. It doesn't have to be on one check, as long as it all adds up. We were able to decorate the area a bit for the party. Of course if you plan on partying here be wary of making too much of a mess or damaging things. Kiki then helped me preorder all the food for the party, and she also assisted with the surprise. Ashley was our server for the night and she did amazing! I was bothering her and Kiki and asking them questions all night and they were so nice and patient the entire time. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, it was as if they were family friends :) the speed of service was great too. I know we put the bartenders to WERK but the drinks still came out in such a timely manner. Finally, the food and drinks were BOMB. I've only been here a couple times before this, so I got to try a lot of items i haven't before at the party. Everyone was raving about the food! So many people who haven't been to DB grill before said they found their new spot. And if you like to drink, they have something for everyone. My grandma kept asking for more soju cocktails . The only thing I would warn about is that the AC is poppin upstairs, so bring a jacket. I would give 10 stars if I could. We love the DB grill crew!!!

The portions were good, the prices were decent, and it's the type of menu that works well for sharing with a group. Service was okay. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were efficient. Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

We were warmly greeted by the hostess who wished us a happy anniversary and were given the option to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose indoor and were seated promptly. The restaurant itself was pretty empty and we got a table by the window where we had a nice view of the golf course. Our server Bianca was super nice and gave us recommendations on the menu. We had the Crab Cakes, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Chinatown Chicken Spring Rolls and the Honey Mustard Charred Beef Short Rib. Portion sizes were good and we were thoroughly surprised by how good the Spring Rolls and Beef Short Ribs were. The spring rolls were hot and crispy on the outside, but was a little different because it had a black bean sauce underneath which was a nice surprise. The beef short ribs were so tender and filling when paired with the mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. At the end of our meal we were presented with a complimentary chocolate soufflé which was a surprise. The soufflé had a nice firm exterior with a nice soft soufflé on the inside and molten chocolate. What a perfect way to end the meal. Amazing service and I look forward to coming back again!

The food portion was enough for my children and they loved it. It also came with a dessert after. I got the ahi burger which was flavorful. We always get their assorted appetizer (that is enough for 3-4 people) and their brussel sprouts! I can not go to Roy's without ordering their brussel sprouts. The past times I went there, I would order their chocolate molten cake which you would have to put in a order ahead of time and that is really good. I love coming to this location because of service and their menu.
