I live in the Arts District and whenever I want to impress visitors - I take them to Lasita. Beautiful restaurant and and always impeccable service. Food is always amazing. Our top favorite dishes are the Pancit Canton, Pork Belly Sisig, Chicken Inasal with the Chicken Fat Rice. There are never any leftovers. We devour everything! The Pancit Canton is one of my favorite noodle dishes - flavorful and full of chewy noods and veggies. The Pork Belly Sisig is rich and pairs perfectly with the Chicken Fat Rice. Though to be fair, everything pairs perfectly with the Chicken Fat Rice. The Chicken Inasal is juicy and tasty - I love the mojo and toyomansi dipping sauces. The desserts change - but in the past my favorites have been the Halo Halo and currently the Corn Leche Flan. I highly recommend Lasita and will continue to return!
Finally had to pleasure to check out Lasita last night for an impromptu date night with a GF. We didn't have a reservation but the host was so kind and said they did have a table available, on a Friday night no less! Everything was very tasty, classic Filipino dishes with a flair. Staff were super friendly, we would definitely return.
8/10 Got the lechon, chicken, pancit, garlic rice, and the melon ice for dessert. Hands down the melon ice dessert was the best thing by far and is a must if you come here. Everything else was solid and probably some of the best Filipino food I've had.
Came here with a friend and got to sit right away. I love the atmosphere of this place. Tucked away and cozy. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was amazing. I enjoyed everything I had. Iove the portion sizes too. I left satisfied. Not crazy full, just right. This is a great place for a date night. Definitely recommend.
I did not love it, I did not hate it. A friend of mine asked me to go because he's read some really good reviews on Lasita so I told him I will check it out. It's hard for me to go out for Filipino food, considering my best friend is Filipina and I eat at her family's house, her Tia's house, her other Tia's house, her other Tia's house and many of cousin's houses. So it was difficult for me to pay for 1/4 of the portion, that's not homemade and in a busy restaurant. We ordered the veggie salad ($16), the half inasal chicken ($28), Lechon ($25), branzino ($34), garlic fried rice ($6), a small single serving of spicy vinegar ($2.50), I can buy a bottle of this spicy vinegar at the store for $2.50. mango coconut sago dessert ($14). Everything was OK, I've had a lot better, but it was worth trying. It made me realize how much I appreciate my best friend and her family and her extended family. I would rather drive 15 minutes West of Chinatown to Filipino town and get homemade Filipino food, made by people who love their culture and food with better portions and quarter of the price. But I did make a promise to my friend that I would go and try it out. And no, I will not go again, ever.
Recently celebrated a birthday at Lasita and thoroughly enjoyed it. My favorite dish was probably the pancit. It deviated from some of the more traditional pancit I've had in the past, but the flavors were absolutely delicious. The mushrooms in the pancit were amazing! I absolutely loved and devoured everything else that we ordered, and I appreciated that for a large party, they provide a set course. We also loved the wine, which staff helped us pick out. I included a photo of my favorite at the table, "Brutal." Super summery! The restaurant is beautiful and I highly recommend the outdoor seating as the colors of the restaurant and being in the middle of the corridor/courtyard completed the vibe!
Small restaurant in Chinatown, it's a modern super vibey (if seated indoors) Filipino place with limited menu options. Food was delicious, flavors were all great and all but even considering LA prices, seemed overpriced for what you are getting. Vedge salad is just a piece of cut lettuce head sprinkled with some sauce for $16. Half a small chicken for $30 and a small pork belly for $25 felt overkill thinking about the ingredients cost. We ordered some rice to fill us up. I imagine most of the money goes into customer service and interior design, all the other stuff. Waiters and hostess were all kind, no complaints there. Highly recommend a reservation on weekends! Parking is street if you can find or a parking lot for around $5. Though our experience was good, I wouldn't come back sadly.
Update for 4/8/26. Came back for dinner service, this time including my mother-in-law. The experience was really good, with good (though pricey) food, and a hard-to-forgot crudo dish. The three of us came by car a little after 5 pm, parking on the surface lot adjacent to Far East Plaza (managed by Unified Parking; plenty of open spots; pay first using kiosk entering license plate number; display ticket on dash; $5 good until 8 pm). We had a reservation for 5:30, so waited in the common Far East Plaza courtyard, until they opened the doors (got some ice cream from nearby Scoops ice cream shoppe...never pass up an opportunity to eat good ice cream outside in LA). We were the first to be seated, and got a comfortable booth inside. By the time we left, most of the indoor seating had been filled up, so reservations are recommended for weekday dinner. Lasita is marketed as a Filipino Rotisserie with Natural Wine. It's a small, focused menu with a lot of interesting items that we wanted to sample. The portions tend to run on the smaller side, so we had no leftovers. Sinigang Shrimp Chips ($6) - shrimp chips can mean different things, here is the common version: the light fluffy brand (like Dragonfly) that you can buy uncooked and deep fry at home. It was very lightly seasoned with tamarind powder. Kinilaw Crudo ($21) - the best dish I ate here, savoring every bite. Kinilaw is a raw fish Filipino dish, which for me has always played second fiddle to a good Poke tuna bowl. I now realize it's because of the quality of the tuna in the past has been subpar. Plus as the name implies, this is really a crudo. In every way, this dish was better than any other kinilaw I've tasted, and was on par with the best tuna carpaccio I've eaten (a carpaccio is a type of crudo, just very thinly sliced). Like good quality sushi, the pieces were smaller considering the price, and made me wanting more. I wonder what they could do with a tuna collar. Chicken Inasal ($28) - why we came. It's a half-chicken (a steak knife is provided to cut into pieces), basted in a savory/flavorful butter. It's not a spring chicken (which is what we were hoping for), and the white meat wasn't the most tender/flavorful, but the dark meat pieces with the skin was wonderful. Pork Belly Lechon ($25) - 4 pieces of expertly cut lechon, served at the right time to make the crunchy skin still be softly edible, and the meat to be tender. This is a very well prepared lechon. Rice: White Rice ($3) and Chicken Fat Rice ($6.50) rounded out the meal. Buko Pandan Sago ($14) - unlike the other dish portions, this one was generous, with the right amount for the three of us to share. The base was pandan tapioca pudding, and used the strawberry, cream, and coco to produce a bite with texture and creamy sweetness. A great dessert. Service matched the decor/setup being cool and professional, and the noise level was low, making for easy conversation. The food came out as soon as it was prepared, letting us appreciate it in stages. They left us a water bottle for us to self refill our glasses, which I appreciated. Even though the restaurant was getting full, there was no perceptible rush from the staff for us to leave. We left after finishing our dessert, and stopped by the nearby hamburger place to get some to go.
My foodie friend took me here before mahjong and it was amazing! Beautifully decorated, every dish was excellent. My favorite was the beef brisket and the little gem salad. Excellent servers who checked in on us. Great date place or friend catch up.
KINILAW & PLAINTAIN CHIPS is GREAT! I could eat 5 plates. The seasonal pork was alright, if you want to try different parts of a pig then that's your go to, dish was quite small though. CALAMANSI PAVOLOVA is good! Trendy vibes, service was nice. Outside seating is cute but I'd probably opt for indoors next time.
Yummmmmm! What a treat! Honestly the perfect spot for a late-night light dinner catch up with friends. We opted for a Riesling for a table wine, and got a couple dishes to share. The kinilaw was spectacular, I wish it was a larger dish! With the sinigang shrimp chips? Wow!!! Definitely enjoyed the coconut sago dessert too, and I'm usually not a big coconut fan! The service was great, we definitely felt welcome and taken care of there. I like the location, it's kind of tucked away in a little plaza, but in typical LA fashion, the parking is kind of a bummer. If you can find street parking, it's not too far of a walk at all, and it's metered. But you gotta be lucky! If i'm in town again, i'd love to come back and try more from the menu!
Lasita has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while. I'm glad we made it there with a last minute reservation. This is located within the same plaza as Howlin' Rays and Tenren. We got seated right away in the "patio" even though we were a little early. We ordered shrimp chips, garlic fried rice, pork belly lechon and the chicken inasol. Everything tasted great, service was kind and friendly. Our order of the chips did not arrive and when we mentioned it to our server, the chips were brought to us at the end of the meal on the house. So thank you! It was also delicious! We are looking forward to returning to try other items on the menu.
Lasita has been on my list to try for quite some time now and I am glad I finally got the chance to stop by. This spot is located right in the heart of Chinatown where street parking will be your best bet. Reservations are definitely recommended, so plan accordingly. Wifey and I had reservations to celebrate her bday and were seated right away upon arrival. Inside, they have a cozy meets upscale interior with some unique lighting. For their menu, they have a thoughtfully curated selection of Filipino-inspired dishes. We ended up getting a spread consisting of the Sinigang Shrimp Chips, Mushroom Sisig, Chicken Fat Fried Rice, and the Adobo Beef Tataki. Overall, everything we had was delicious and wifey enjoyed her bday meal. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items in the future.

Shoutout Lasita for giving me one of my favorite bites of the year! Arrived on a Friday night at around 8:30 to hopefully snag a table for a party of 3. I should have known that with the popularity of this place and it being a weekend night, a table would not be guaranteed. At first, there weren't any more tables available for the night. Luckily, the hostess Michelle was able to come up with not one, but two options for us: either counter space inside or a table that opened up outside. My friends and I decided to sit inside for a better ambiance. We ordered the kinilaw + plantain chips, ginataang kalabasa, chicken inasal, sisig, and a side of garlic rice. We were recommended to order 4-5 dishes as some portions were smaller, and everything was made for sharing. The kinilaw was unlike anything I've had before. I've had my fair share of crudos and ceviches, but this one just had such a unique blend of flavors that was both familiar and foreign at the same time. The ginataan was the same, utilizing the squash and coconut milk I grew up with, along with a new twist that made each bite so addicting. The other two dishes were great as well; the chicken juicy and flavorful with zesty sauces on the side, and the sisig crispy and not over the top in the way that makes you feel heavy after eating it. Free parking wasn't a problem since it was the evening and the streets were relatively empty. The restaurant sits inside a shopping center where most of its surroundings were closed by the time we arrived. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. With Filipino culture entering the mainstream in the past couple of years, there have been some flops with upscale Filipino food. Lasita is definitely not one of those places. They combine authentic and less popular dishes with their own twist, creating a perfect harmony. read more
Lasita is a Filipino rotisserie located at the Far East Plaza in Chinatown, Los Angeles. Owne by husband-and-wife team Chase and Steff Valencia, Lasita's menu draws from Filipino flavors. Lasita was named one of Bon Appétit's 50 Best New Restaurants in America and one of the NY Times' 25 Best Restaurants in LA. You can walk in but you will be waiting so make a reservation. They also have pick up and delivery. Call ahead for pick up. This is a Filipino place with an LA touch. It is just great. It is not huge, but it is super clean and comfortable. It is cute. The service is great. You will love the staff. We love most of the dishes there. Their starter Sinigang Shrimp Chips are so good. We have never had anything like that before. Another starter that is great is their Adobo Marinated Castelvetrano Olives. Just Yum. There is not a bad entrée to be had. You will love it. read more

FIREEEEE!!!!! Everything was so flavorful. I loved the little dips that they brought out with the chicken and the pork. I wish I could tell you which dish I liked more but I can't. It's hidden away in an alley so you could never find it unless you look for it. I really really enjoyed my meal. Our server was also really kind and recommended to us some dishes and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. It was cute little quiet place, perfect for date night or a girl dinner! read more

Lasita has been on my list to try for a while now, and my fiancé and I enjoyed our dinner here. We made a reservation on Resy the week before. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and we opted to sit indoors. The only downside where we were seated was that some of the seats felt way too close to others and we heard the entire conversation because the girl was speaking way too loud. Ask for a booth seat if you can. Service was great, and the waiter was really helpful with helping us choose our dishes. Their menu changes according to the season. We ordered: Chicken Inasal (3.5/5) - Flavor was good, however I felt the chicken was more on the dry side. Sizzling Shroom + Sisig (3.5/5) - This was an interesting dish, slightly salty. We paid an extra $9 for sisig and there wasn't much in it. Summer Pancit Canton (4/5) - A really refreshing dish with all the ingredients, it paired well with both the chicken inasal and mushrooms. While I do feel their menu is overpriced in ways, I do appreciate the Filipino fusion take. Enjoy! read more
Ambiance - It has been a while since I've been here. They've renovated it and it looks classy and cozy inside. Service - service is very friendly and attentive. Food - we had two orders of Chicken Inasal, pancit, buko pandan and kape halo-halo. I've never had Inasal before. I thought it was grilled and marinated in calamansi (Philippine citrus) and soy sauce. This one was fried. It tasted good but lacked tang from the citrus. The pancit was very tangy and flavorful. The buko pandan was very good but tasted more like ginatan to me. I also could not taste the pandan flavor. Anyway, both desserts were delicious. Overall, our meal was satisfying. Oh, they served a complimentary bowl of sinigang (tangy) shrimp chips. So addicting! read more
Yesss! Lasita was a great restaurant. The vibes were laid back and chill. Our waitress was really nice too. The decor was simple but chic. The lighting made it hard to showcase the food though without the red hue and I wasn't about to bust out a ring light at dinner. No shame if you do though, it's just not for me. Situated at an unassuming plaza in Chinatown, Lasita serves modernized Filipino cuisine. Lots of parking available in the streets surrounding the Plaza and paid parking lots. It did fill up pretty fast so reservations are always good. There are seats outside on the patio to cater to more guests, but inside is where it's at. We ordered their version of a Pancit Canton [$22] which was a lot more zesty than a normal pancit canton and filled with fresh veggies. Great dish! Also got the Chicken Inasal half? [$24], the menu did not specify if it was a whole or half order, but it was enough for 2 people. This dish I was a bit disappointed in as this was their star entree. It tasted... basic. It didn't have a unique twist to it. The chicken was still really good, juicy, not dry but did not live up to the hype. Next we ordered the braised brisket Kaldereta [$49]. The braised brisket was to die for. Loved the way it was cooked and I lived for the 'crunch/burnt' part. The sauce was also basic- no unique twist to someone who's had the dish before, but overall good. I don't think it was worth that price though. We shared the garlic rice which is always a 5 outta 5. Topped off dinner with the Kape (coffee) Halo-halo [$14]. I don't like traditional halo-halo so this one offered the biggest twist for us. It was so good! No notes on this. I really wanted to love Lasita but service fell a bit short affecting my overall first impression of this place. My friend booked a reservation at 8:30pm and our party of 4 was seated around 8:40 (fine, the hostess did communicate to us that they were waiting on a table to leave). Ambiance (9/10): they really said no big overhead lightings, moody warm lights is their vibe and I'm all for it. The inside felt really intimate but outside, since it's situated in like a mall area, you're gonna be seated around other patrons waiting to get food at other places. Food (8/10): if you can only order 2 things from their menu, get their autumn pancit canton and add lechon to it AND their hamachi collar, the "inihaw na panga". When I tell you I sucked the meat off the bones of that hamachi collar until the bones lost its flavor, i am not joking that the flavor and texture of the fish flesh was so rich... I've never had a hamachi collar taste like that. I fear any sushi place offering hamachi collars will not hit for me in the same light. And their pancit?? Omg I've never really had pancit tbh but my friends are Filipino and they said this pancit is better than any pancit they've ever had. Their sauce was not too heavy and you NEED to add lechon for that crispy crunchy texture. We also ordered their mushroom sisig (kinda salty), garlic fried rice (nice to pair it with the himachi collar), kinilaw crust (good but not life changing). We also meant to order 2 other dishes but they ran out for the night. Service (6/10): Service is the reason for knocking off 2 stars, unfortunately. But first, the good is that when we had questions about what wine to get, our server sent over their wine specialist who gave us recommendations based off what flavor profile we like which was really cool. After we placed our food order in, that's where we felt like we didn't see our server ever. Our food took about 40 mins to come out and there was no communication from our server that it was taking longer than usual or what to expect. We were getting tipsy off the wine and I was getting hangry. The next time we saw our waiter was when he came back to say the kitchen is closing soon and gave us the dessert menu to ask if we wanted anything. Asking us if we wanted to order dessert before we even got our meal while we've been waiting for 35+ mins is diabolical especially when we haven't even gotten checked up on until you want us to order more. I was pretty annoyed and had to ask myself about the status of our order. I wish there was just more communication from our server, I feel like if he communicated and checked up on us, it wouldnt have left us guessing. read more
Holy moly this place is awesome! Went on a Friday night with no res, and they were able to seat us outside immediately! The service really stood out, and they were more than just nice! Very charming and hospitable! The food is to die for! The chicken inasal was my absolute favorite and was soooo tender and flavorful. The lechon is also such a must order!! The shroom sisig is flavored and seasoned so well too! Everything we ordered was a hit and I can't wait to return! Wish we had room for dessert! read more
Recommend making a resy because this place is busy! Had to wait awhile for a table on a Thursday evening. Vibes are great inside. The servers were super friendly and when we asked if they had a calamansi based drink, they offered to make one for us! Started with their off menu corn special which was a light and refreshing take on elote. The chicken inasal was incredibly moist and flavorful. My favorite dish of the night. The mushroom sisig and pancit are great sides to accompany. The pork belly was crispy but didn't have any unique flavor so I probably would skip next time. Ended the meal with all the desserts because why not and it was a great choice. Everyone in my party had a different favorite so choose as you wish. read more

Loved this place! The service was amazing, the staff were really friendly and made you feel like "pamilya" I went with my two girlfriends and got sinigang shrimp chips (5/5) came with more than it looks like in the pics! Pork belly (5/5) with the two crack sauces this was insanely good, get this! Caesar salad (4/5) this was good too! Crudo (4/5) id skip this, it was still delicious but kind of small and not really Filipino-y if that's what you're looking for Chicken inasal (5/5) - very good too with the two crack sauces! Garlic rice (10/5) holy moly so good prob the best I've had in LA Pancit (5/5) very good def get this! Halo halo and sago dessert - both very tasty! Super cute fancy ambience and vibes inside. It's located in Chinatown in an old ish looking plaza, kinda hidden. Feels like it stands out from the plaza and didn't really belong but in a good way! Parked right out front on the street. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my birthday. This restaurant gives really cute vibes and feels like you're really walking in the streets of Asia. We tried the Kinilaw Crudo, Pancit Canton, Chicken Inasal and Pork Belly Lechon with Garlic Fried Rice and Vegetable Atchara. Worth the try: cauli palabok, shroom sisig, summer Pancit canton, calamansi pavlova Tip: They get crowded on the weekend, try to snag a reservation at least a few days in advance. Sinigang Shrimp Chips: shrimp chips with tamarind (sour) power. Simple and self-explanatory. The tamarind flavor is prominent, and this makes for a nice snack while waiting for the main course. Kinilaw Crudo: (6) small cuts of tuna with sawsawan mignonette (sauce), EVOO. The fish was good and this had a strong vinegar flavor. Cauli Palabok: roasted cauliflower in palabok sauce (a savory, thick almost gravy-like sauce with distinct seafood and pork flavors), with patismansi (fish sauce + calamari) vinaigrette, egg, chicken skin. We added this on after our initial order just so we could say we ate some vegetables, and I'm glad we did. The cauliflower is roasted perfectly, and it pairs well with the sauce without feeling too heavy. Summer Pancit Canton: yakisoba and summer vegetables in garlic-miso vinaigrette and umami chili crunch. Reminiscent of Pancit Canton (AKA Filipino instant noodles) bags but elevated in an actually impressive way. The flavors are light and refreshing. Sizzling Shroom Sisig: blue oyster mushrooms, red onion, chili, lemon served on a sizzling plate. DO get egg with this for a more traditional take. This dish was the star of the show, the mushrooms had the perfect texture and absorbed all the flavor, so much so that I did not miss the typical pork sisig at all. If you don't know, sisig is a very popular Filipino dish that mixes savory, tangy, and rich flavors all in one. Chicken Inasal: roasted chicken with inasal butter, served with garlic mojo & toyomansi dipping sauces (YUM). This is another classic Filipino dish, with tangy, savory, and sweet flavors blended into one. The dipping sauces they provide are unique and pair well with the chicken. Pork Belly Lechon: (4) pieces of roasted heirloom pork served with garlic mojo & toyomansi. Perfectly crispy skin and tender meat. Also pairs well with the dipping sauces. Buko Pandan Sago: Buko pandan sago (coconut pearls), strawberries, toasted coconut. Liked the flavors of this one but something about it left me wanting more. Calamansi Pavlova: calamansi custard, salty whip, ginger & graham crust, maldon. Everything about this dish was perfectly well-balanced. The custard was not too tart, the salty meringue brought everything together, and the texture of the ginger & graham cracker crust added that little oomph. I kept reaching for more bites! PARKING: Located in the heart of Chinatown, limited street parking or paid parking lots available nearby. SERVICE: Our servers were funny, sociable, and attentive and made our dining experience that much better! ATMOSPHERE: Cute shop in Chinatown plaza, they provide indoor and outdoor seating. We didn't mind the outdoors since it was a nice, warm summer day, and they provided small table lamps for when it got dark. My partner and I came here with his parents for a family dinner. We're Filipino, so we're familiar with the flavors and dishes, and typically Filipinos are weary of these kinds of fusion places. However, Lasita hits the head on the nail and is able to elevate Filipino food to the next level. Every dish pays homage to the traditional flavors while also making it interesting to the modern-day foodie. I had been wanting to come here for sooo long and was so happy to have finally made a reservation and visit!! I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy but tables were full! It's a very intimate spot, good for a date night (they gave us a little anniversary ice cream! how sweet!) and overall yummy food. Traditional filipino food but elevated, and I definitely enjoyed!! My partner and I shared the shroom sisig, the lechon, and the shrimp chip appetizer. It was all so yummy!! Pricey, but it is restaurant quality so I understand. The sauces were really good, prob some of my favorite part actually. Plus the drink menu was nice as well. I sipped on a yummy ube beer! So yummy and vibes are on point! Love the modern twist to Filipino food- the chicken Inasal (and the sauces), cauliflower palabok and the coffee halo-halo were very good. Sinigang chips is also a classic. Each dish is tapas/small size so perfect for sharing and trying a lot of dishes! I also enjoyed the Ube Lager, and appreciated that they had beer selections brewed from the Philippines. My girls and I went here for dinner on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday and we immediately loved the ambiance. Super trendy Filipino fusion spot in the heart of Chinatown, tucked away across from Amboy (another spot I'll have to try) and next to Howling Ray's. We ordered a few small plates to share...although shame on us for not ordering from the main dish! From the kinilaw crudo, to the adobo'ng beef tataki, each small bite had a huge burst of flavor. Their take on pancit (with egg) had the right amount of calamansi and was very good. For dessert we ordered kape halo-halo and their special of the night, ensamada cake for the birthday girl. Overall it was quite an experience and a night we'll always remember. Happy eating! Bonus tip: there's a paid parking lot next to the restaurant at just $5 for the day! I came in here one evening to check out this Filipino spot. I parked at a meter and had no trouble locating the restaurant. It had a nice vibe to it as I headed over to a seat by the window. Having home-cooked meals in a Filipino household growing up, I often reminisce about these times whenever I am at a restaurant immersed in this culture. There were so many great options to choose from and I ultimately chose a dish that contained pancit and lechon since noodles and protein are always a great combination! It was really good and I wish I had the time to stay here longer. It is definitely a nice place for a date and the service was incredible. I am excited to go back! read more
Lasita is a upscale Filipino restaurant highlighting common Filipino dishes. I came for dinner Friday night with my friends without a reservation and waited around 45 minutes for a table. Unfortunately we got sat outside but the ambiance and lighting is way better inside so remember to make a reservation. We ordered the Kinlaw Crudo which was tuna with a mignonette. With four tiny pieces of tuna that was $21. However I will say that the mignonette had a sour, salty, and oniony concentrated flavor. We got the oyster mushroom sissig($23) with lechon(+$9) and an egg(+3). My only complaint was the egg that was 3 dollars but didn't seem or taste organic and was a normal grocery store egg. The mushroom however was nicely cooked and with the crispy lechon it was delicious. The lechon was perfectly crispy and the salty flavors of the garlic and toyomansi paired so well with the crispy pork. We also tried the chicken insal ($23) which was also very tender with amazing flavor. However the portion was very small. Lastly we got the coconut pandan sago($14). It was very interestingly salty. I think it was supposed to provide a contrast with the sweet coconut and strawberry but it was way too salty. In addition the pandan was barely noticeable on the bottom with very little pandan flavor. It tastes mostly like strawberry and sago. I would not recommend it. Personally the food was good but way overpriced for Filipino food like lechon and chicken insal which are usually affordable. What you are paying for is still great flavors, ambiance, and amazing service. read more

Our meal was made even more delicious by the AMAZING service we received. Here's what we ate, family style of course! This is my second time visiting Lasita and it does not disappoint. It's a cozy and charming Wine Bar with elevated Filipino cuisine. Ambiance and decorations make this a warm and inviting experience with great service. Bisteak 7/10 - overall a good quality steak, but wished the flavors of the traditional dish came through more. The sauce itself was nice to put on the rice and absorbed the flavor nicely, but the steak itself tasted more like a regular steak. Spring Pancit Canton 9/10 - this was a standout! Maintains the traditional flavors of pancit canton, but does so well in elevating the flavors. It was light, refreshing, and flavorful. Would highly recommend checking out this spot for date night, or a catch up with friends. read more
Hands down one of my favorite Filipino eateries! The ambiance is the cherry on top. I love ordering their Lechon and Half Pound Chicken, paired with a side of Chicken Fat Rice. The star of the show is alway their fun appetizers, my favorites are the Beef Tataki and Squash with Coconut Cream. Got super lucky as a walk-in group of 3 with a 5-min wait on a Friday night. Food was great! We shared a garlic rice, pancit, kabocha, and lechon. If you're hungry, probably would get one more dish for 3. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right. The kabocha dish had a really nice combination of flavors and textures; definitely a good recommendation from our server. The lechon was tender with super crispy skin and good sauces. Those two were our favorites but everything was good, including the garlic rice. Would definitely come back to try other things. read more
The best bite of this meal was their kinilaw with taro chips. Flavor was on point - sour, slightly creamy, and some spiciness. Great snack for sharing a bottle of their chilled red wine. Chicken fat rice was rich and buttery, I liked that they included fried garlic bits. For my Filipinos out there, their longanisa was a almost a cross between kapampangan and Vigan longanisa. Slightly sweet like kapampangan style but also very garlicy and peppery like Vigan longanisa. Their signature chicken inasal was our least favorite. Kinda dry and the inside had little to no flavor. Blueberry halo halo was okay. I would come back for drinks and light bites/snacks. I most definitely want to try their new coffee shop "kafe" concept. read more
My husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night in April. I'd made a reservation about a week prior to coming and it was easy to get. We found parking on the street nearby which was also easy to come by. Lasita is located in the strip mall where Howlin' Ray's is, and Amboy is also here, so there are heaps of great food places all clustered together in this one area. We were seated immediately after arriving. The ambiance is minimal and trendy with a reddish light. We ordered the garlic fried rice, pork longanisa, shrimp chips, and citrus salad to share between us. Everything was fine but nothing was amazing. Compared to real Filipino food, the food here tasted like a watered-down experience. We also got a dessert that was pretty unmemorable. I think this place would be fine to try if you haven't tried real Filipino food and are nervous about eating it. Staff were friendly. read more

The restaurant is small, so I recommend making a reservation or getting there early. If you've eaten Filipino food before, this is Filipino food on another level. The chefs are very thoughtful in elevating typical Filipino dishes such as pancit, pork belly lechon, and rotisserie chicken. Each bite was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sauces just add another layer of flavor, but even without them, the food is well-seasoned. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center in Chinatown, but don't let the location fool you. This was my second visit to Lasita (my partner's third), and we brought my parents here for their 50th wedding anniversary. From start to finish, it felt like the right choice. Service & Atmosphere Everyone who works here is genuinely warm and welcoming. When we arrived, Seth, the wine coordinator, came out personally to greet my parents. He asked about their wine preferences, then came back with glasses for everyone at the table. That small moment really set the tone--it felt like they cared about making the evening special. We were seated near the window, which is my favorite spot because you can watch food come out of the pass and hear the kitchen calls of "Hands!" The whole place has a cozy but lively energy, with just the right amount of buzz for a celebratory dinner. Food & Wine The menu rotates, so my favorite dish from a past visit (the pork sisig) wasn't available this time, but that just gave us a chance to try more. We went with the pork belly lechon, chicken inasal, garlic rice, and a few other plates. Every dish had that balance of richness and comfort you want from Filipino food, but elevated just enough to feel special. The lechon was perfectly crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. The chicken inasal had incredible flavor, especially paired with the toyomansi and garlic mojo. And don't skip the garlic rice--it ties everything together. The natural wines here are a big part of the experience. I'll admit I'm not usually a wine person, but the way they paired with the food really brought out the flavors. Seth's choices for us were spot on. Final Thoughts I can never totally tell if my parents are just being polite about the restaurants I bring them to, but they really did seem to enjoy themselves here. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, it was a great spot to celebrate a milestone. Lasita is one of those rare places where you can feel at home even during a special occasion.
