I picked LasikPlus because Dr January has tons of experience. Over 100,000 procedures under his belt is no small feat. I'm glad I did. The LasikPlus team is really efficient and amazing. You can tell they have the entire process down pact. They really cannot make a really complicated process easier. The day of the procedure it went incredibly fast. In the OR it's pain free and a 2 step process. The only really uncomfortable part is the appartus used to hold your eyes open. Everything else was short and sweet. Each eye took less than 10 seconds. I still can't believe that I have perfect vision now . I just had my Lasik procedure done yesterday by Dr. January, and I feel wonderful . I can see clearly , no pain whatsoever . The most uncomfortable part of this whole experience was the ride home ;which is expected as the eyes are most sensitive right after the procedure, and the numbing drops wore off. After I woke up from my nap , I couldn't believe how clear I could see and it continues to improve . Went for a consultation on 1/14 for possible Lasik procedure and the people are here are so nice. Very helpful and very informative about the benefits and procedures. After my exam, I qualified for the wavelength Lasik which included lifetime warranty as long as you go to the post op procedure check up. My Lasik planner even gave me a 25% off the lifetime! Quite disappointed in this place. A friend had his procedure done here and recommended it, but I felt like nothing but a cash cow from the moment I got there. I went in on a Saturday for the "free consultation." I felt more like she was trying to sell me a vacation home vs. an eye exam. She looked at my eyes for less than 10mins, and immediately decided that I was a candidate and proceeded to tell me the cost and the free financing they offer, as well as offer to schedule my surgery. As an informed consumer, I have been to a few places for evaluation and I brought my list of questions: pre-op, post-op, what to expect in surgery, etc., the typical questions one should ask when someone is about to shoot laser beams into your eyes. Dr. Do said that I need to do nothing pre-op, and just use eye drops post-op, and I can resume all normal activities the next day. Which, honestly, not exactly true. The worst part is that Dr. Do wouldn't even tell me whether I was getting LASIK or PRK, which will either blind me for a a few hours or blind me for 3 days. Call me crazy, but I said that I needed to know, and was informed that the surgeon will have to make that call. So I requested to meet with the surgeon prior to make a final decision whether to get my treatment here, because, again, laser beams are about to shoot into my eyes. Dr. Do said no, that it is not their policy for the surgeon to meet with the patient until the morning of the surgery. So again, I insisted I meet with the surgeon when he is in the office and find out what technology will be used on my eyes, to which she replied that she "pretty sure" it will be LASIK, but still refused me access to the surgeon. I can honestly say this was a miracle. I have or should I say "had" horrible vision. It was about -7.25 in left eye and -6.5 in right eye or in simple terms, I couldn't see the big "E" on the eye chart at all nor anything 3 inches from my face. Yep, that bad. I had the surgery done yesterday and today during my check-up I have 20/20 with both eyes. Absolutely amazing. I can't even explain it. So, to sum up everything for the curious minds I had my free examination a couple of weeks ago to see if I was qualified. I was there for about 90 minutes like they said. The staff and nurses were very nice. I wish they didn't dilate my eyes before watching the DVD they provided because I couldn't see anything up close but that was more humorous to me than annoying. :-P After I was told I was qualified I made my appointment. I had to wear my glasses for 2 weeks so my cornea's could be back to "normal" from my soft contact lenses. If you wear hard contacts, you have to wear glasses longer before surgery. They have to make sure they get the right prescription for the laser treatment. On the day of surgery I had to wait a little longer than expected but it was very busy and I was warned earlier. Dr. Mattioli came in and explained to me what was going to happen and was very nice. First, I was brought into a room that takes your flap off. It didn't hurt, per se. It felt like someone was literally squeezing my eyeball. It only lasted 30 seconds--- for others, maybe longer but NOTHING compares to wearing hard contacts and getting dust in your eye. Trust me. I used to wear hard before switching. That feels like a piece of glass cutting into your eye. Anyway, your vision gets all dark and blurry but only temporary. Then they take you into another room to laser your "prescription" in. That felt like nothing. All you look at is a laser. The only thing is that you smell the burning which just smells like burnt hair. But the Doctor talks to you the entire time letting you know what's going on. I get up and can see! It was hazy and a little blurry but I could see. I get a whole bunch of drops and some sunglasses and go home to rest. The only discomfort I had was for an hour I had some burning in my eyes. Right after it went away I just started tearing up like crazy as if I was crying but that lasted only an hour. After that, no other symptoms. My vision is awesome. I don't really have any fluctuations. My eyes are dry but not horribly. The whole procedure really only lasted 15-20 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend this place. It's expensive but worth it. Also, my sister had it down four years ago at LasikPlus in Concord, CA and had terrific results. read more

I had my surgery here two weeks ago, somewhere around that time frame. It was a lot better than what I thought it was going to be from reading all these reviews. It was really busy, I'll give you that but everything seemed to be running at a reasonable time. I was seen first both the technicians Sabrina and Kim for my first appointment and then my recheck because my eyes are a little funky. Then again, I really thought I wasn't going to be a candidate because I've always had problems with my regular doctor fitting me into contacts. After I was dilated I was seen by Dr.Do. She was actually really nice! She answered several of my questions and that was that, I was a candidate and decided I should do this now or never. From their center director, doctors, surgeon and staff, they were all nice and supportive. The only complaint I have is that I keep almost poking my eyes because I think I have my glasses on. First let's start with the positive: my vision is a million times better. I can now see my clock while lying in bed in the middle of the night which I adore. Great for the actual procedure. Now comes the reason I would not recommend anyone go to LasikPlus: customer service. My 1st visit for the exam to see if I was a candidate was on time. After that if I was seen in under 2 hours it was a miracle. The day of my procedure I arrived at 9:15 am, no one would even talk to me until 11:30. I would ask questions about when it was my turn (and my appointment was at 10 am) and they would say "the doctor is reviewing your chart." Then they would call other patients back and have them have their procedure. The worst was for my 3 month post op exam, I was told this would take 20-30 minutes, after 2 hours of sitting in the waiting room, I left, I had another appointment. So if you can survive being treated like crap and loosing the money you paid for post op appointments and have the time to sit in their office, go for it. read more

Thanks to all the reviews, helped me make a decision and get comfortable to get this done. . Yes , I got Lasik done on my both eyes on feb 1st. And I feel great. My travel through this , 1. Heard a promotion on radio for Lasik plus offering $250 per eye. I was intrigued to know more and I took a free evaluation appointment in 5 days from then. 2. On the evaluation day, I was there for 2 hours , they did all sorts of eye exams. And gave information and a video to watch to understand what would be the procedure . 3. The staff was great, very informative and comfortable. 4. because of this promotion they had a lot of people coming in and The clinic and staff seemed to be very organized to accommodate each and everyone on time. 5. Unfortunately they said I don't qualify for the $250 price but I was offered $3500 for both eyes for lasik surgery plus free eye drops for 3 months. I did my homework and this seemed to be a good price. And their good reviews on yelp gave me the confidence to go ahead with them. 6. They gave me an open slot which was just in 3 days from then and I opted for it. 7. On the day of surgery, my appmt was at 3.30 pm and they competed the payment and consent forms process and I waited there for maybe 30 mins. Then they did an eye exam to confirm the measurements. They gave me a paper with post operation care and a opthomologist went over all the instructions again. Then a staff came in and gave me Tylenol pm to help me relax and gave one for later. Then put in the a couple of numbing eyedrops on both eyes. Then Dr. January came in and answered any questions I had and made me feel comfortable. He was great. 8. At 5.30 they took me into the first room where they create a flap on your eyes. Took around 5 mins. This was not painful but a little uncomfortable because they have to put some pressure on the borders of your eye so that your eyeball pops out a little bit so that a flap can be created. I was uncomfortable for the first eye but was fine with the second one as now I knew what to expect. 9. And they make you walk to the next room where they did the lasik which was also about 5 mins ( just the lasik was 10 secs on each eye). Did not feel a thing at all , just smelt some burning for a sec. Guess that was the laser. But I did not feel a thing. 9. Then by 5.45 I could walk out and my husband was there to drive me home. 10. The drive home took me 1 hour and that was uncomfortable because I could sense the burning and irritation on both eyes which was expected. They gave instructions to put eye drops every 15 mins to ease the burning sensation. It helped. 11. Went straight home and with my husbands help I ate my dinner with eyes closed. And took the Tylenol pm and went straight to bed at 7 pm with the sleeping eyeglasses they gave and woke up at 6 am. 12. Felt great to not worry about glasses or contacts and my vision seemed to be great. 13. Things which I did not know before surgery day were, not to use water on your eyes for a week and for somebody like me who takes head bath everyday this would be a hassle but I guess I can manage. And 2 types of eyeddrops need to be used every 1 hour for a week. 14. Overall had a 5/5 experience with lasik plus and would totally recommend. read more

I was very nervous to undergo LASIK but the outcome is worth it! Personally, I would recommend asking the doctor if you can take something stronger than Tylenol PM on the day of the surgery. A lot of my friends took Valium and had no pain; I took Tylenol PM, and had trouble falling asleep as well as a fair amount of discomfort. The operating room is cold so wear a zip up sweatshirt! They will give you a blanket as well. Dr Do was excellent and made sure to answer all of my questions. Dr. Whiteside did great work and kept me calm during the procedure. Dr wang did my follow ups and she was also a great clinician. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I even got to leave with a snack on surgery day.... I was very scared to get Lasik but it has been something I have wanted to do for a while. The staff here is incredibly friendly and comforting. They answered all my questions and put me at ease. Dr. January was awesome and I was in and out of the actual procedure within 15 minutes. The process: 1. Schedule your free consultation online or via phone. They are open early and stay open late (outside 9-5 hours). I scheduled my consultation for a Thursday morning at 7 am. You are informed to not wear contacts at least 3 days prior to the consultation. I filled out paper work as soon as I came in and waited about 15-20 min to be seen by a tech to do various test on my eyes. Then they take you to a room to watch an informational video followed by being called to be seen by an optometrist (I believe). They inform you if you are a candidate and if you are you can talk to a staff member for payment/financing options. General price is $2149 per eye. They do have financing options. I was out at around 8:40 am. 2. Schedule the procedure. There was a spot opening for the next day in the afternoon. I would advice to take more time to think about it if you need to. I went ahead and scheduled for next day. After my consultation on Thursday they gave me some information to read and consent forms to sign. I came in and got prescription eye drops and lubricating drops (not included in the original price) as well as instructions and a pair of clear protective goggles. They established my payment method and then took me to a room to test my vision one last time. They want to be as precise as possible because they go based on these test for the measurements for the Lasik procedure. The Doctor comes in and give you an overview of the prosecute and then you are put numbing drops. They then take you to the procedure room. Personally, I did not feel any pain just slightly uncomfortable pressure. Once it was over, they look at your eyes and make sure you understand the post op instructions. You are told to nap for 2-4 hours to sleep through the most uncomfortable part of the process. You have to have a driver take you home. 3. I had a follow up visit 3 days later and I had 20/15 vision! (Better than 20/20) I am happy so far and have only experienced mild discomfort (dry eye). Over all it's worth the price for perfect vision! Sabrina was super helpful and worked with me however she could to help me get my procedure done. Dr. January was pretty helpful, laid back, he definitely made it a more enjoyable experience. As for the surgery itself, it was pretty quick, maybe a few minutes, it does come with a LOT of discomfort at first for about 15 seconds, and then it's easy from there on out. Once the procedure was done my vision was actually instantly better, I could see clear across the parking lot! As for the ride home, my eyes were SUPER sensitive to light, it was almost unbearable. After waking up from my nap my eyes were almost back to normal, then came the tedious part of setting 20 alarms to remember to take all of the eye drops for the next week. After wearing glasses for 20+ years, I finally went in and had the procedure done. The whole process was extremely easy. They first have you come in for an evaluation, and then once they determine you are a candidate, they schedule your procedure. The procedure is fairly quick, Dr. Whiteside was fantastic, and everyone else is so nice and helpful. I had a VERY strong prescription, and I can now see 20/15! (better than 20/20) and don't have to wear contacts/glasses. If you're hesitant, put your mind at ease and DO IT.
