Dr. Mattioli did my sister's LASIK a few years ago and thankfully I was able to find him at his new practice. I've had a consult done at another LASIK location but they weren't as welcoming and thorough as Dr. Mattioli. He sat down and discussed every finding and actually explained it in basic terms from my first consult up until the day of my surgery. His team is outstanding. They specialize in what they do and of course are darn good at it. I rarely leave an office knowing everyone's names or what their personalities are like outside of work, but Laura, Jonah, and Janet make an extra effort to have conversations with you to take the ease out of having a boring eye exam. Can you say team LONGEVITY? They've been with him for over 8 years! Lastly, I have to briefly touch base on his technology for all you tech enthusiasts out there. The practice is fairly new so that also means new equipment and newest laser technology! Your check-in paperwork is completed on an ipad. All of your test data from the eye exams are mapped out on a computer screen so the Dr. can go over and point out what's normal and abnormal within your exam. I was referred to Dr. Mattioli for RLE (refractive lens exchange) as I did not qualify for Lasik. From the moment I stepped into the office for my first visit, I felt like they already knew me. Everyone was so kind and genuinely nice. I had never heard of RLE and both the staff and Dr Mattioli went above and beyond explaining what it is, how it works, and what the short term and long term benefits were. The days of the actual surgeries (one eye at a time a week apart) the staff went through the entire process with me as they prepped me for surgery and allowed for multiple opportunities for any questions I had. Dr. Mattioli also checked in before surgery to answer any questions I may have had. During the survey (which couldn't have lasted more than 15 minutes max) he explained what was happening along the way. Today is my follow up after my second surgery and there is no way I can explain how amazing it feels to wake up and be able to see without glasses or contacts. I can even read an email on my watch that was never an option before - even with multi focal contacts. If you are thinking about having this procedure done, stop thinking and just do it. Gorgeous office, friendly and helpful staff. Very efficient from the initial consult to the one month post op. I've worn glasses since I was 7 and my vision was horrible, but I was so scared to get lasik. I went in, got the SMILE procedure and didn't feel a thing! Lack of procedural protocols. Went in for a procedure. They had me sign paperwork under sedation Which meant it was invalid. Took off work, arranged for a driver to miss school only to be sent home without the surgery complete. My only positive is that they are Supposed to reimburse me for all costs. Of course doesn't reimburse for gas, time lost, sick day used, angst caused. I will use another doctor to do this procedure. I will not recommend them to anyone. With All of the phone calls and money paid up front, you would think paperwork being signed would be an easy task. read more

These people are the most unprofessional rip off artists in the medical world! I had to wait 3 months for the appointment. I am in a wheelchair and had to cancel my regular physical therapy to go. I drove an hour and a half through rain to get there. Then when I get there the office is on the 5th floor and the elevators are out of service! No wait to get to the office in my wheelchair! And on top of all that, when I made the appointment 3 months ago they took my insurance. But today when I get there, apparently they no longer take it. So even if the elevators were working I would still be screwed! Stay away from these people! They will screw you over and they don't care! read more

Dr. Mattioli is an excellent doctor, he performed lasik surgery on my eyes about two years ago and my vision is still a perfect 20/20. Even before the lasik surgery he was my eye doctor and made sure I didn't have any type of problems with my eyes. Thanks to Dr. Mattioli my family and I were able to be in peace another eye doctor had told us that my dad had glaucoma and that it needed to be take care of. We went to see Dr. Mattioli for a second opinion and everything that was done at his clinic to make sure my dad didn't have glaucoma or anything wrong with his eyes wasn't performed at the other doctors clinic. Update: I did call the office as I was asked and they promised to call within 24 hrs. Did they call though? Well it's April 2019 and no calls yet. Where did my comment catapult the costumer service to that they are not even back yet? Very unprofessional. Come for an appointment today (Saturday) for my mom. We had it scheduled two weeks in advanced, we scheduled by phone. Then today when we arrived we were not familiar with the area so we called the same number where we scheduled the appointment. The same lady that scheduled it answered and we asked if they were in the first or second level, she quickly replied "no! No not today we are closed today and the doctor is on his vacation already so don't come!" I replied why did she scheduled me for a day when they're not open which she replied "I don't know really any ways this is the personal number of the doctor so please don't call" why would they have the personal number of the doctor as the main number for their appointment setting? I kindly asked her if she could reschedule me for a different day she answered "no just call on Monday I don't even have my forms to schedule appointments with me ! " so rude and if I was thinking dirty sounds like both of them were having fun but I have no proof of that so no point on getting into that subject. Not coming back here at all read more

I bought a Groupon for Lasik. That felt sort of weird and bargain basement to me, but Dr Mattioli has been great. The office generally runs on time and I am able to get appointments when I need them. The surgery went fine, and they gave me the doctor's cell phone number in case anything went wrong. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I felt like they could have written out my prescriptions a little clearer. I ended up hassling at the pharmacy two different times figuring out what was written versus what my insurance would affordably cover. Make sure you asks questions before you leave the office. Dr. Mattioli and his team are what every patient looks for in a doctors office. They are very nice and always smiling. I had to call before my surgery because the prescriptions I was suppose to fill were going to cost me almost $500 (since I have no health insurance) they told me not to worry they would provide me a sample of one of them and a coupon for another one. All I had to pay with the coupon and all was $85. Another thing I like about their office is that they do not have automated phones you always get to speak with someone every time you call. I went for a consultation with Dr. Mattioli when he was practicing at a different firm. They told me I had a hole in my eye that needed to be corrected before lasik. They referred me to a specialist and I had the hole corrected in the medical center that same day. I waited a couple of months for the eye to heal. I went back to Dr. Mattioli when he opened his new location and my eyes were ready for lasik. Everything was smooth and the process was quick. I only felt minimal pain on the drive home because the road was bumpy. The surgery was painless! I think slight discomfort was a good way to describe the surgery. I went home and straight to bed. I went to Mattioli Vision Professionals for a LASIK consultation. Dr. Mattioli had done LASIK on my sister about seven years ago and she has never complained about her vision. When I got there, I was greeted by two very pleasant nurses and we got the paperwork started. The wait time was less than five minutes and I went in for a full eye exam. The nurse was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns. Then afterwards I met with Dr. Mattioli and after a thorough eye exam he told me I was a candidate for LASIK. We went through all the pros and cons and I felt ready to make a decision. He gave me prescriptions for the eye drops and also for an anti-anxiety medication to take right before the procedure. The staff assisted me with all the financial stuff and we set up an appointment for the procedure. The day of surgery went very well and very fast that I didn't really have time to worry or get nervous (plus I had taken the prescribed Xanax, which really helped). The procedure was about 15 minutes, he talked to me throughout and explained what to expect and what he was doing, and before I knew it, the whole thing was over, and as soon as I sat up I could see! The technology he has there is amazing and he's a very calming and compassionate doctor. It was a very emotional experience for me and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and better staff. It was definitely worth the drive from the north side (1960 area) to his new location on the southwest freeway. The office is very clean, comfortable and has a calming effect. I struggled with contacts for years and spent enough money on them to pay for numerous LASIK procedures. I heard about Dr. Mattioli through a friend and set up a consultation. Like most people, I was scared about having eye surgery and went into the consultation not sure if this was something I would go through with or not. During a very brief wait, I looked over a brochure on the procedure which explained the technology he uses to perform LASIK, I started to feel at ease knowing he uses the most advanced equipment available. When the nurse took me back and started the eye exam. I rifled her with questions the entire time, she was super nice and gave an informative and intelligent answer to every single question I asked. It was obvious she had been doing this a very long time and knew the procedure back and forth. After meeting Dr. Mattioli, it was apparent why his staff was so nice and professional. They are a direct reflection of him, just quite a bit prettier. Dr. Mattioli answered all my questions and evaluated my eyes to make sure I was a good candidate. He said he won't perform LASIK unless he's confident he can get good results. Lucky, I was so he further explained how things would go start to finish. When I showed up for LASIK the next week, he took another quick look at my eyes to double check everything still looked good and I went in. Again, the staff was fantastic and made me feel comfortable and relaxed thought the whole process. The actual procedure takes less than 20 minutes for both eyes. I could see immediately. The first couple of days you have to be careful and cant rub your eyes but I was driving the day after the surgery. Its been a month now and I can see better than 20/20 on the eye chart. I have no problems with dryness and can see better at night than I ever did with contacts. My only regret about LASIK is that I didn't have it done years ago. If you are considering LASIK, you will get a personal and professional experience at Dr. Mattioli's office. read more
