I actually live over one hour away from their office Dr. Sanders did my cataract surgery a little over a year ago and I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied I am. I've had poor vision my entire life, I'm currently 78 years old. My vision is now 20/15 in both eyes. I visited this location for a comprehensive eye examination and was scheduled to see Dr. Alyssa Banda, OD. However, the person who performed most of my examination appeared to be an optometry student. During the examination, I was told that my eye pressure was elevated and that I could be considered a glaucoma suspect or "pre-glaucoma" patient. I was also told that I have small cataracts in both eyes. Based on these findings, glaucoma treatment with pressure-lowering eye drops and cataract surgery were discussed. I understand the importance of monitoring elevated eye pressure and cataracts. However, my cataracts are currently not interfering with my vision or preventing me from performing my normal everyday activities. Given that, I was uncomfortable with what I felt was an aggressive approach to treatment at this stage. Before proceeding with glaucoma medication or cataract surgery, I would prefer to obtain an independent evaluation and second opinion from an ophthalmologist to confirm the diagnosis and determine whether treatment is necessary at this time. Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations as a patient, and I would not return to this location for future eye care. read more

I was referred to Dr. Salem by both my optometrist and my brother. Couldn't be happier with the outcome and my experience! I had cataracts removed and lenses implanted! My vision is awesome (no glasses needed!) You get what you pay for; if you don't mind glasses or contacts, get the inexpensive lenses. On Tuesday night, I had flashes in my right eye and, after a time, this grey shade came down from the top and obscured my vision in the top third of my eye. I called Diagnostic Eye Center Wednesday morning and asked for an appointment on Thursday or Friday. Within a short time they told me to come in that afternoon. They took varied tests and pictures of my eyes and I was advised to see my primary care doctor or my cardiologist as soon as I could. The doctor sent a message to both about my condition and told me to call to set up an appointment with either. The doctor made a follow-up call the next morning to see if I'd had any luck (which I hadn't) and called me again later that day. That's quality care! read more

I went to the Institute because of RK surgery I had done in the 1990's and major astigmatism issues. Incredibly talented network of eye care professionals. I never felt like a number being pushed through for volume sake due to their doctors and staff individualized, personal and patient attention along with their willingness to answer questions thoroughly. The medical facility is state of the art containing the necessary resources, equipment and research for a one stop shop for total eye health and optical correction. I received great care from the staff at Diagnostic Eye Center. I have sjogrens disease and sought treatment for my dry eyes. Everyone who administered all the tests were fantastic, patient and empathetic. The optometrist has sjogrens herself, and having someone who understands what it's like is very valuable. She prescribed me some eye drops as well as recommended an eye drop over the counter, which works so well! I can't imagine how good my eyes will feel when I get the prescription drops. I feel almost normal already. I look forward to continue working with them on this journey. The building is very convenient to get to and there is plenty of free parking. read more

I had my first visit at Diagnostic Eye Center this week and it was a great experience. Parking is a snap. The office is bright and the waiting area is large and comfortable. The wait was almost nonexistent. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I felt like the exam was done efficiently and Dr Sanders, Alex and Mark (and everyone else) spent considerable time with me for the exam and explaining what would happen before, during and after the procedure. At my first post op exam, I tested 20/20! I am stunned at the clarity of my distance vision, and after day 2, I can again read up close without glasses.
