Been going here for a year and a month now. Had 9 series of treatment for underarm and upper lip. I am an asian lady with dark hair and although my hair doesnt completely go away, it grows VERY fine now and random. I just had my 7th session of laser hair removal and I wanted to wait until I was done with all my sessions to write a review but yesterday Ashley was the technician who did my treatment and all I have to say is where have they been hiding her!?! Her technique is great & very detailed! The treatment is somewhat painful in certain areas but manageable. BUT Ashley's technique is amazing! One the best sessions I've had! From now on I'll be requesting Ashley! I have two more sessions and will start face sessions too and Ashley is going to be my girl! The tapping technique and stress ball help with the pain. I recommend that. The staff are all very polite and sweet. Lauren is too sweet & adorable! That's my girl! She explains the procedures very well and makes me laugh! I have been going to this location for a couple of years. The staff members are all so friendly. On my last visit I was a little annoyed. After my procedure I was sent to the front to follow up on my next scheduled appointment. The office lady was on the phone. I stood there for about 3 mins and she said I will be right with you. No problem. The problem I have is I'm a paying customer and the person the phone was not. It was another employee going over her schedule and other things which I thought could wait. I continued to stand there and wait but it seem like an on going conversation. So I left. I thought it was unprofessional to be talking to a coworker in front of a paying customer. I haven't been here in a WHILE (2019, yikes) & was nervous to come back. I walked in & was checked in at the front desk, which she informed me I would need to buy 3 more sessions since it's been so long since I've been in (understandable ). I talked with her a bit about my low pain tolerance & she advised to come 10 minutes early so they can set you up in your room and have you ice the areas and can provide numbing cream for a fee for those who are more sensitive! Tanya was my nurse, she was very kind and helpful! She showed me to my room, gave a good amount of time for me to get undressed (thank god, love not having someone walk in on me haha), and once in answered any of my questions on the service. I wasn't able to get laser done though, I totally forgot about the no self tan rule, and Tanya kindly explained why the self tan could hurt my skin, how long I should wait before coming back, and tips on how to exfoliate/check if all the self tan is off. This review is for their poor scheduling!! I had my first session of Laser treatment in September and was scheduled for my second session 6 weeks after. However, upon arrival to my appointment today 10/21, I was told I did not have an appointment but was scheduled for the following month. In fact, they said I was rescheduled on 10/20 when I NEVER called to reschedule nor was I called by LaserAway to be informed that my appointment was changed. This is extremely irritating as this service is not cheap and I need to work some of my personal plans around my appointment date due to the before and aftercare. I have read several reviews that say they have changed appointment dates without notifying the client. Extremely unprofessional and I am disappointed this happened on my second visit to LaserAway. Veronica was able to squeeze me in for 2 of 3 of the areas I am receiving treatment for, however, I will have to rescheduled to have my legs lasered within the next week. (Which exceeds the recommended 6-week return date!!) If this continues to be a pattern I will not be returning to LaserAway for any additional treatments, other than the ones I am already paying for. edit: Veronica was able to reschedule me within the next few days and I am thankful for her efforts. I started lip and chin hair removal in January and had a few months off due to COVID. When I had my first consultation/appointment, I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. I am 52 years old and certainly don't look like I did when I was in my 20's pre-children or menopause and with that being said, this staff has encouraged me, been patient with me and incredibly kind! Melody helped me make my final decision to move forward, listening to my pros and cons. She validated me and heard where I was coming from and most importantly gave me the time to decide. I came here to get Botox and Juvederm done. It's getting to the point where I needed a bit for the crows feet and little more oomph in my lips. I got the Juvederm mainly because my lips always look dry and dehydrated. I wanted them to look softer and fuller. They are naturally already plump, but I didn't like how many wrinkles they had when I would put lipstick on. I'm extremely happy with my results. My nurse, Diana, took extremely good care of me. She was very knowledgeable, answered all of my worried questions, and made the process so quick and smooth. I actually loved that she made sure I was comfortable the entire time and counted before each injection to help me brace for it (I'm a baby I know LOL). I would give this location a zero if I could! I have had several sessions at the Tustin location, but decided to try this one since it is closer to my house. When I checked in, Jennifer kept staring at herself in the mirror at her desk, touching up her make up, putting on lip gloss, and would not take her eyes off of herself in the mirror, not professional AT ALL. When I get my treatment done the room was dirty, dusty, paint stains on the chairs, I honestly questioned whether the sheets and gowns were even clean! The Nurse was rude and it seemed like she did not want to be there at all. I finished my treatment, I scheduled my next appointment and left. Weeks pass, and I receive a text on the Sunday before my scheduled treatment for Tuesday, asking to confirm my appointment. Reply "YES" to confirm or "NO" to cancel. I replied "NO" as I have done several times before in the past and the response texted me back thanking me for replying and with a number to call when I am ready to reschedule my appointment. I then receive another text message on Monday saying my appointment is set for Tuesday. I call Tustin location to cancel, AGAIN, after already cancelling the first time since I had work and would not be able to make it. An exceptional woman assisted me and confirmed my appointment was cancelled for Tuesday. I was confused as to why another appointment was made when I had already confirmed my cancelled appointment, but let it go. THEN, Tuesday I get a text message from the Brea location saying, "Thank you for coming in today, Nurse Coleen treated you." I WAS AT WORK ALL DAY AND CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT TWICE!!! How is this even possible? Once again Brea location booked me AGAIN, checked me in, and checked me out although I never even stepped foot in there. I call and speak with Anna, obviously extremely frustrated at this point. I ask Anna who has been reinstating/rebooking my appointments? She lies to me and says two of my appointments were cancelled but one was not. I have received SEVERAL, at least 7 treatments now, to know when and how I cancel my appointments, and how to reschedule them. I don't appreciate being lied to - I rather have someone tell me the truth, that an employee there is reinstating/rebooking me without talking to me. I tell Anna I am extremely disappointed and frustrated like hello I am spending so much money on treatment and this better not count towards one of my sessions because whatever game they are playing to make money is a scam. She says it will not count towards my sessions, another lie because it did. I told Anna I will rebook when I am ready to depending on my availability but it most definitely will not be at their location especially after how RUDE and CARELESS they are. All she said was "Okay call the other location when you are ready to reschedule." Obviously Anna. At least act like you care about your customers. Brea location needs some training on customer service and integrity. On another note, I want to thank Mona and Maria from the Tustin location these ladies are PHENOMENAL. They always take care of me and they also ensured I will receive my treatment from today. They truly CARE and VALUE their customers.
