Decided to try this out cause two of my favorite bartenders are working here now...Nicky & Tara. Basically, the old Churchill's crew have migrated here. They definitely brought the vibe and left the grime behind. This place is nicely decorated with a gorgeous massive gothic style chandelier and hide neon rose alongside video games and pool table. The music was great and we were having a great time when I went to the restroom and discovered that there was a whole dance club in the back. Taberna las Rosas is a tequila heavy full-service bar that's looking to make an entrance into the Allapattah scene just west of Wynwood. The edgy and retro-inspired bar has a unique look with plenty of nostalgia-inducing art and design elements. There's plenty of seating around a large curving bar, along with a pool table, free arcade games, and a photo booth for fun. Drink prices are very modest and the bar has a unique offering of tequila-inspired cocktails, although I opted for beer instead. The only food offering are small bags of chips (Fritos, Doritos, etc) that they will gladly load up with nacho cheese, salsa, and jalapenos upon request. At the moment, street parking is very easy to come by in the area around the bar. I've been here a few times already and really enjoy the chill vibe and uniquely decorated interior, including a large neon rose. This place deserves a 5 star for the sole fact that KYLIE works there at the bar. She's the kind of person that will change your whole existence. If you're having a bad day just go there and hopefully you are lucky to find her there because if there is any person that can brighten someone's day it's her. She is just the bringer of joy. There's no other bar like "Rosita" as the old timers called this place before it's new rebirth. It's a huge space with lots of seating at the bar and around it. The only comparison would be Churchills but clean, roomy, good smelling, cold a/c, friendly and cute-cute staff, security and no pretensions. Ask the bartender for a bag of chips with cheese/beef/jalapeños. The eye candy is plentiful. There's live music and a generous happy hour on Wednesdays til close time. Follow on Instagram. Disappointing because I wanted to like this place but the staff is very rude. I heard about it from a lot of people but living in West Palm, I had never gotten a chance to go. It started at the door with the extremely aggressive bouncer, but I let it go and decided to try to enjoy the show inside. This place is a phenomenon because I met a lot of cool people at the bar and the outside patio area, but the bartenders generally ignore you and give you attitude. Not to mention that the drink tasted terrible. I read the google and yelp reviews after my experience to see if anyone else could relate and I'm shocked at how the manager or owner responds to some people, just dismissing or denying their experiences. I don't think I'll be going again the next time I go down to Miami. read more

What can I say about las Rosas, it's a good vibe bar type place. It's always over crowded the bathrooms are a little dirty but the staff and the people are chill AF. I gave this place a bad review a couple years ago due to first impression and experience but my views have changed a lot since then. I have been frequenting Las Rosas mainly for the music and every time I go I see improvement and an overall better vibe. Cool bartenders, staff, great beer and drink selection, awesome stage and the way they renovated it is so badass and so much better since when they first opened. What can I say? I'm a fan. Nicky the bartender is freaking awesome, always has a joke & always brings an amazing vibe. He freaking rocks. Chelsie the other bartender is super cheerful & quick with your drink & a smile. She's hilarious just being her. You can come & see live music, but if you don't want to see the band, there's a totally separate bar. They thought of everything here. Recently my ladyfriend caught wind of a local Britpop® DJ nite that was to take place at Las Rosas. Since mostly all American music is garbage, we decided to go check it out. This was our first visit to Las Rosas (that's Español for "the roses" for you uncultured swines). We were surprised to find FREE parking in the back, although we had to walk through a hazardous construction zone to get to the front door. My ladyfriend ruined one of her shoes on a piece of jagged, protruding concrete. Right off the bat, guy checking ID's out front was courteous and professional, making deep and direct eye contact with me after thoroughly scrutinizing my ID picture to make sure the human standing before him was in fact "me." You could tell he was a seasoned veteran. Once inside, Las Rosas revealed itself as a sanctuary of labyrinthian proportions, with various twists and turns revealing bars, stages, commodes, and seating areas. Nooks and crannies akin to an English muffin, we did come for the Britpop® after all! We met with a colleague then headed for the bar. The servant there was polite and efficient, offering us a few cold cervezas in exchange for some mula. Smooth transaction, A++ seller! I decided to visit the bathroom, which was buzzing with activity. A handful of gents hangin' in the pisser waiting to empty their tanks. It was finally my turn up to bat. Guy next to me was streaming hands free whilst simultaneously snorting bumps of narcotics from his knuckles. YOLO bruh! Once back in the pit, DJ Tommy Gunn had queued up some Britpop® classics from Blur, Stone Roses, James, The Smiths, Morrisey. Oh and some Smiths too. Warming up with a soundcheck on the adjacent stage was local psychedelic goth band shrouded in mystery, Dénudés (that's Español for naked). I was looking forward to experiencing their relentless aural attack firsthand. The set started off moody and visceral, with an ominously chiming guitar filling up the performance space like the scent of a freshly rotted carcass. The lead singer, let's call him Gigi, appeared preemptively perched on the corner of the stage, like a raven on the shoulder of a scarecrow. For the next 30 minutes, we were treated to an uncompromising barrage of post-punk ferocity full of primal hip shaking and beer rasberries. Behind the skins was none other than local legend of the swamp, Chuck Loose, pummeling away at his kit like a demonic, catnip-induced feline. Krystal on bass was cool as a cucumber, and Michael on guitar swayed between jagged chords and droning floods of shimmering tone. Soaking wet in reverb with boots on. There was a guy on keyboards but couldn't really hear what he was doing. Moments throughout the performance I felt I was in the presence of something legendary, that first Sex Pistols gig in Manchester perhaps or a GG Allin gig minus all the excrement. Gigi hounded the rest of the band for the most part, a militant ruler with his black leather glove-clad fist. A maniacal frontman joining the reigns of Darby Crash, Stiv Bators, or Bono. Towards the end of the set, Gigi stood leering at second guitar/synth guy with a look that suggested "amp it up bruh or you're out of the band." The dance floor opened up again and the Britpop® portion of the night was underway. The crowd was pretty eclectic, consisting of mostly guys. Mostly white guys. Next up on the decks was Lord of the Dance himself, Ray Milano (like the cookie). He had just dug up a time capsule and lucky for us it contained a Case Logic CD book from 2005. Emerging from the gates guns blazing, Mr. Milano firmly addressed the elephant in the room by hitting play on Blur's Boys and Girls, a Britpop® anthem featuring a heavy disco beat and subject matter blurring the lines of gender roles and sexual preferences. A motif which encapsulated the debaucherous lifestyles of 2000's era Miami nightlife. The audience screamed and danced in joy as low bitrates permeated the atmosphere. We were treated to forgettable classics by American bands posturing as British by the likes of The Rapture, MGMT, and various others heard daily on car commercials. Although he did play a New Order song at some point to appease the jaded old scensters. I don't think music is for me. Soon enough we were on our way out, sifting through the outside patio filled to the brim with humans flapping their obnoxious mouths, perhaps taking shelter from the retrospective cringe-fest taking place on the dance floor inside. We made our way back through the treacherous construction zone to the car. Adios Las Rosas, til next time! I want to start off by saying that this is solely based on my terrible experience with the staff and people who attend this venue. I truly enjoyed this place up in till I left in tears. They have free arcade games and I really nice laid back atmosphere with very cheap beer, it was pretty much the perfect getaway from the Wynwood bar scene. Unfortunately I experienced something I could of never thought would ever happen to me considering I am such a calm person. I went to Las Rosas with 6 of my girl friends, some were here for the holidays from out of town. We sat at the booths to wait for the pool table , after the pool table had been free for a good 5min we snagged it and paid for it... 2min into the game a very aggressive man decided to come and be extremely intrusive spewing some stuff about how he was next and we took his table. We explained that we didn't know, that we had paid for the table and that we would look for him after the game was done. That wasn't good enough he decided that he would hover over the table with his very aggressive vibe and total kill our fun. An argument starts between him and a couple of my friends which leads to him calling the bouncer who is apparently his good friend. At this point we are just wasting our precious energy because this man is best friends with the entire staff and they're just amused by 6 girls in extreme discomfort begging to be saved. This entire time I am drawing on the chalk board to avoid confrontation and more arguments. I am an artist for a living so drawing to me is more than a meaningless doodle. This argument went down for a good 15min in which I worked on a drawing I really loved and wanted to at least snap a picture off. Unfortunately the bouncer decided that after watching me draw this for 15min he was going on to come look me directly in the eye and smile as he wiped his big hand across my drawing. I don't know how this sounds to others but to me it's straight up evil and bullying. The incident instantly brought me to tears, I ran out of the bar left my just opened beer behind and swore to never come back. If that all wasn't crazy enough, the cherry on top was the female bar tender yelling "don't come back, y'all don't spend any money anyway" and while the amount of money you spend at a bar should not matter... it just so happens that the night before my friend and I purchased at least 12 beers between us and tipped on each one and this night each of us purchased either a cock tail or a beer which we couldn't finish because of this bs. This is a dive bar don't expect people to be buying Moscow mules from you and tipping $5.. you are in a bar where people are going on to buy cheap beer. In conclusion unless you are best friends with everyone working you are better off not going because they will all gang up on you. I will never come back to this bar and neither will any of my friends, but it doesn't matter anyway because "we don't spend any money". UPDATE: the bar tender was the tatted up Asian chick with the long black hair and the bouncer was the chubby African American guy with the short cut. I have little faith that this information will change anything considering the way the entire staff handled the situation but since I was asked I might as well respond. read more

I went to a Gender Blender event here and it was LIT. There were some great bands, a fantastic dj for in between sets. Mega fan in the back patio area to keep you cool. Also this crazy fortune teller who no one could tell if he was real or a wax man. In any case, I trust him with my life - my future life that is, and I was not disappointed. read more

Wow if I could give this place negative stars I would I've been in this business for a very long time and it's so sad to say that when I came here at 3:36 on October 28 I was getting off a long shift coming to get a drink the head of security named Bernie and the black security guard at the front of the door racially profiled me Ive never been so insulted in my life they told me I had a bomb on me as I came through the door and he was checking me as I was wearing a see through bag (as my job requires them since I work at a club) even then when I asked to speak to a manger they brought out a heavier set woman with neck tattoos who claimed to be a bar manager there are so many things I can start to snitch about this establishment but I will make sure to take it upon myself to speak with the owners and let them know how crooked their security is and how their bartenders are pulling tricks on they're customers I definitely won't be back here and I'll definitely make sure to tell any friends or any of my customers that if your looking for a drink at four am your better off going to the corner this place is disastrous their bouncers are more worried about the front door lol this place is a joke and their owners should be well aware that they're losing customer due to their staff. I had been fiending for a drink since noon but no one wanted to flee the office with me so we finally came here about 7 last night. The place was almost empty and the neighbourhood is a little sketch, which I expected. I asked for a drink menu, there wasn't one, the bartender offered no suggestions. Since it's meant to be a tequila bar, I asked for a Paloma. The bartender asked which kind of beer I wanted. I've never had or heard of a Paloma with beer before but she insisted that's how it was made. I told her to eschew the beer then and I'd live with an "inauthentic" Paloma. She also offered me a choice of three tequilas: Patron, Cuervo and Casamigos. A little limited for a tequila bar. The drink was fine, nothing special. We spent most of our time in the outdoor area, which has some benches and graffiti walls. The space is cool but otherwise I was unimpressed and so put off by the service, I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

Amazing! I am so happy with this place. Someone told me it was good and I went the next day, its probably my new go to spot! The room with the DJ was playing great music and next time i won't be wearing heels so you will find me drinking and dancing! Drinks were average price and the service was generally friendly.
