Customer service was NOT good at all. The waiters were visibly ignoring me and yes i was respectful in every way. They messed up on my party's food over several times. The atmosphere was very nice but too pricy for this bad of customer service .

After seeing several viral TikTok videos raving about Las Brasas in Dallas, we were excited to try what was supposed to be a top-tier spot for grilled meats and authentic Mexican flavors. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the expectations. We arrived around 6:45 PM and were told the wait time could be anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes -- definitely an odd and concerning estimate. We ended up waiting 55 minutes before being seated, and even then, we had to share a table with another family due to the crowd. Red flag number two came quickly: the table next to us was visibly frustrated and complaining about how long their food was taking. Our server, however, was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Unfortunately, the kitchen couldn't keep up. After waiting an hour, we received only half of our appetizers: chips, salsa, guacamole, and pork belly. The remaining appetizers (including bone marrow) took another 45 minutes -- and to make matters worse, the bone marrow was undercooked and borderline raw. By the time our main dishes arrived, it was 9:30 PM -- nearly 2 hours and 45 minutes after we first walked in. We later learned that the staff was overwhelmed and unprepared for the Mother's Day rush, which seems like something that should've been anticipated. While we didn't demand a discount, it was disappointing that no gesture -- not even a complimentary drink or dessert -- was offered after such a poor experience. The table next to us was given $100 off their bill, highlighting the inconsistency in how guest issues are handled. Las Brasas may have potential, but unless the kitchen and management improve their operations, it's hard to recommend -- especially on a busy weekend. The total for 3 main plates sample plate, Brasas Sirloin Flap, Petite Filet Mignon and 14oz ribeye steak and couple of drinks on mother day.

The vibe of this place is amazing. Feels like you're in an old ruins building and you really feel like you're eating somewhere authentic. Some of the waitstaff doesn't speak English too well and was perfectly ok with that. They were warm and inviting to us and sat us without reservation right away. The queso flameado was good but kind of a one and done for me. Glad we tried it, but will try something else next time. Wished it were served hotter (and even with some crispy cheesiness with it). The Brasas chicken was heavenly. Super moist and juicy with excellent charcoal flavor. The rib eye was a little tough but the flavor was fantastic off that charcoal grill. Definitely gonna pass on the bloomin onion next time. The roasted corn is doing the heavy lifting for the 5 star rating. It is one of the best overall dishes I've had in a very very long time. Please order this! Can't wait to come back!

The question is, what didn't go well. NOTHING!! We came in for brunch on Sunday of the 4th of July weekend and everything was amazing. We were greeted at the door and the experience only got better. We started with their bone marrow appetizer and it was served on its own grill with salsa and tortillas. An amazing first bite. I followed that up with a Certified Angus ribeye which was one of the best steaks I have ever had in a restaurant. My wife and son had the beef short ribs and they were delicious as well. They have a great 70's and 80's soundtrack played at just the right volume so conversation isn't affected. Drinks are great and they are new in the area. Please check them ou

Such a cute restaurant! Great patio seating but we chose indoor. The bar is the focus with tables lining the wall. Exotic animal head mounts are on one wall. The Strawberry Mojito came in a bowl, very cool! The chips are crispy and the salsa has just the right amount of kick. You do pay extra for them, not complimentary. The employees are all helpful and welcoming, We chose the salmon which was the special tonight. The asparagus was lightly grilled and the potatoes finished the sides perfectly. The portions are plentiful. Nice dinner!

AMAZING experience here! We happened upon this Las Brasas by accident on our way to an event that we wanted to grab lunch somewhere close to. When we saw the patio and entrance to a place we had never been we wandered in. Turns out they just had a soft opening last night and today is their first open to the public, well it was out lucky day! When walking in we felt like we were taken into an ambiance of old Mexico. The look and feel has an authenticity that is unmatched in most restaurants today. This place is "real". Once we met the owner we understood, you see Tim is a guy who puts attention to every detail. From the 130 year old rail car converted into a table to the murals on the walls, to the sasses over the bar, there are no corners left neglected or stones unturned in this place, it's awesome! And the music in this place is awesome too, it took me back a bit, to the 80's and it works in a great way! Thankfully that attention to detail carries over into the food as well. From freshly prepared tortilla chips, to the house made salsa and guacamole, you are in for a treat BEFORE you even get your main course! Our main course was Grilled Chicken Breast with Mushrooms and Corn as our sides...it all was OMG kind of good!!! I will give you a hint, in ADDITION to whatever sides you order, make certain you get an order of corn! You can thank me later for that! The service here is fantastic as well! It is like you are eating at a friend's house and they want to make sure you like everything and are happy. Check them out, you will love them!

The food was delicious! Jason was a great server for all the food we ordered. This is on me but we never got our guacamole but still got charged. I'm sure it would've been amazing though! The open patio was nice even on a summer night with all the fans. A few flies but that's what you get when you're outdoors. The valet parking option was a nice touch too! We will definitely be back.

Truly the best food and service in far too long. The meat melts in your mouth, we tried almost every appetizer on the menu and not one left us disappointed! The care put into every dish is tasted! The atmosphere is on par and the team is passionate about your experience! Don't sleep on this one-absolutely amazing from top down!

Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. The drinks were delicious and the food came out surprisingly quickly as well. They also offer valet, but if it's packed, there's parking across the street too which was convenient. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner during the weekend. We'll definitely be coming back again!

The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
