He told me that the reason that the engine was extremely loud was because it was a HEMI. That was a lie. The Dodge Charger comes with dual mufflers. The second set of mufflers was missing and this resulted in the louder than normal sound. In addition to this, I was informed that the reason that the tire pressure sensor was activated was that there were after market tires on the vehicle. This was also a lie. Les Schwab replaced a sensor and the warning signal went away. In each case, I did not ask the question 'Why?'. The salesperson (Adonis) volunteered the information. But for the fact that he lied to me I would have given this business a 5 star rating.

I made reasonable offers based on Kelley Blue Book values, mileage, and the year of the vehicles, and instead of having an actual conversation, Adonis responded with laughing emojis and attitude. Cohen was even worse, after declining my financing offer, he sent sarcastic messages like 'Missed out on a great deal' after changing the listing price. I understand negotiating is part of car sales, but acting immature and disrespectful toward potential customers is not how a dealership should operate. JD was the only one who didn't respond rudely. He just didn't respond at all. The Jeeps also seemed overpriced for the mileage and age, and any attempt to discuss pricing was met with ego instead of professionalism.

We scheduled an appointment and drove down to Olympia the next day. When we first got there we were given a paper application and then were told that in order to be approved for a loan, we would have to trade in our other car (that was in a repo status). We specifically put on the application that we didn't want to trade in any car. We had made plans outside of the dealership to sell privately, but were told that it was a stipulation of the bank and we didn't have any option. We were hesitant, but continued with the paper application. Jonas ended up 'finding a way' to make it work without a trade in. Things started out a bit rocky, but got better the longer we were there. Jonas ended up getting me and my husband into a nice, clean, solid car (2014 VW Passat). He was very helpful and friendly. He listened to our needs and worked around our bad credit. He was straight up, no pressure. We are so happy with our purchase and would definitely buy from him again. Jeff O. helped us finalize the sale documents and seal the deal. He was experienced and friendly and worked with Jonas behind the scenes to get us the car we wanted. The reason for 4 not 5 stars was because of the trade in mixup and that they went to the gas station and gave us a little under a half tank after we bought the car. For us it's the little things that make all the difference, so I would suggest that they fill the tank up for new car buyers, especially on cars above $10k. It would be nice to have seen the CarFax as well. Other than those very minor things, these guys were absolutely awesome!! I would definitely purchase from them again. This place was legit. :)

Ryan was open and honest about what we could afford and Joe helped match us with a car that was perfect for our situation. They did not pressure us into a vehicle that was outside of our budget even though we were approved for more. I highly recommend this place! A great overall, low-pressure, experience. They lose a couple of stars because the car was not detailed to our expectations. There were nasty stains on the carpet, seats and crevices, grease, and trash from the previous owner. This is more of an indictment of the I-5 Cars service team. However, we postponed buying the car a couple of days for them to "detail" the vehicle and it looks as if they only did a surface wipe. To their credit, WAC did offer to take a look at the problem and possibly rectify the issue. We ultimately decided to a pay for a detailing professional to do the job since losing trust in their service capabilities and not wanting to drive back out to their location. Still a location I'd recommend to anyone looking to buy a new or used car.

A whole new fuel system was to be put in. After weeks of saying it will get started next week and stating they only have 1 lift big enough to lift my truck (highly doubt as they have service contracts with large companies), it was finally started. During the process they broke a bolt off in the engine. They called me asking for another $2400 to pull the broken bolt as insurance was not covering something they broke. After telling them I would not pay for something they broke either we are in limbo and I still have not heard back. We are now past 4 months of them having my truck. I called other ford service centers to see what their policy is on breaking something while they work and all said they would have just fixed it and not charged the customer. I am at a point where I am just ready to have the truck loaded on a trailer and start the process over again with another dealer. As I said earlier I doubt I will buy another vehicle here. Beware if you need service completed here.

My BF did some convincing for a few months before I started looking into used car dealerships. That's when I found Matthew Motors! Never once did I feel the pressure from them the entire time I was there. They just gave us the key to the 4runner we saw online and all the time we needed with the car. We tested the car as best as we could before finalizing the paperwork. I still remember before signing the papers, I asked what happens if there's something wrong with the car as I noticed the car was sold "as is" on the paperwork. They said to just give them a call and talk to them "after all, they are not in the market to sell defective cars". Fair enough. That same day, I drove 4runner around and my worst nightmare came true. THE. HORN. DIDN'T. WORK. Of course, I tested every button in the car BUT the horn *facepalm*. I immediately called them then took the car back the next day so they can have a look at it. Long story short, I had to take it to Toyota to get it diagnosed since they couldn't figure out what was going on. Toyota charged us over $500 just to DIAGNOSE what was going on and when I got the car back, two panels were missing, the cruise control and none of the buttons on the steering wheel worked. They insisted the issue was the spiral cable needs to be replaced which also caused the horn to fail.....alright(*eye-roll*) I took the car back to Matthew's Motor, gave them the diagnosis that Toyota gave me, then Jacob and Levi got to work. Not only did they get the horn working again, but they were also able to get the buttons on my steering wheel plus the cruise control working again(which apparently Toyota didn't plug my car back). Jacob and Levi, if you're reading this, I just want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" PLUS, the entire time I left my car there, Brian was extremely responsive to text and kept me updated with the status of my car at all times. I will recommend this dealership to all my friends and family and anyone I ever talk to around the Seattle area who is looking for a used car. They are an honest business, will do everything to make things right even though they contractually didn't have to.
