The parts guy said nope you have to pay extra to talk to me for my expertise, and they wouldn't make that order available for a couple of days. That is one hell of a markup, just talk to some guy with a wad of chew in his mouth and tell him exactly what I needed. So I'm gonna go ahead and do my best to make sure the revenue from my friend that gets car serviced there, is zero.

I live two hours away so I wanted to be sure this was the car I wanted. Except for the test drive and signing paperwork, everything was done by text. Steve was quick to reply to my questions. I had a good feeling about him and the car, so I arranged for a test drive. During the test drive, I asked Steve if I could stop by Auto Zone for a diagnostic scan. He had no problem with that and directed me to the nearest one. The car got a clean scan. Fees were transferred, papers signed, and I was on my way home with my little Fiat. It's been a month, and "Bella" has been great. She's 11 years old, so she's got a few beauty marks on the outside, but nothing immediately noticeable and easily touched up. I called about 10 minutes before closing, and Brian still took the time to call me back after hours to discuss what was happening with my car. From that first conversation, he was warm, knowledgeable, and gave me peace of mind that they would figure out what was wrong. I dropped my car off around 9:30 the next morning, and by 12:20 they had already inspected it and sent me a complete electronic inspection by text and email. I was SO impressed! They didn't just tell me what was wrong, they included photos of each of the bad parts showing me exactly what needed to be replaced. I've never had a shop do that before, and I really appreciated that level of transparency. Brian called right after sending that and thoroughly explained everything. What I appreciated most was that he was very clear about what needed to be repaired to get me safely back on the road and what could wait until later. There was absolutely no pressure to do everything at once. I had already prepared myself to be without my car until Monday (this is the only transportation for my household) because he had shared that it could be then in our initial call and I understood they were busy. Instead, Brian told me he could get it done THAT DAY! By 4:00, all four repairs were completed and my car was ready to go, and at what I felt like was a very reasonable cost! I couldn't get a ride there before they closed, and Brian even called me after hours to make sure I wasn't still on my way before he left. That kind of communication and thoughtfulness really stood out. Finding a mechanic you feel you can trust is such a big deal.
