We've had quite a few trees taken down, separate visits, and each time the crew cutting tried not to damage the surround area with the felled logs (the garden survives!) and I am so thankful! They are efficient and quick when it came to +3 trees it takes half an hour to get them limbed and on the ground. Rich has been to the house and has been helpful & informative on which trees we can prioritize since we still have more we'd like gone. Brandy has made sure all the guys give us calls either to schedule a visit or to let us know when they are on their way from another job. Thank you all for your help! read more

Larson just completed our second job in a year. Prices are fair, work is quick and clean up is spotless. Excellent advice and communication.

We have been using Larson Logging for many years and have never been disappointed. Their commitment to doing the best job for the customer is outstanding. But today, they raised the bar! They found two baby squirrels in my tree and carefully carried them down to keep them close to their nest so the momma could find them. They are protected in a box with warm bedding just waiting. I think it would behoove this company before cutting trees down inside of a residential area & a wetland area ( signs used to be posted,don't know if they are still) to get proof of HOA permission from whatever home owner that called them or may call them in the future to remove a tree. It's very obvious this area isn't private property to any of the homes here, it belongs to the hoa... Greenbelts aren't owned by the ppl that live there. Now, as of today, this tree is gone. Idk if more were planned to be cut down, but they left after this one & after someone informed them they didn't have permission to be cutting trees. read more

I was in need of some large branch removal from a 50' oak and 40' cedar tree in my front yard. I contacted Larson Logging on Friday, they were out for a detailed estimate an hour later and had the work done by Monday. They not only removed the branches, but were very customer-focused while doing so, asking for my preferences on the desired shape of the remaining upper branches. I have a laurel hedge growing along my property line that was well over 18 feet and much too high for me to consider cutting back. I also had a tree in my yard that was interfering with the power lines. While initially I wanted trimming on both, the estimator for Larson pointed out the tree would need service every two years due to its fast growing species and would likely not survive some work being down with my foundation, so I had it removed. With all that work, I expected to have them here all day. I was very wrong. The city came out to drop my power lines. Larson showed up on time and had everything cleaned up and were done in under 3 hours for the city to hook me up again. I am very pleased with the service. read more

I gave one star because work was done. Communication was horrible and responsiveness to a request was not honored, which resulted in the main job of tree removal being delayed by over a month. I find the other 5 star reviews hard to believe -- maybe the shape changers took over. read more

I observed Larson Logging and Tree Service working at a home near my residence. I had been looking for a company to do maintenance work on my six fir trees and Leyland Cypress in the back yard. Rich came to my home and gave me a thorough education on the condition of my trees and listened to what I viewed as a plan for the health and safety of my trees. There was no high pressure just a pleasant conversation about what needed to be done. Rich also took the time to point out trees in my neighborhood that reflected the work that I wanted to have completed. We settled on a price, and Rich called me that evening with an appointment time. When the work day arrived the crew was on time and wasted no time preparing for my job. Lorn, the owner of the company introduced me to his crew and then checked with me to go over my requests and educated his crew on the work to be done. Lorn stayed all day working right along side his crew which impressed me so much! I had the "skirts" lifted on my trees 20', the cypress trimmed back to the trunk away from the house, and sailing done on three of the main trees. Lorn and the crew were efficient, hard working, cleaned up all debris, and checked to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Lorn and his crew were truly amazing to observe during the day. Each person had their assignment and yet they worked as a team to get everything completed in a timely manner. While everyone was great, the most amazing was the man in the trees up to the very top! He checked often with Lorn to make sure things looked finished from the ground up to the top. Great job! I've had other companies do work for me in the past with very mixed results from OK to poor. I contacted Larson when a large cedar tree came down on a commercial property that is managed by the company I work for. It was the day after the windstorm that brought the tree down that I emailed asking for an estimate and got a friendly and detailed response 25 minutes later! I would have been fine with a call back in a day or two! From start to finish Andrea, Rich and the Larson team were great to work with; prompt courteous and they also discussed ways to save me money. I had 3 large dead trees on the property, one of which looked like it might fall over at any minute. Larson's bid was perfectly appropriate for the work that was needed (fall, cut up, chip up, haul away). They did the work when they said they would and did a nice job cleaning up when they left. I was also very impressed by how close to the ground they were able to cut the trees. You have to look hard to find the stumps. Well done! read more

Terrible experience working with this company didn't care what the customer wanted and was a know it all would not let the customer get a word in at all he had been short handed for a job and called me after I had applied promised me all this great pay good hours if I came to work for him so I quit my previous job to come work for him when the job was done he asked me if I could climb I said yes but I wasn't interested in climbing I was there to be a ground guy which we had previously discussed after hearing this he decided to let me go and I was screwed!! When evaluating companies to provide service you need to ensure you are protected. Otherwise unscrupulous companies can use the law to their advantage. One example is the quote. If you sign it then you have legally made a contract according to WA State. There are no protections in their quote for the customer. If you have a disagreement you have to pay your own lawyer fees. Another example is the amount of their bond. Not insurance, but the bond. You cannot sue the insurance company in a dispute but you can go after their bond. Here's the rub, many companies have the minimum bond possible so it is not worth going after as your lawyer would eat that amount up on the first day. What I recommend before dealing with Larson Logging is to provide your own written contract with a clause stating in a dispute the losing party will pay all the winning party's legal fees. Also, ensure they increase their bond to more than the amount of the job. Most companies worth their salt would agree to sign such a contract. If they don't, move on. Either way, protect yourself with a contract you provide and do not just rely on their quote. Obviously, there's a story here but it's irrelevant. You need a proper contract to protect your interests, regardless what Rich says. read more
