Highly recommend John!! One of our drain was blocked, and I saw rain water leaking from the middle of down spouts. So I asked John to help fix the clogged drain. It was snowing this week, the road was icy and driving conditions were bad. I hired other contractors for other projects on the same day. Only John show up on time. After John came, he quickly fixed the clogged drain, he pulled out a lot of rotten leaves and caked dirt from it, and blow it to ensure nothing inside. This is an old house that was not well maintained by the previous owner，　I'm worried that there are other clogging in other drains and spouts. So John disconnect all the six downspouts from the roof, cleaned all the downspout and the "ground pipe" very carefully. After that, he add plenty water to every "ground pipe", make sure the water can go away. I am very confident in the results of his work. It was still snowing, the temperature was below 32 F. John and his crew did a terrific job: they replaced a retaining wall and re-did what was a really ugly drainage area at its edge. They cleaned out brush and stumps from our side yard, and leveled it off. We bought some rhododendrons, and they planted them in the newly cleaned up area and mulched the whole thing with beauty bark. In addition, they refreshed the bark in the rest of our yard and straightened a small tree that is growing crooked in the front yard. This side yard abuts our neighbor's, and John offered to spread bark over to her side of the line so the whole area looks uniformly nice. All of this was done quickly and efficiently. The crew was pleasant and respectful of us and our neighbors--we live in an over-55 community--and we enjoyed having them here. We hired John to fix a downspout. During the work, he found that some previous parts were not strong enough (I can't tell the difference), he said "I want to do it in correct way". Then he drove to the home depot to buy the correct parts and installed. The part is inexpensive, but the trip cost 40 minutes more of his time.
