I had a bathroom remodel I was told it would take 3-4 weeks, almost 4 months later, I hired another contractor to complete the job. The tile is poorly set, it is not level, the grout is not flush with the tile. Tile was scratched. Some of the new fixtures are scratched. They received the tile in plenty of time, however failed to check the shipment and when it was time for install found the boxes and tile damaged, another delay. My husband had to fix the barn doors that were installed, while doing so, found several broken screws and numerous drill holes. The cross slates were glued on not nailed, they have been replaced twice by us. Didn't fix a joist in the floor, that was on the job list. Called me and demanded final payment when the job was not finished. (didn't pay completely until finished). It was excuse after excuse.

They can hang a shower door crooked.. but then tell you after the fact that they did it to make it plumb to the shower instead of giving you a heads up before doing it. 2. They fixed a hole in the ceiling. And when you call them on it, they come back to fix it with your own materials. 3. First attempt to reattach molding around a closet door and they break it and call it good. Second attempt to fix they cut it short and claim that it dosen't come that long. But strangely the third attempt it came out fine. 4. I had a complaint that the the mixing valve on the shower wasn't getting hot enough, so they kindly set it to scald (Max). When asked if there was an in between, they said yes but left it at max. 5. They brought a dumpster in for the demo of the bathroom and told us if we wanted to, we could put stuff in there but not to go over the lip of it. But then told us it was saposto be for the demo only and they should have charged us for it. My problem with that was if that's the case, I must have gotten a new garbage disposal and been full of all that fast food garbage that was in there too.. 6. They also wanted to charge us work that was not done. 7. The contract stated 2-piece tub but a one piece showed up, so they had to cut a hole in the side of the house and and left the corner uncovered for a day while it rained. In short, if I hadn't have check the work at all times, I would have gotten suckered.

I would like to share my experience I had with Jason at Gillette Construction…read more Our house is under contract with a buyer whose inspector wasn't sure what he was looking at on the sewer scope. All he knew is that there were "a couple of cracks and holes" in the line, but that was it. We needed to have a professional come and perform a second more thorough scope and my real estate agent set us up with Gillette Construction. Let me preface this with some background: our house is in the Historic District. It was built in 1892. And if you've ever had an old house, you know that they are individual works of art ... and pits of despair. I THOROUGHLY appreciated Jason's knowledge of how historic homes sewer lines are ran and how well-versed he is with Tacoma's residential laws regarding sewers and easements. As it turns out, we share a line with our neighbor and that intersection is at least 10 feet below ground. Additionally, the intersection of our residential line to the City's main is literally 25-30 underground. This is some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle level stuff that Jason said he had never seen before in the City and he had been working in the area for over 10 years. Unfortunately, at the aforementioned intersection with the City's main, there is a large crack due to an unknown circumstance. This should be a repair for which the City foots the bill and Jason has really gone out of his way to contact the appropriate personnel as well as send that person the photos and video of the scope on our behalf. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Jason at Gillette Construction. He spent a whole afternoon meticulously documenting, scoping, photographing, marking the line layout and generally trying to allay my deep fear of this crack derailing our entire real estate transaction. We haven't heard back from the City yet, but if nothing else, we will definitely be hiring Gillette Construction to repair our sewer line for us. Jason is a consummate profession and a credit to the company. Call them! You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely the worse power and water company to have if you are renting your home. Had a tenant of…read more5 years who was always late paying utilities. I specifically told company not to call me to ask for any extensions if she couldn't pay. Long story short, tenant left property and left a $800 Bill. This is not for one month. Power company is requiring me to pay it before restoring power or water. They have no screening process for new tenants and say they don't even get socials or pull credit. What kind of Conmpany is this. So tenants can move from house to house and not pay their bills and have absolutely no consequences. This is not fair to home owners at all. We don't get the choice of saying I don't like your service and going somewhere else. I'll never purchase another home in this area again just so I don't have to deal with this BS company.

It's been a few years since this moment occurred, still worth mentioning. We had our house built…read moreand noticed it was difficult to access the water meter, was not level and water pressure and flow rate decreased rapidly when the garden hose was on. Called, 2 technicians came out and found the meter was crushed on the downstream side, probably from being run over during construction. My yard where the meter is located is maintained and in good shape. The techs cut the grass, removed the meter, placed tarps to catch the dirt and 'tamped' everything, including the sod in place. Used a push broom on the area too, couldn't notice they had done any work at all. Zero impact! Great job!
