The shrimp-stuffed tofu and the one with eggplant was okay, just deep fried shrimp paste. It was nice eating once, but won't get them again. The duck was okay, kinda meatless. I'd only get the lotus wrap again if i was mad craving it, it was not fresh. Stay away from the deep fried taro dumplings and tofu wrapped meat dumplings, it was stale and lifeless. The tofu wrapped bamboo shoot rolls were overstuffed with meat, the tofu skin was very dry. The deep fried taro is probably the worst item on their menu. The taro was hard, it was like eating cardboard; and the shell or crust was brittle, not crunchy. Their chow mein was all carbs with a pinch of veggies and no noticeable meat, also not fresh and drowned in soy sauce. The service was good, they take apple pay. They were very willing to take my order, even gave me a few freebies for purchasing so much. The ambiance is like visiting a prison of food held behind plastic windows and floors of metal sheet rooms.

I've gotten their roasted ducks, egg rolls, fried fish for parties. I love their salted fish fried rice, that's my favorite. Not many restaurants offer this and they have this for party tray, I am sold. It's always a hit at parties too!

Wanna feel like you're in Japan? Come here!…read more Great place to sit and drink with friends. Came by with a part of 6 and it felt like we kept ordering amazing skewers and beers. The chicken skin is a must. One of the best bites! They also take pictures and post on the wall if you'd like.

The Yakitori Bar: Beer -Sake- Japanese BBQ/ Snacks…read more This is a cozy urban decorated yakitori spot where you can order single serving sized items that are delivered quickly to your table, hot and fresh. Most seating are bench style seating with a few tables that have a combination of booths and chairs. The tables fit smaller groups such as our group of 4. As previously mentioned, the items serving sizes are single serving size for the most part (although the Saba Shioyaki is good for 1-2 servings). Everything is well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Highlights: -Brussel Sprouts Crispy Brussel sprout leaves, baked to a delicious crisp. Well seasoned with a generous amount of flavored oil. -Saba Shioyaki Moist and flavorful with bright vinegar /citrus sauce. (Does have a few bones, so be careful) -Short Rib BBQ Skewer Juicy and tender, perfectly cooked full of flavor. I could eat these all day! I highly recommend this restaurant. There is a nice variety of food options, everything was flavorful, and the staff was courteous and their service was quick.

I've had this on my list for the longest time but after the reviews dropped, my interest dropped…read more We were hungry after going to the movies and the boyfriend suggested skewers. He had no idea that I had this saved so we ended up giving it a try. Dude. So good. The house special fried rice is crack albeit a little pricey ($13.99 compared to regular white rice at $2.49/bowl) but they pack it with a lot of different ingredients. It's perfect with some veggies like the chive skewers. We also loved the classic beef and lamb (minimum order of two) and lamb belly (comes in two skewers). The cut on the lamb belly is smaller than the classic lamb. The Taiwanese sausage, bbq pork with garlic, and tofu wraps (comes in ten skewers) were also delicious. Only skippable thing was the a-choy. The flavors weren't too spicy and they have a lot of drink options. Service was relatively quick but sometimes confusing in the order that it comes out. We ordered everything at the same time but the chives came out first and the a-choy came out last? Plenty of parking in the plaza; friendly (enough) service. It's a plus if you know Mandarin lol. Total was about $60 after tax and tip. We'll definitely be back!

Another new BBQ skewer spot has opened in the Bay Area…read more There are so many options, from meat, seafood, and vegetables to rice, noodle, and soup dishes - you name it! I was excited to try a variety of dishes with my friends, and as expected, we ordered a ton and finished every single bite. Some of my top favorites were the teriyaki chicken skewer, beef pineapple skewer, grilled chicken skin, grilled bun slices, sizzling tomato egg rice, and grilled enoki mushrooms. The seasoning on the skewers was spot on and thoughtfully varied depending on the dish. Everything was cooked perfectly, the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I personally love skewers, and they're the perfect meal to enjoy with friends - chatting, laughing, and sharing delicious skewers and drinks together!

Refreshing Cold Noodles and a Great Variety of Skewers…read more This was a standout meal that balanced comfort and something a little different. I came in mostly curious about the skewers, but the cold noodles ended up being the surprise highlight. Cold Noodles If you're on the fence about cold noodle soup -- get this. The broth is lightly tangy and deeply refreshing without being overly sweet or vinegary. The noodles had the perfect bite, and the sliced cucumber added crunch and brightness. Topped with two soft-boiled eggs and fresh cilantro, it was simple but extremely satisfying. On a hot day, this hits the spot in a way hot ramen just can't. And even though it's light and chilled, it's still filling. Grilled Skewers There were a lot of unique options and cuts -- lamb, chicken, beef, and more. Each skewer was well seasoned and cooked properly, with a good char but never dry. The flavors leaned slightly smoky with a hint of spice, and the meat was tender. It's a great way to try a few different proteins without committing to a big entrée. Overall Experience There was a bit of a language barrier when ordering, but the staff was friendly and made sure everything came out as expected. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was casual but comfortable. If you're looking for something outside the usual ramen or hot pot spots, this is absolutely worth visiting. Great variety, excellent flavors, and that cold noodle bowl alone makes it worth the trip. Highly recommended

I really wanted to like this place based on previous reviews. However, when you enter the…read morerestaurant and see ABSOLUTELY no other patrons, you get suspicious. We ordered a whole duck to-go. We got home and it was COLD. Like it was sitting in the refrigerator for days and they just repacked it for sale. After warning it up, it was evident that this duck wasn't made fresh. Parts of it were so tough and dry it was equivalent to jerky. If you like your duck DAYS OLD, I repeat.... DAYS OLD and DRY, get it from here. For me, I will never return again.
