By FAR, THE BEST was Larry's Smokin' BBQ. The ribs were amazing and then the tri-tip, chicken, beans and Amazing Mac N Cheese. Larry's BBQ smoker is the most amazing one I have ever seen on wheels and I would certainly call him to cater an event.

Larry was referred to me by a friend and I'm so happy I called him. Larry was genuinely excited to do my event, got back to me very quickly when after I called and was extremely easy to work with. He was proactive in asking what kind of paperwork needed to be completed for the city and took it upon himself to make sure there weren't any other licenses required. On the day of the event, he arrived on time to set up, was ready to go when the event started and was completely self sufficient. As someone planning an event with many other things to think about and do, this was fantastic. While using someone who is easy to work with is important, it really comes down to the food. Let me tell you, the food was incredible! I can't tell you how many people at my event told me how good the food was and how happy they were to have Larry's Smokin BBQ as an option. Food has been a challenge at my event in the past so this year was easily the best. I had the tri-tip sandwich and it was truly one of the best I've ever had. Also tasted the chicken and it was incredible. If you're planning a party or event, you can't go wrong with Larry's Smokin BBQ. Easy to work with and top notch food. What more can you ask for!

My husband and I got the veggie chow mein, veggie momos (dumplings), and split a mango lassi. I found the flavors of the momos to be a bit subtle (unfortunately common for veggie dumplings here in the Bay Area), but the veggie chow mein was decently flavorful. My husband liked both things we got equally, as far as I could tell. The food tasted fresh, and it was nice to be able to pick up a light lunch before continuing to trawl the farmer's market. The mango lassi is exactly what you expect (can you ever go wrong with a mango lassi?), and was nice and refreshing. It's a food truck, so the seating available is probably going to vary a lot based on where you encounter them. At the Fremont farmer's market there were a couple of tables shared between this and another truck, and since we were having a late-ish lunch towards the end of the market, we had no problem getting a table (but there was no chairs). The person at the window was friendly and answered my questions about the food when we were ordering without issue (I am allergic to eggs, so I often have to ask more questions than most people). Overall, not bad and I really appreciate that they have vegetarian options, but what I had is not enough to seek them out specifically.

The winners were the birria inspired tacos, loaded Filipino fries, Cajun shrimp skewer, ube cheesecake, and baked goods/desserts. Unfortunately the others had areas of improvement and left us wanting more. We had high hopes for more spicy & flavorful Jamaican food, richer Dubai chocolate strawberries, and actual calamansi the drink we ordered. Unfortunately I don't recall all of the businesses we tried from, you'll have to reference the pictures. Environment/Vibes: 4 out of 5 Cool vibes, picnic tables for seating, and a strategically placed porta potties and handwashing stations. The organizers did a great with how the venue was set up! Overall: 3.5 out of 5 I enjoyed this themed night market! Clearly I'm biased and prefer flavorful over Instagramable items. So far I prefer this food event over Foodie Land due to the mostly AAPI focused food vendors and shopping booths. Not going to lie the prices will be inflated since the vendors have to pay "rent" for the space they take up. Strategically go with at least 4-5 people so you can try different things. I thought a lot of the vendors did a great job with fusion inspired items.

It usually happens about 2 - 3 weekends a year, so check out their website or follow them on social media to stay tuned for their dates. Parking is in their lot (paid parking), unless you could find nearby parking (no parking in the neighboring plazas - they may strictly enforce it, so better be safe than sorry). Coming early is recommended, so you do not have to wait in the long line of cars to get in the parking lot to park and to get through security at the entrance. There are a good amount of food and merchandise vendors with some from SoCal as well! Some are local restaurants that have some off of menu items / special exclusive items for this event only.

They only had small plastic cups when I went and if that happens to you best fill up the takeout bag instead with onions and cilantro. Al Pastor: It's so hard eating normal Al Pastor after having it like this. The fat drips down and keep it all tender and moist, the thinly cut pieces are tender and have crispy bits from the burner. A must have. Carne Asada: This also had a distinct grill taste, its heat up on the flattop so it must be from the pre-prep they did. Great tasting once fully loaded with toppings.
