I pretty much fell in love with LaRosa's food as soon as I saw how large the portions were and took my first bites. This is great Italian food in a classic yet colonial environment due to the decorations inside being white and symmetrical. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and simple. Larosa's is a pretty cool little bar, this is one of the only places open relatively late in downtown Andover. I can't speak to the food but I will say that this place pours some pretty legitimate drinks, martinis in particular... The bar area is pretty small and rather intimate but actually has a really cool vibe to it. The bartenders and waitstaff all do a great job at making sure glasses are full. The menu here consists of a lot of wine, beer and a pretty nice selection of craft cocktails. Overall, a nice spot to relax and throw back a couple of drinks. Meh....went for dinner. Made a Saturday evening reservation for bar and we were sat in the sub shop. Our server was absolutely amazing and the drinks 'Sullied Reputation' and Maine lunch on draft were excellent. Started with cheese plate and baby-backs. On the cheese plate, nothing had any flavor--bland cheeses and no flavor sausages(2 types); parmigiana cheese on a cheese plate was weird. The baby-backs were so soaked with vinegar to the point they were inedible. Entrees we're better: the short ribs on polenta were great, chicken parm was good--although the sauce was overcooked and more like tomato paste. Stopped here while driving through Andover and adored everything about this spot. It was cozy on the inside with a menu of sandwiches and salads but also had a full bar and wonderful helpful employees. We noticed they had an adorable outdoor area but with the recent snow and freezing temperatures couldn't access (next time) the burrata salad was amazing as well as the spicy broccoli. The drink menu was great, had the espresso martini that was delicious. Will be back in the near future. read more

This place is the real deal. Such a cool vibe, looks like a little antique style house with a private small brick walled back patio. WE ARE IN. My mom and I decided to try this place out for the first time a few months ago for lunch. They offer a super casual set up where you order at the counter and bring a number out to the table you choose, then staff brings out your food when ready. My mom got the meatball sub and I got a chicken salad wrap special. Everything was fresh and delicious, plus the atmosphere teleports you somewhere else, feeling the vibes. Dinner service is a little different then lunch seeing as it's full waiter service and not counter service, can't wait to be back and try out some of their dinner items and cocktails! Having lived in Andover a few years now, I cant believe I hadnt tried this great spot yet! I was in the mood last night for something with outdoor seating considering it was a beautiful summer night and LaRosa's was perfect for this! It features an awesome brick courtyard with cute lighting! Walking in, we saw that they also have prepared Italian meals and sandwiches for lunch as an option along side their restaurant. I look forward to trying some of these in the future! The dining menu outside is not huge but each dish on the menu sounded amazing which made it tough to decide what to order! We ended up starting off with the Burrata Caprese Salad. It was amazing! A very fresh large tomato with smooth, soft burrata cheese and a sweet balsamic drizzle!! Yum!! We ordered the ravioli dish and the bolognese! A great combination! I will definitely be heading here again to try numerous dishes that sounded super good, including the large meatball and their panko crustred chicken pizza!! This place is full of good intentions but fails to deliver. My 50$ steak came cold. Delicious but cold. The 25$ carpaccio I shared w my husband as an appetizer was so thin I left it for him to eat. The place has only about 16 tables (2 tops) excluding the bar. I counted and there were 9 servers working tonight. That's excluding the kitchen staff. It looked like they were hired to keep each other company since customers walk in and out without so much as a, "Hello" or, "Goodbye." They were mostly congregated in a corner busy talking to each other or watching TV. For sure you get the feeling that they are doing you a favor letting you inside to have a meal. I stopped by for the first time because the menu looked good. When you walk in right of the batt the staff aren't friendly. I was confused about where to order and they rudely told me "where you see the register." We ordered, and went to sit outside as the waiter told us to, then after we sat the manager came out and made us get up because we can't sit there. It is so humiliating to make customers get up once they've already sat down. Two minutes after we look over to see the manager herself dining there! We were shocked! The food was mediocre at best.
