    Chicken parmigiana
    Gloria L.

I got the chicken parmigiana with rigatoni. It usually comes with spaghetti noodles, but I highly recommend getting it with the rigatoni. It's a cute cafe with pretty close quarters, but very nice ambiance. The menu has pretty select items, they know what they're good at and keep their menu concise. They do sandwiches, but we came for dinner, but I'd like to come back to try them.

Awesome salads and sandwiches! We had a Caesar with grilled chicken, more than large enough for one so we shared it. I had an Italian sandwich, good with Italian meats and added mayo and Italian dressing. Lots of parking but the lots are also under construction so be aware, it might be a short walk.

LaRosa's is such a warm and welcoming place. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. I ordered their specialty, the LaRosa's pasta with vodka sauce, and I would honestly go back just for that, it was that good. The portions are huge and satisfying, definitely worth it. On top of that, the drinks were amazing too. Without a doubt, this is a spectacular spot I'd highly recommend.

    Drunken Chicken Parm sandwich

I'm so glad we finally got around to trying this place! I always love the *idea* of a chicken parm sandwich, but since I'm not a big red sauce fan I usually end up getting something else. Imagine my delight at seeing the Drunken Chicken Parm on their menu: Chicken parm made with vodka sauce! This was so good, and I finally felt I got to have the chicken parm experience. Our other item was the Caprese sandwich. They have this as a salad, too, so it was a hard choice but we were very happy with our sandwich. Very fresh and a relatively healthy pick. Service was quick - I placed an order with the very friendly staff and stepped next door for about 10 minutes to take care of other business. The food was ready just a few minutes after I got back despite quite a few customers. The shop is cute and has both outdoor and sidewalk tables. These looked comfortable, but it was take-out for us. Parking was easy in a nearby street space with municipal lots very nearby.

The food is delicious. It is pricy but you are paying for what you're getting. Good size servings, delicious and fresh food, in a great environment. My favorite is the godfather!

LaRosa's is the kinda place where you can choose your own adventure: order at the register and dine in, pick up/ take out, catering, etc. We couldn't decide so we split 2 sandwiches: drunken parm (chicken Parmesan with cheese and VODKA sauce on a brioche bun) and the angry Sicilian (Italian sandwich on thick toasted sandwich bread with fresh mozzarella). Although both were phenomenal, the drunken parm is way more rich and filling- so splitting THIS sandwich was the right move. We skipped their To Go espresso martinis but we'll be back the next time we're in town!

LaRosa's is a very cute and easy place to get lunch at. The food was outstanding and staff were extremely nice. I will have to come back for coffee and breakfast. Prices were good and the vibes were high. Thank you very much!

Great place for some takeout. Or a somewhat fancy night out. It's part store and restaurant which is nice to have that option. Got some pasta and a salad and it hit the spot for a light dinner. They were generous with the thick bread slices too. Would recommend.

    The angry Sicilian.

The sandwich was good and well put together. The flowers of the meat, cheese, veggies and balsamic go so well together. I wish the peppers were hotter but the roasted red peppers were delicious. The bread had a good toast on it but was still soft so the roof of my mouth isn't completely destroyed. Definitely make sure you have plenty of napkins. I would come back for this sangy, and probably try some others.

We're always pleased with the food however the signature drinks, which often sound great, are regularly a disappointment.

Tastes watered down. REGARDLESS, ALL THE STARS IN THE WORLD for their drinks. The peach shaken ice tea and raspberry rose teas have every complex note they describe. I'm jaded by all the fruity drinks/tea blends out there that are just too sweet and artificial. Nan's makes it perfectly. The white peach actually shines through, which is rare in my experience. The raspberry is REAL. Speaking as someone who enjoys artificial raspberry flavors of jam donuts and bottled ice tea...idk if Nan's makes it for real, but, if so, you can taste it! You still taste the tea, the fruits, the florals, it's not watered down, and best of all--not overtly sweet. Their fruit drinks have the perfect balance. It's genuinely refreshing and delicious. I find myself craving their teas all the time!!

**We found our new favorite spot!**…read more My partner and I stumbled upon Nan's Kitchen and what a delightful discovery it was! As first-timers, we were treated with such warmth and patience by the staff - no pressure, no rush, just genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. We started by sharing the hatch chili farro bowl with roasted cauliflower and hominy, fragrant ginger carrots, and lemon mustard salmon. The tomato harissa sauce and zhoug were absolutely incredible - seriously, these sauces are to die for! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were so well-balanced. Pictures are not perfect, but the lighting was so warm and comfortable, you will have to excuse them! Halfway through our meal, I spotted they had coconut carrot soup with chickpeas and ginger on the menu and literally ran back to order a cup. We ended up sharing that too, and it was such a smart move - the soup was aromatic and comforting with just the right amount of spice from the ginger. To drink, we had fresh lemonade and iced tea (both perfectly refreshing), and couldn't resist finishing with their banana pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. What really stood out beyond the exceptional food was how accommodating and friendly the service was. They made splitting dishes feel completely natural and were so welcoming when I dashed back for that soup! The attention to flavor and seasoning here is remarkable - every single component of our meal was thoughtfully prepared. We're already planning our next visit. Nan's Kitchen has absolutely earned a permanent spot on our regular rotation! Highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared food with service that makes you feel like family.

When we were in the process of losing our soul mate of a dog to lung cancer they would go above and beyond for our random orders and would always try to bring a smile to our face when we would pick it up. Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.
