Only negative: The hours listed online and on the front door said they open at 11. They opened at noon, so we killed time a few doors down. I had an issue here and they told me to "take it up on Yelp" so here I am. I went to this bar for an Eagles game with my boyfriend. About 3 minutes after walking into the bar we were offered green Jell-shots from another fan. We each took one and immediately ordered two beers from the bar. During the first half of the game we had a couple of beers and enjoyed our time, not associating ourselves with the people who had the shots. As halftime was starting we were approached by a worker who told us we had to leave because we were on camera taking Jell-O shots. Regardless of the fact that we told him that we were given them from another customer and that we didn't know they were not from the bar, they kicked us out and cursed at my boyfriend. The girl who had the Jell-O shots on her as well as her group of friends were left unbothered. I wish I didn't have to assume that this had something to do with race but we were the only people kicked out and my boyfriend was the only person of a different race. Hopefully that's not the case and it was just an unfair situation on other terms. Honestly, the only reason we went to this place was because of our favorite bartender. We went in today and they let Hobbs go. She was the best bartender, always personable and remembered who you were even in the busy downtown crowd. I don't think I'll be back any time soon or ever. She was the reason we all went. As the third spot on a night of bar-crawling, I confess that this is where my recollection begins to grow a bit hazy. Allow me to attempt the highlights of a bar that is definitely good enough to be a first stop on a bar crawl. First and foremost, the real rock star of this place is the kitchen. $2 for a basket of fries that come out hot, salty, and wonderful? Maybe it's the beer talking but that's the stuff of legend as midnight goes passing by. Second, another pro is a good beer selection at reasonable prices. Most places without visible costs on the menu typically equate to drinks you didn't want to pay for - not so here. Full pours for $5-6 of a nice selection of craft, local and otherwise, without too much of the wannabe macro-craft nonsense. Third, the only con was that the music downstairs was way, way too loud. There's a dance floor upstairs where I would expect it but it made conversation downstairs rough. Finally, this location has the aforementioned dance floor and also a rooftop patio. The patio would be the perfect spot to start a summer drinking event, and the dance floor would be a great place to catch me doing the exact opposite of tearing it up. read more

The downstairs has nice outdoor seating and a rollup door, it's long and thin, but plenty of space to belly up to the bar and other seating areas. There is also an upstairs, which i hope to enjoy in the soon future. There are some interesting beers on tap and always something for me to enjoy! Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly! Not a ton of customers on site, which to me is amazing, but for a bar, i hope they do well and attract more people the enjoy the space! Stumbled onto this new spot completely on accident. Decided to give it a try, as I always like to support small business. What a neat place! I love when the integrity of the old structures are saved, but with a modern/updated twist. The subway tiles across the bar with the exposed brick and low-hanging lights gives the bar a very unique, comfortable environment. Our bartender was very friendly, she explained that people are sent to the Hall from other bars just to try their burgers! I wasn't feeling in the mood for a burger, to be honest (that's all they serve), but I was starving.... so I split a double stacked cheese with fries with the boyfriend. Holy WOW. Best burger I've had downtown, by a serious longshot. Everything is made in house, even the ranch dressing (which, by the way, will completely knock your socks off). Very highly recommended overall, and I've already been back twice just for drinks. Can't WAIT to eat that ranch dressing again. Mmmmmmmm read more

This is such a great little bar in LoDo. They have really good drink prices and their HH menu is awesome! It's probably our favorite HH spot to start the night off with. We'll always start here and then hop around to the neighboring bars. It has a nice little patio on the roof as well if you want a more quiet surrounding. I've walked by Larimer Beer Hall quite a few times and I finally stopped in last night to satisfy my craving for either a sour or high ABV beer. They have a variety of taps (24, I believe) with an interesting mix of options. The taps were fairly common outside of a few seasonal options, so that was my only disappointment. However... they did have one sour on tap, and Oskar Blues' Gubna, so I got to satisfy both of my cravings. *score* Supposedly they have food coming (or even now?) but I didn't see any menu and the bartender didn't mention anything. Speaking of the bartender... he was really friendly and was playing some kick ass 80's hip hop, so that was a bonus. Bottom line - the prices were pretty great, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely be back to check them out, especially if they have decent food. read more

We were out celebrating our friends birthday, there was a security at the DJ booth, we asked him if we could get a shout out for her, and the security guard agreed to get it arranged. After paying the security guard, giving him our friends name and her birthday wishes, the night came to an end without any shout out. when we came to the DJ booth, he told us to F*** off. the female that was there was very understanding. The guy they had up there was rude and very unprofessional. I was DD therefore had no drinks, would definitely have their security held to a higher standard. Just accepting theifs. As I made my way downtown to LBH with my roommates for some drinks, we were shockingly not allowed into the bar because my boyfriend had a neck tattoo. Not only were the bouncers rude about it, but they suggested he put a bandaid over it if he wanted acceptance and entry into their average bar. As a former bartender and life long local of Las Vegas, he is well acquainted with high quality customer service. His tattoo isn't even slightly large or disrespectful. It was covered by a scarf and his hoodie so not directly defiling their ridiculous dress code. This is not an opera house - it's a beer hall. This is also downtown Denver, a diverse and progressive space for people of all interests and fashions to step out on the town. I stopped in at LBH a few weeks ago for their soft opening and got to try their beers on tap as well as their burgers. Both were very good! The taps are pretty common so the common beer drinker like myself will be right at home it's a nice break from the expensive breweries all around Denver but it still has all the class of a good Denver spot. It's right in the hot spot of Lodo so expect it to be busy on the weekends (obviously) their upstairs is really nice too and has a pretty big dance floor that's hopping on Fridays and Saturdays.
