Maybe I'm just getting old, but man is this place loud! Its too loud to talk, for sure. And just on the cusp of being unbearable. That being said, the espresso martini are truly great. We are glad we went for the one drink, but wish we could have stayed longer to try more. To be clear, we had the time to stay longer, but the noise level made it not worth it. The service is top tier. They bring out water right away, refill water quickly, clear empties quickly, and check in regularly. The espresso martini flight (coconut, tiramusi, and salted caramel) was not only delicious, but came on a cute light up board with different cartoon character. Thats fun! read more

Tony is the absolute BOY. The service is always on point when he is working. Tony has done nothing but make me and my girlfriend and friends so comfortable and welcomed on every stay. The bar back Marc is absolutely a star. I love the monkey bar and I love the family all of us have created here. Our favorite neighborhood dive ... can get very full depending on the night but the drinks are cheap and the darts are free!!

They took down my last review, not sure why, but this place was the WORST. My boyfriend and I decided to grab a drink here and as we walked in we noticed how dead it was- not an issue. But we were not greeted and the bartender was extremely rude. I ordered a simple drink and the bartender laughed and said "we don't have the ingredients to make that" okay all good but rude delivery. After ordering a drink I asked where the restroom was (because it was my first time there) he again was rude and said it's the door with the big sign on it. The guys was a douche to say the least. I really wanted to give this place a shot but the last straw was the bartender and staff making anti-Semitic jokes and other off color jokes. Don't waste your time or money in this dump. Went for a drink with some friends, chose this bar for being close. Accidentally grabbed wrong debit card and was harassed the entire time my partner went to grab the correct one. As a restaurant owner the unprofessional and disrespect was unmatched. Bartender knowing the situation continued to harass me while my partner drove two minutes away to obtain the other form of payment. It was a hostile environment from the moment we stepped in. Was treated as a criminal before the fact. It was clear we were not welcome before we stepped in the door. Such a shame considering I have had great experiences at other locations. read more

This is a fun, neighborhood bar with inexpensive drinks and a free comedy show on Monday nights. It's a great spot for pickle shots, well drinks and PBRs. The comedy show was a mix of local talent and would make for a fun date night or girls night out. Don't confuse this place with the Monkey Barrel, they are completely different styles of bar and completely different neighborhoods. read more

Nooooo, don't come here!! Monkey Bar is so misleading. Don't get me wrong... The bartenders rock, and who doesn't love beer pong? But it's such college vibes with the plastic bottle gin I didn't notice before getting the worst hangover of the decade. If you're only here for the karaoke and games, you'll probably have a blast. If you like free darts and beer pong this is the place for you. Drinks are cheap and I spent most of my time feeding dollars into the touch toons. Service isn't bad and bar tenders are friendly. My friends and I decided to check out this bar because we had heard good things about the games they had to offer. The drinks were well priced and they did have a lot to offer in terms of games. However, the service switched that for us and we decided to leave shortly after arriving. We had no alcohol in our system upon arrival and had to use the restroom. The first bathroom walking in was obviously very dirty and unkept. A dirty mop bucket full of brown water was propping the door open to the one stall restroom - a universal sign that it is not available for use. The other restroom however was open and we didn't fully realize that the single stall bathrooms were not unisex, which honestly shouldn't be an issue considering it is single stall. I went in to see that the door had wood chipped out and was not able to be closed or locked and went out to ask my friend to watch the door, only to find the bartender standing outside the door, angry, and verbally disrespectful. I later found out he mentioned to my friends that it was the men's restroom and that they don't allow it to lock, don't keep toilet paper in there, nor a toilet seat to specifically prevent women from using it. Not only that, but had I been using the restroom, my friends told me he was ready to walk into the restroom violating my privacy to get me out. Maybe if your restrooms were cleaner for your patrons, we wouldn't have had that issue and maybe if your service was better you'd be getting a better review. Highly disappointed in arguably the most important part of running a business. The other 1 star reviews say a lot about the type of people that run this bar. read more

Love this bar even it's kinda out of the city center where all other bars are. They have the inside bar with games and where (only 2!) bathrooms are.!5)3! There's the outside area with benches and a pool table. This spot is really cool and the drinks are expensive but then serve about double the regular size! We stayed here until closing time!! So much fun. Not 5 stars because lack of bathrooms and the bartender did not want to be there and he was unfortunately the only one working to serve the whole crowd. read more

This place is like a high school or college party without worrying about the MIPs since you actually have to be legal to come in. Beer pong rules are posted on the wall to squash most arguments, though you will spend a good portion of the game searching around people and tables to find the stray balls. If pong's not your thing, there's shuffle board, pool, ping pong, darts, giant jenga, 4 person pac man, and Mario kart (seriously!) And popcorn! My favorite moment at this bar was during a onsie party when 4 non blonds "what's going on" came on the juke box and the entire bar started belting it complete with dramaticly raised fists and closed eyes. I came here with a group of friends after a wedding rehearsal party, and we had a great time. When you walk in, it is a bit akward to navigate due to two large beer long tables right in front. The bathrooms were pretty gross. My favorite thing is that you can play pool for free outside if you're brave enough to handle the cold. read more

I live within walking distance and was looking forward to trying this place. Walked in on a weekday night when there was open seats at the bar. I have never walked into a bar and had the bartender see us, then immediately be really busy and ignore us while we stand there waiting. Never acknowledged our presence.
