Great services! Recently sold a laptop online to them. They received my computer and processed it promptly. They were super responsive throughout the entire process, and never left me "in the dark" at any points. Thus, I was never concerned as to whether or not anything was going wrong without my knowledge. Anton was very nice, considerate, and made my experience a breeze. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that when I got quoted online, I initially got quoted ~$260, but then, post evaluation, I was told that I could only get $205 for it. However, based on Anton's explanation as to why this was the case (he determined it was a bit more "used" than the website options could represent), I gladly accepted his offer, and was very pleased that I received payment in a timely manner. So, my complaint is more about the website (which is that it might not always be very accurate). In general, therefore, I'd play it safe and estimate to be offered a bit less in the end. If their quote system were a bit more accurate, they'd be perfect! read more

Prior to coming in, my laptop had two USB malfunctions and then the touchpad didn't work. I didn't feel like ordering a brand new laptop, so I went online to see local places that can fix my laptop in the same day. I called Laptop Nuts and he told me what possible problems I have. I took it in and he took out a foreign object that was in one of the ports and fixed the second one. He also told me how to fix the touchpad. He did all of this for free. This is a review for their "cash for laptops" online program, and NOT FOR THE WALK-IN STORE. I had an 8 year old HP laptop that, while old, still worked, but was very slow. Having recently purchased a new laptop, I was looking for a place that I could recycle the old one, or maybe even get some cash for it; LaptopNuts.com came up in a Google search when I looked for places that would buy old laptops, and after checking their site, it looked as if they would accept an older laptop, but just for a significantly lower price. On the online site, you simply select your laptop model from a dropdown menu, answer a few questions about condition, and the company gives you an estimate of what they will pay you for it. They provide a shipping label for you to send the computer back, so they get points for that. As I couldn't find my model laptop, I selected the oldest model on the list that I could find that corresponded to the brand, A week later, I get an email from the company saying that they "cannot buy back the laptop" because, despite it being in perfect working condition, it had an aftermarket battery and an aftermarket adaptor. (Aftermarket adaptor was an option to select when describing the computer--it did not disqualify the laptop from acceptance). Because they couldn't accept it for buyback, LaptopNuts offered to either send it back to me, or to recycle it. (Again, points there). . I later sent back a 2012 Dell laptop with the original cord, original battery, and in good working condition; I was once again told that they could not buy it back because it was too old of a model. It's only 5 years old, and it was in decent working condition. Again, I told them to recycle it. It would appear that most of the model laptops that they buy back cannot be more than 3 years old. Most people keep their laptops for longer than that. I would advise staying away from the 'Cash for Laptops' program at this store. read more

I had a broken laptop screen and called around to several different repair shops and got expensive estimates which made me feel I should buy a new laptop. I drove pass laptop nuts and gave them a call. I was quoted $125 when everyone else was quoting over $200. Dropped my laptop off and they didn't sell me on extras or bs me. It was $125, that's it. Recently I found myself with a broken DC jack on my laptop. Having experienced this with prior laptops, I figured it had to be fixable. However, previous laptops were still under manufacture warrantees which allowed me to have this problem repaired without much work on my part. I could just call the manufacturer and they would handle it all from there. This would be my first experience having to find help on my own to solve this problem. So here I was, calling Geek Squad at Best Buy to see what they could do. Come to find out, they wouldn't even know IF they could repair it until I allowed them to ship it out to their off premises location. Maybe the jack was soldered to the motherboard, blah blah blah...things I thought they could tell me upfront since they carry this particular brand. This whole process of finding out would take at least 10 days, and this was over Thanksgiving, so probably add a couple more days. I am self employed and dependant on this device. I'm not prepared to sacrifice 10 days without even knowing if it could be repaired. I decided there had to be someone out there that could help me. Even if they couldn't repair it, they could tell me immediately vs waiting 10 days. Off to yelp I was, in search of a smaller more local/flexible shop. This is when I discovered Laptop Nuts! I called them up and spoke with their guy Anton. He was very helpful and happy to take a look at my device. He was very through on the phone, letting me know what he could do once I brought the device in. I arrived that afternoon and right away Anton took a look at it. He assessed the damage and worked on it in shop to see if he could repair it immediately for me. We found that a part needed to be ordered, and it would arrive within a few days. Anton promised he'd call me as soon as it arrived so I could return with the device to have it repaired. Sure enough, even with a holiday in the midst, the part arrived within 3 days. Anton called me and I came right in. I dropped off the laptop with him, and received a call within the same day that it was repaired and ready for pick up. He also was very conscientious about making sure the laptop worked properly before I took it home. He made sure it booted up properly and the power source was charging post repairs. The whole thing cost me less than $100! Imagine my delight to not have to go buy an entire new machine just because of a power jack! Anton was very friendly and customer oriented. My experience with him will definitely bring me back to his shop with any further repairs on my electronics. I will also come back to him with any trade ins on future lap tops for my household. I am a Virtual Assistant and will not hesitate to refer my clients in need of computer repair or replacement! That is how happy I am with my experience! Laptop Nuts is a great place to go if you have a broken laptop. You could go in there to either: get your laptop fixed or you could sell it to them for a fair price. I went into laptop nuts with 2 broken laptops and spoke with a man named Anton and he was able to find exactly what was wrong with the both of them in an extremely timely manner. The first one had a bad hard drive so I just payed for a new hard drive and it was working perfectly after that. The other one on the other hand had a bad motherboard so I just sold the laptop to him for 100 bucks and called it a day. I was happy and it was fast and simple. 5 stars ***** read more
