The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. They ran their tests, charged me a fee and could not replicate the failure. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. Later that day he reached out to let me know that he believes he found the reason the game crashed (as it did for him) and he felt confident that he fixed the issue. The issue was that even though I had a McAfee VPN, the malware had created a entryway and prevented the complete McAfee suite of products from loading. He downloaded some recommended applications, quarantined the malware which enabled me to complete the security installation. They charged me to break my laptop that was working completely fine & just needed a new fan. I pick it up from them, they didn't replace the fan, the old fan is louder than ever, & the screen now doesn't work. What did these guys do? They then called me telling me to buy a worse laptop from them for $100-off a $900 laptop (the one they broke was $1500). Bunch of guys who have no idea what they're doing & don't care about the customer. Never trust them. TLDR: Charged me $100 to break my laptop
