This place is near my home and I always drove by it. Well, one day I was in need of assistance with my PC. My PC was still functioning, etc for a small minor thing that I was just curious on cost. I arrived at the facility where a lady assisted me, and instantly wanted me to fill out paper work and leave my PC with them. I explained I was looking for an estimate. she stated that I had to leave it and pay 45.00 and someone will look at it and call me. Well, I wanted to speak there and then with a person on this. A gentleman came out, I booted it up and pointed out my situation, please note.. MY PC was functioning..., he states yes, we can fix ..etc...etc. So I filled out paper work and pay 45.0. He also stated did I have a recent back-up . I stated NO, he said OK, I can do one for you. AND THAT WAS THAT!!! Lator that day I got a call from Dave stating it will cost me almost over 200.00..UGH. I can buy a NEW Laptop for that, So I stated well just leave it, I can live my PC the way it is until I can eventually get a new one. Besides, MINE still works!! I picked up my PC the next day and THAT night I tried to turn it on.. IT WAS COMPLETELY BLACK, I called and asked, DId they hook it back together correctly, he states yes, but remember you had "this" wrong with this, I stated.. YES and it was STILL WORKING. I expect when you receive something, that it comes back the same way, unless paid for to be fixed. Dave was very RUDE.. SO now my PC is useless and on top of that, I need it for my business. SO I asked for the copy of the back up. and he states he cant release? WHAT? It is my information. IT will not cost me 90.00 and hour and to bring him another PC to load it on. I am not made of money. WHO is. So this company is completely a scam. I would NOT recommend this place ever. So now they have 45.00 from me and broke my PC. I had to go out and buy a new one and pay BEST BUY to TRANSFER my Info and I ended up paying more than expected. We had an HP laptop that was fried due to a corrupt Windows 10 update. We were stupid and DID NOT have our data backed up. My wife had A LOT of photos and documents on the computer that we thought were lost forever. Dave and his staff (thank you Jeff!!) were able to do their magic and retrieve ALL of our data off of the hard drive. Since the fried laptop was 5 years old, we decided to purchase a new laptop at Helping Hand. Dave was fantastic at walking us through the steps to get us the computer that was perfect for our needs. He also recommended an external drive to back up our data - so we will never have to go through the fear of lost data. Our server was acting up and being a technician myself, I could not figure out the problem. After hours of trying to get it running smooth, I hesitantly called Secured Data Recovery Services. They did a RAID 50 Data Recovery and stated that 3 drives were corrupted with Trojans, viruses and errors. They captured and extracted the data from the old drives placing the data on new drives. They returned and had our RAID 50 back to normal. I could learn a lot from these guys. Just when you think you are smarter than the average bear, something like this happens to knock you down a peg and back to reality. I was very impressed with their knowledge of RAID arrays and would use them again. I am humbled and very grateful. read more
