Im a little late to review this spot but I came on a Saturday night a few weeks ago for my puppers bday. I actually was going to go to a competitors ice cream business but I saw a sign on the window that said "Free Pup Cup" and well I figured he deserved some ice cream instead of some whip cream I had planned out lol I got the blueberry cheesecake flavor for me and boy was it delicious. There were chunky pieces of blueberry mixed with its jelly. It was a good combo of sweet and creamy. I looked down and I saw my dog ate his cup in less than a minute, so that's a good signed that he loved it. Oh! The lady at the counter even let me grab a dog treat and I added on top of his cup. read more

Solid meh. Hot days in Livermore require ice cream. Problem is the ice cream tastes like serious freezer burn and just overall not fresh. Had the very icy Kona Coffee, and it was just like someone had bee storing it for a long time. Does no one like Kona Coffee? We were the only ones in the empty store. Maybe it was an off day, but for the price and quality I could have bought ice cream/dessert cheaper at like Shake Shack or Super Duper! read more

Lappert's Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Livermore, California

I always hand it to people that work at ice cream shop. The level of patience they have to give samples should really be commended. I first had this place in Hawaii and when I saw it was in the area while I was in town it was a must! Fun Island flavors that aren't as easily available are definitely here! It's in a cute outdoor strip mall area, must stop. Got the kauai pie but sadly forgot to take a picture because I was too greedy and ate it right away read more

Great ice cream. Great service. Came on a random Thursday night a few weeks back. Had 30 mins to make it after discovering there was a Lappert's in Livermore. Worth driving the maximum extent of the speed limit to make it before they closed. read more

Okayyyy from Hawaii to Livermore! Loved Lappert's in Oahu, so I was pleased to see that they opened one near me. I'm really picky when it comes to ice cream as I am more of a soft serve and gelato fan. But, I enjoy how creamy and smooth their ice cream is. It's also not super sweet! They have both classic (vanilla and chocolate) and fun flavors (Manila Mango and Mayor's). Can't go wrong with their vanilla like it go crazyyy. Lots of seating available inside and great service! read more

The service is the best part of this location - the staff have always been so kind! The ice cream is pretty good. The 2 biggest issues I have are the ~vibes~. The place isn't very clean. The furniture is kind of random for an ice cream shop and it doesn't look to be cleaned very often. The second issue is the absolutely awful AI videos they play on the TV. The cats giving peace signs with human fingers was so creepy. Literally play anything else but AI! read more

A cute little pace downtown Livermore. Yes I liked the icecream and they have my favorite Cookie Monster . It's nicely decorated in a Hawaiian motif with music . Comfy chairs and really good icecream. The staff is nice - it appears it's a family run business - I don't want to assume they are a couple - I think they are and they work really well together. And are fast and give a very good portion size of the Icecream. Lots of flavors / creamy smooth. Pistachio Ice cream has lots of pistachios so be happy with that - mmmmmm Very clean and welcoming I will be back read more

10.25.25's visit, review #217 I've had slight curiosity about this brand. We were strolling the small D/t Livermore after a lunch buffet on a wet, pre-Halloween Sat with trick-or-treaters. V I B E S . . . Up a couple of steps, into an elongated space. Parents w/ littles as clientele. N O T N O M S . . . Was excited about Aloha flavors, but freezer burn tastes, unfortunately. I tried Ube Macapuno (mild) & Cookie Monster (w/ so much bright blue dye, assumingly). Fam said his Kona Coffee & Kauai Pie were similar to one another. Sissies might like Guava Sorbet if they came. None of those r for me, personally. 2nd case had mostly the same flavs except + Mint Chip, White Choc Mac, Banana Cream Pie, & Coconut. Few pastries & cookies avail in the back. S E R V I C E . . . It was aiight. The girl got swamped & called the guy out from the back who showed no urgency, but no biggie. Return? No, thx P.S. If u appreciate my time, show this (Asian) sista some love by SMASHing reactions & FOLLOW if u don't already!! ;-P Thx, let there be better noms in our futures... read more

Amazing flavors, can't go wrong with anything you choose honestly. Anything coconut, Kona coffee, & macadamias nut- my faves. 4 stars only cause I was confused as to why they don't have to go lids and only offer pints(or maybe it was quarts can't remember) as a to go option. read more

This is my sons go to ice cream shop. He loves the strawberry flavored one. Bonus points, my wife and I love it too. It might be on the pricier side but honestly each scoop is worth it. They do have plenty to select from, very generous offerings that will satisfy anyone honestly. Service has always been good, friendly and they always greet my son with a smile. The only gripe i have is that it is a very small space, but i get it, it's ice cream, most of the time you just walk away and enjoy the it. Anyone walking around downtown should stop by for quality, delicious ice cream at Lappert's. read more

Lappert's Ice Cream - Double Scoop Strawberry - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Livermore, California

Lappert's Ice Cream opened recently where Falafel & Gyro Kabab House was. Totally renovated inside. New ice cream counter, new wall mural, new decor. No seating inside. 2 tables outside. This is a franchise, not affiliated with Lappert's Hawaii. Some overlap in flavas. Flavas emphasized are world flavas experienced by Owner who operates a factory in Richmond, Ca. Lappert's is a super premium ice cream, made in small batches with the finest ingredients, says they. Greeted promptly upon entry. 2 associates on duty. Was offered samples. Choose Manila Mango, Vanilla Bean. Manila I thought too sweet. Went with Vanilla Licks: Vanilla Bean (1 lg. scoop in cup 6.55) -wasn't too sweet, had rich nuanced vanilla flava. Ice cream melty as weather was hot. -a cone would have been messy re: fast melting ice cream. Also wanted to eat slowly to savor ice cream notes. 4.5 semi worthy to try once. Quality: very good. Quantity: reasonable Difficult parking on lst st. Street parking & parking lot available on either side a block away. read more

This was my first visit to Lappert's Ice Cream in Livermore. The first of its kind all the way from Hawaii if I am not mistaken. With the exception of some specialty island flavors, this is actually a pretty standard creamery-like ice cream shop offering a number of basic ice cream scoops in a cone or served in a cup. You do have the option of upgrading your cone to a waffle one. Aside from that, there are no other specialty menu items like milkshakes, smoothies, and ice cream cakes that you may find at other franchise places. Im not even sure they offer take home portions as the menu does not indicate this as an offering. It was a busy late evening crowd on a Saturday during our visit. The store has a very small footprint that hardly allows for any easy flow of traffic with how the line is setup with two long freezer cases situated lengthwise down the middle and the cash register at the front of the store. The temperature was anything but cold you would be seeking when looking forward to ice cream on a hot day. We were served pretty quickly although the wait at the cashier register took so long that I felt pressured to eat my ice cream more quickly for fear of the melting ice cream dripping down the side of my cone. Prices are on the higher-end and service is meh given the youth of the hired staff. Not a big draw for me, but if I am in the area looking for ice cream, I would consider a visit again. read more

New ice cream shop in town, bf and I wanted to try it out The ice cream is so delicious, creamy and not too sweet. I got Ube, and my bf got Banana Cream Pie. There was only one server in the parlor! He deserves a raise, he held the line down so well. The ambiance is a bit hot but it's expected, an ice cream shop on a hot day. Will be coming here again!! read more

Transported to a beautiful island...on every single trip I made to a certain island paradise the first thing I did was get my Lappert's card. Today I walked into the mothership in my town and ordered a scoop of Kauai Pie from a friendly young man in a Hawaiian Shirt. We sat on a bench outside on our gorgeous main street, and relished every creamy delicious bite. Just like on an island... Lappert's Ice Cream, of which there is no other. read more

The Wife and I visited for their opening weekend. We both ordered a single scoop in a waffle cone - The Mayor's flavor for her, and pistachio for me. Since two different people scooped, we got significantly different amounts of ice cream. There were no napkins in the dispenser, so when The Wife asked for some, she was handed one. The pistachio wasn't bad, but pretty bland. The Mayor's flavor was tastier. Cones were good. It's a Hawaiian themed ice cream parlor, and you can buy canned beer or bottles of wine, oddly. The prices were pretty darn high, not justified by what we received. The pint prices were astronomical. We'd still rather got to Loards or Meadowlark. read more

Newly open ice cream shop in downtown Livermore! Lappert's is a small shop with a line that moves quickly. They have plenty of workers which keep the line moving even when it's super busy. I must have tried every flavor before settling on the mayors creation which is an espresso based ice cream with caramel and cookie pieces. It was delicious. My partner got the Cookie Monster and hands down that was my favorite. We'll be back next time we're in the area! read more

Finally tried Lappert's, Livermore's new ice cream shop. Service was great. I tried quite a few flavors before deciding on The Mayor's. I'm definitely coming back and want to have the lychee and mango flavors next. read more

So happy that a lapperts has made its way locally, after being in Hawaii and enjoying their ice cream it's great that it's easily accessible now. I got the caramel swirl ice cream which was rich , creamy and tasted so fresh. You should be prepared that Lappert's Ice Cream serves up massive scoops. The service was friendly and prompt, but one scoop was enough for two people and I unknowingly got two scoops, the Mint and the Kona Coffee. I loved the Kona Coffee flavor which had almost a licorice aftertaste but two scoops was definitely too much, especially since I was planning to try five ice cream shops that day. I will say, their seating could use a good scrub and a redesign since it's fairly small, but otherwise I could absolutely see myself coming back for a single scoop with the honey. read more

Love that we have a Lappert's nearby now! I always enjoyed Lappert's on my trips to Hawaii and the other locations in the Bay are in Sausalito and SF so this is much more convenient. Lappert's is located right in downtown so it's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking around. It's a small shop, just for takeout, with a couple of tables right outside, up front. It just opened up a couple of weeks ago so between that and the warm Livermore evenings, I was expecting a line when I arrived on Saturday afternoon (the first day of summer!). Sure enough, the shop had a line but it moved really quickly. The two staff members that were working, were working hard and efficiently to keep everyone happy and moving. The ice cream is $6.55 for a single scoop and $10.40 for a double scoop. Waffle cones are +$1. At the time, they were only taking credit card. Along with ice cream, they also have some drinks for purchase and some coffee beans too. The ice cream was really good too! I got the Kauai Paie, which is coffee with chocolate and coconut macadamia nuts. I liked it a lot for the strong coffee flavor and the added texture from the fudge + macadamia nuts. They've got a lot of coffee flavors to choose from - perfect for the coffee ice cream lovers. I know there's a lot of other ice cream choices in the area, but if you're looking for some unique, hawaiian flavors - this is your stop. It's more expensive, yes, but if you've got a particular craving for something different and more gourmet, that's what you're paying for. They've got some room for improvement, but I'd chalk it up to growing pains and figuring it out as they've just opened. Excited to come back in the future and try more! read more

I've always loved them in the islands, and now I love them in Livermore too! At first, I wasn't sure if we needed another ice cream spot so close to the others, but honestly, each one brings something unique to the table. Plus, having a few nearby might actually help with line times since crowds can spread out between them. Now, onto the ice cream -- always top-notch. Their flavors and quality never disappoint. I was secretly hoping they'd have coffee available so I could order an affogato like back on the islands... fingers crossed that makes an appearance someday (maybe a winter special? Hint hint!). The staff working on a Thursday night were super friendly, and even though the line went out the door, it moved quickly. They also carry Kona Brewery beers, and I spotted the Mai Thai beer -- one of my favs! They also offer adult floats with wine or beer, which is a fun option (though personally, I'd keep the beer and ice cream separate -- but to each their own!). Fun bonus: they have a jar of dog treats! read more

Heard the hype are was excited to try Lappert's. Really small space with just the counter and barely enough room to squeeze through, especially if there's a line. No indoor seating, but with ice cream you're most likely going to walk and eat anyway, or just head over to Stockman's Park. The ice cream -- maybe our expectations were too high. It was ok, not great. When Meadowlark opens, that will probably be our go-to for ice cream in downtown Livermore. read more

This was a new ice cream place to my wife and I since we've been back to Livermore. We wanted to give it a try after dinner. We went with two scoops, which was more than enough. Came here after dinner. My friend and kiddo enjoyed their ice creams. Staff were friendly and establishment was clean.

Made the trip out in search for some Hawaiian style ice cream and Lappert's was spot on! They had a wide variety of flavors so we had a hard time deciding. The server said the most popular flavors were cookie monster, Kauai pie, and mayor's creation. After sampling a couple flavors we chose the mayor's creation (espresso ice cream with chocolate pieces). We thought the flavor was unique and the ice cream was refreshing and decadent. Will definitely be back if we're in the area! read more

Was super excited to try this ice creamery after hearing about it on TikTok. Was in the area last weekend and stopped by. I was honestly expecting more "Hawaiian" flavors like lilikoi, guava, litchi, etc... so I was underwhelmed when choosing which flavor. I got the mayors while my boyfriend got the Ube. Mayors was too sweet, and Ube tasted really artificial and grainy. Probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area. read more
