My girlfriend and I came here for a casual lunch, and casual is a good way to describe this restaurant. We were immediately told after being seated that they "do things differently here." They don't have physical menus, and we were asked to order our own food through their digital website with the QR code on each table. They did tell us we could order with a waiter if we wanted though. We shared the tiger cry steak and the crack belly. The steak was fairly tender with some great flavor. The sauce that came with it was nicely balanced unlike some other ones I've tried that were too sour. The crack belly was a nice portion of crunchy pork belly in a sweet and spicy sauce. The exterior was crunchy, although slightly on the dense side, and the inside was moist and tender with a good amount of fat. Overall, there were some minor nitpicks, and the service style might or might not appeal to some, but the food was fantastically flavorful.
As newcomers to the area, we were craving papaya salad and were excited to find Lao'd District on Yelp. We noticed the restaurant had many positive reviews, but we also came across several comments regarding the service and payment process. After our visit, I can understand why those concerns were mentioned. We were genuinely excited to support a Lao-owned restaurant, and overall, we enjoyed most of the food. Nam Khao (4/5): Crispy, well-presented, and flavorful. I would have liked a bit more pickled pork, but it was still very enjoyable. Chicken Laab (5/5): A favorite for our family wherever we go, and this version did not disappoint. The kids especially enjoyed it. Jerky & Lao Sausage (5/5): Both were delicious and paired well with their accompanying dipping sauces, which really enhanced the flavors. The jerky had a bit more fat than I prefer, but it was still very good. Egg Rolls (5/5): Crispy and exactly what you'd expect from a well-made egg roll. Papaya Salad with Noodles (5/5): This was one of the highlights of the meal. We requested a medium spice level, and they got it just right. We also liked the way the papaya was sliced, and the balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors was excellent. Mango Sticky Rice (2/5): Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. It was served in a to-go container even though we were dining in. The sticky rice was cold and firm, and the coconut sauce was quite thin, resulting in a dessert that lacked the texture and richness we were expecting. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and it's great to see a Lao-owned business in the community. Where the experience fell short was the service. Guests are required to pay, including gratuity, before receiving their food. While I understand this may be part of their business model, it sets expectations for attentive service that, unfortunately, we did not experience. Our dishes arrived without serving utensils, we had to request water refills ourselves, and no one checked on our table during the meal. In addition, all of our dishes were placed on one end of the table next to the baby rather than being distributed where they could be easily shared. If the restaurant is aiming for a street food or fast-casual concept, adjusting the dining experience and expectations accordingly might make more sense. However, if gratuity is collected upfront, I believe the level of service should reflect that. The food was generally very good, and I truly wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable meal. I hope the restaurant invests in additional staff training because the food deserves it. If the service improves, I would certainly consider giving it another try.
I finally made it to Lao'd District and it did not disappoint! I started with the Lao'd Chicken Skins served with sticky rice. The chicken skins were fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor from the house seasoning. The fried basil and garlic took them to another level and added the perfect crunch. To drink, I ordered the Strawberry Mule Cocktail made with strawberry puree, lime juice, mint, fresh strawberries, and their in-house infused sake. It was refreshing, slightly bubbly, and had just the right balance of sweet and tart. For my entrée, I had the Steak Tiger Cry. The picanha steak was tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully with a flavorful fat cap that really enhanced the dish. The sweet and savory lime sauce paired perfectly with the steak, and the steamed rice soaked up all the goodness. One thing I thought was really cool was the contact-free dining experience. Simply scan the QR code, open a tab, order your food, and pay right from your phone. The staff still checks in to make sure you have everything you need, so you get the convenience of technology without losing the hospitality. Overall, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the service model was seamless. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
The food was good but I was hoping to really love it. The restaurant was clean and was neatly decorated. I wasn't a fan of the ordering through a QR code at the table. I went as a group with the intention of paying on one bill and having to take everyone's order really took away from the experience. I'd come back again for a solo meal or a small meetup.
Overall I would say it was a solid but not exceptional experience. I ordered the papaya salad (spicy), which I did thoroughly enjoy. I will absolutely admit that I am not an expert on papaya salads (this only being the second time I've had one), but it came out slightly more room temperature than I think was best for it. The taste and everything else was superb though and all the vegetables tasted fresh! The spice level was perfect for me specifically, any more spicy and I think I would've struggled eating it, and any less I would have been a bit disappointed. Definitely a lot more manageable than most other south East Asian places, so order based on how you feel like your spice tolerance is typically and you should be fine. I wasn't the biggest fan of the interior or the atmosphere in general (which is a bit ironic since they were straight up playing some of my favorite artists) but that could absolutely just be down to personal preference. Service was great, the person who brought our food was extremely receptive and was on top of refilling our waters, but due to how the restaurant works we only had a brief word with a different server when we sat down about how to order when I really wanted to ask for opinions on what to order and how spicy their dishes were. Overall still a great experience and would probably be down to try out more of their dishes in the future!
Solid food! I did make reservations via google and they had our table ready right when we arrived which was nice. Got the Lao'D Sausage (really flavorful and had a nice snap when you bite into it and came with some sticky rice), Papaya Salad (quite fresh and came with a nice serving of fresh papaya, long beans, tomatoes and other veggies), Nam Khao (crispy rice, loved the crunch and herbs, cured pork it came with) and the Steak Tiger Cry (great sear on the steak itself and enjoyed the marinate it was in and the dipping sauce). The waitresses were attentive and had great customer service. You can scan the QR code and order/pay everything that way its contactless. Plenty of seating indoors. ... Got some to-go Thai food. My Thai generally surrounds around Tofu fried rice, and a curry rice. This time it was green curry. Green curry has the sprouts, kaffir like greens, and some veggies. They gave red peppers on the side to add for that more spicy kick. Ate the curry with the fried rice instead of the regular jasmine rice, liked that combination a little. Also got the Papaya salad, which is also so typical to Thai restaurants and one of my favorites. Its crunchy and just the right spice. V yummy. Service was fast and good. Restaurant is pretty well maintained.
I came here after seeing a tiktok of their lunch specials which is available from 11am - 3pm. When we sat down our server let us know that ordering was all digital and you could just use your phone but of course I believe they have the option of ordering through them as well. I upgraded the lunch special for $4 or 8 extra dollars (can't exactly remember how much the upgrade was) to get the tiger cry steak and my boyfriend upgraded to get the pork belly for $2 extra dollars. The portion they give you for lunch was amazing! They give you a lot of meat, rice, and papaya salad. I wish the tiger cry steak had more flavor to it because it was kinda plain but the quality of meat was great. My favorite was the crispy pork belly that my boyfriend had ordered though. The flavor was sweet, savory, and juicy. The papaya salad was super addictive to eat. I would definitely come again!
I came here for a late lunch with a few of my co workers. When you enter, you grab a table and there is a QR menu on the table. The QR menu allows parties to pay as one big bill or split based on what they ordered individually via phone. The lunch portion was decent sized . I ordered the lao'd jerky lunch that had a side of papaya salad, cheese roll, and sticky rice. The sticky rice is very dense, the papaya salad had a slight kick to it. The meat was sweet and not too tough. overall, the dish was good. The sticky rice was different. I had had the strawberry lycée drink. It was really good but maybe too much ice. Staff was nice and quick. The food came out very quickly too. There's free parking out front.
Soooo so good. Definitely go here! We got so many dishes and split them amongst a big group so I definitely recommend that so you can try more! My favorites were the crack belly and steak tiger cry. Absolutely do not skip those dishes! The only thing I wouldn't get next time is the curria tacos. They were still really good and made on fresh roti, but I'd just wanna try more next time! Everything came out so fast, and it wasn't busy at all. Super casual but super good. Will be back!
Came in for a quick lunch with some coworkers and was impressed! Well, first off, I'm visiting from SoCal so my standards for southeast Asian food are fairly high. That said, Lao'd District would easily survive and thrive in my hometown. This place has all the flavors of Lao and Thai food and more importantly THE SPICE. We only ordered medium level spice to cater to the table but I could tell the heat was there. We ordered the green curry, pad thai, nam Khao, crispy glazed pork belly, and papaya salad. Whatever glazed they put on that pork belly, they should bottle and sell separately. It was so complimentary to the crispy pork skin without making it become soggy. The pad thai was a perfectly balance of tangy and slightly sweet. Only giving it 4 stars because the papaya salad came out a little salty but I would come back to give it another shot. The restaurant itself was open and inviting. It was noon so not too packed but I can see this place getting full for dinner. Super easy ordering and checkout with the QR code. Staff was quick and attentive. Definitely a spot to try if you're craving Lao and Thai food!
Ambiance -good Order process - scan to order -good and easy- no wait for server and no pressure to order or add order Food 2/10 all 3 dishes taste were off from what we like ( or used to) - too sweet for all 3, food are dry and hard- noodle was sticky and hard, rice was dry, basil chicken was dry. Food temperature was not hot enough either they let it sit for a long time or they premade. Even the fish sauce on the side was sweet. Parking- small very tight and crowded.
Place is so nice and clean. I like that you can sit down and just scan the QR code to order and pay all from your phone. Even with the self ordering the employees were still attentive and interactive to make sure you get what you needed. Food was good and well priced too! ** steak tiger cry - 4.5/5 Steak was soooo good especially with the crack sauce. The steam rice was amazing with this and made well. (I judge places based off their jasmine rice as some taste cheap) I wished there was an option to choose sticky rice with this instead but maybe I could have asked. ** crispy chicken skins - 4/5 The crispy chicken skins were really good and came with the sticky rice which I think it's best side with since you can grab a bit of rice and skin to dip in the sauce and nom. It was good but I'm not sure if i'd get it again unless I'm really craving for it but I think there's better on their menu. ** papaya salad - 4.5/5 Love love love the papaya salad and all the veggies they chose with it. It's all the veggies I mainly want in my papaya salad. The only thing I would like is that if they made it spicier. I did get the highest spice but it was not spicy enough for me. The Good, Bad and the Tasty Service was good. I was greeted as I walked in and seated at a table. Service brought water, plates and utensils. Service was friendly and answered all my questions. Note: When you sit down scan the QR code on the table to view the menu, order and pay. We decided to order: MEKONG CALAMARI 10/10 Fresh Squid, battered and fried in our famous Mekong in-house seasoning. Tossed in garlic, onions and fried basil. Crispy outside and tender inside. Seasonings were on point very flavorful. THAI MORNING GLORY (SPINACH) 8/10 Stir Fried fresh morning glory (water spinach), seasoned with garlic, chillies, soy sauce and delicious seasonings. Topped with fried garlic. Tender greens and nicely flavored. STICKY BASIL FRIED RICE 9/10 To me sticky rice is comfort food... chewy rice that feels like it will stick to your ribs. It's mixed with savory morsels of pork belly and asian sausage. Toss in a house made sauce. STEAK TIGER CRY 9/10 Marinated sous vide picanha cut steak, sliced and served with our sweet, savory lime sauce. Some pieces of meat slightly overcooked but all pieces were tender and flavorful. When the meat was paired with the savory lime sauce it kicked up the flavor to another level. Casual dining good for family, friends and dates On a busy day... parking is bad. There are limited spaces right in front of the strip center. There is an adjacent parking garage but on a super busy day that can also be a challenge. read more
Lost a star due to inaccurate description on menu. The food here is amazing, and we have consistently enjoyed our visits. I would consider this one of the best restaurants in the area for authentic Lao food. The prices are a little higher than many traditional Lao restaurants, which tend to be more casual or have a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, but the quality of the food has always made it worthwhile for us. Their Thai dishes are also excellent, especially the drunken noodles and pad Thai. Noodle dishes can be hit or miss at other restaurants and sometimes overly soggy or bland because the seasoning hasn't fully absorbed--but the noodles here have always been flavorful and well prepared. My personal favorites are the Crack Belly (pork belly) and papaya salad. They offer two styles of papaya salad, including one made with raw crab. I personally prefer the smaller crabs traditionally used in some versions, but many of my friends really enjoy this style as well. We visit at least once a month, and nearly everything we have tried has been delicious. The service is also consistently friendly and fast. Their Thai tea is one of my favorites as well. My only ongoing concern is the quality and accuracy of the fruit drinks ingredients. We have ordered the fruit drinks two or three times, and the menu specifically states that they contain fresh fruit. For example, the strawberry-lychee drink is described as containing "fresh strawberries and lychee" with purée (picture attached). However, the drink we received contained no fresh fruit--only strawberry and lychee flavored jelly. When we asked about it during a previous visit, we were told they had run out of fresh fruit. We understood that can happen, but when we ordered the drink again on our most recent visit, it was once again served with artificial-flavored jelly rather than the fresh fruit advertised on the menu. There is nothing wrong with offering jelly or preserved fruit toppings, and I understand that many restaurants and boba shops use them. However, the menu should describe the ingredients accurately, especially because some customers may be sensitive to artificial syrups or preservatives. If fresh fruit is unavailable, it would be helpful for the staff to let customers know before preparing the drink or offer a substitution. I don't mind paying slightly higher prices for quality food and drinks, but when something is advertised as containing fresh ingredients, I do expect that description to be honored. The drink itself is genuinely delicious, so I hope management takes this feedback constructively and either uses the fresh fruit listed or updates the menu description. Aside from this issue, the food and service have always been wonderful, and we will continue returning and hope there will be fresh fruits for the drinks next time. read more

We have eaten here several times. The food is fantastic!. We always get the crack belly and roti with the curry. Then we try something different. Today it was chicken skins and curria tacos. The service is also great. We will have to come back to try more dishes.see you soon! read more

Really nice place, they do have QR codes on the table to be able to open a tab and order for your table. So no need to wait for a waiter to take your order. Staff is super nice and extremely helpful and nice. Ordered the chicken skin, red curry, green curry and tiger cry. I really love fried Chicken skin, I've had it elsewhere I make it at home, this one was not my favorite, some pieces were ok and some were kinda plastic textured. And i feel like it was lacking in flavor but beautiful presentation for sure Green curry was really good, the texture of the beef super tender, I know it says there is eggplant but I think it was sliced too thin to contribute to over all texture a little too sweet for me but over all it was good Red curry the texture of the beef was really tender I wasn't a huge fan of this one. I know how many flavors and aromatics go into curry and the heat from Thai peppers have this hint of basil taste normally and this kind of felt like the aromatics of the lemongrass galangal kefir lime leaves was missing and the heat seemed to be more cayenne pepper that Thai pepper Tiger cry is suvide then grilled. I think mine was over grilled so instead of medium it was more like medium well to well done. And I'm use to that chargrilled flavor and it seemed like it was done on a flat top or pan. I will say their price points are a little cheaper than others where a curry here is about $14 and adding beef is $2 additional as where most places are about $4 Tiger cry running at $20.99 All reviews are based on personal preference and taste. these guys are super nice and efficient and the fact that most of their staff are in the back and they make it easy to order from the table rather than having too many servers is how they keep their so reasonable. So I would say give them shot see what you think. read more

the service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were solid, making it a good value overall the roti was nicely layered with a satisfying char and was especially delicious when dipped into the red curry the crying tiger steak was easily the highlight of the meal. it was cooked to the perfect doneness, very tender, and had a great balance of lean and fatty pieces the drunken noodles had a great texture, not too hard or mushy, and weren't overly oily. there were plenty of vegetables mixed in, which we appreciated. however, it wasn't spicy at all :( the basil chicken was similar in that sense. the basil was very fragrant and aromatic, and there was a generous amount of meat, but again, it lacked any real spice the red curry leaned too sweet for our taste and was heavy on the coconut, which overpowered the curry flavor we were hoping for for dessert, the mango sticky rice had a strong coconut flavor and the mango itself was soft and sweet, but the sticky rice felt slightly undercooked the nam vaan was refreshing and packed with jelly and tropical fruits, making it fun to eat, but it was overwhelmingly sweet in all, the food was decent, but we were hoping for bolder flavors and more heat. the dishes could benefit from more depth, balance, and spice to really elevate the experience! read more

This was an interesting place. Had a very minimalistic vibe to it, but the staff was really friendly. You basically just have to order from your table using the QR code, and they bring the food out to you. But when they see you walk in, they do bring water and plates to you. I ended up getting the roti tacos. Sooo delicious! So it's kind of like a twist on birria tacos since they have the cup with the curry meat sauce on the side. Really enjoyed this, and my partner did too! I also tried the pad Thai, not bad. It was pretty standard as pad Thai goes. I can't wait to try something else here! read more

Pretty authentic Lao food! I went with my Lao friend and tried a few of his favorite dishes. Overall, he said it was pretty authentic and the portion sizes were really good! Some of the flavors weren't as strong, but we found most of the dishes we ordered to be tasty. We got the Lao'd sausage, Nam khao, drunken noodles, and khao piak sen. Definitely order the Nam Khao and skip the Khao Piak Sen! - Lao'd sausage (3.8/5): The Lao'd sausage came with a side of sticky rice and some kind of spicy sauce. It was really fun to eat and flavorful. The sausage was fatty and had a good texture with chunky bits inside. I've tried Lao sausage before and found that others were more juicy and spicy, so I did find this one to be a bit lackluster in comparison. - Nam khao (crispy rice) (4.4/5): This was by far my favorite dish. The texture was amazing, it was filled with so many crispy pieces and paired really well with the crunchy lettuce. Flavor wise, I thought it was missing something because I heard it was suppose to be pretty sour and spicy, but after my friend asked for extra lime, it really brightened up the dish and I loved it! DEFINITELY ASK FOR LIME! - Drunken noodles (3.6/5): Pretty solid drunken noodles! I liked how the noodles weren't too broken and the sauce was kinda sweet. Also the veggies added a nice crunch and flavor. - Khao piak sen (loa chicken noodle soup) (2/5): I found this dish to be lacking in a lot of flavor, but the noodles had a very nice chewy texture. It's a very basic soup in general, so maybe it's suppose to be plain. Service/Ambiance: The restaurant ordering system was based on scanning a QR code then ordering and paying online. The atmosphere was very casual and relaxed. We would definitely come again especially for that Nam Khao. read more

Wow!! What I can say, what an experience. It's a hip spin on a traditional family style dinning. The atmosphere was clean and very welcoming. The staff was very attentive, pleasant, and the service was right on time. The food exceeded our expectations, my husband doesn't really do off the grid that much. Needless to say we both cleaned our plates and will most definitely return! Shout out to the owners!! Amazing job! read more

We took a short trip to Houston and decided to stop by this spot before heading back home. My husband and I are always on the lookout for authentic Lao food, and when we found this place on social media, we were so excited to give it a try. On the drive over, we browsed the menu and were even more thrilled to see so many traditional Lao dishes that you don't usually find elsewhere. The restaurant itself is super clean and modern, with a great ambiance. One small note--the booth seats were a bit lower than the table, so as a shorter person, I had to sit at the end to be more comfortable. The service was quick and friendly. Since it was our first time, the server walked us through the menu and helped explain everything, which we really appreciated. Here's what we ordered: Crab Papaya Salad (Tum Mak Hoong)- The portion was generous, and we loved that it came with *khao poon* (vermicelli noodles), so you could eat it like "Tum Khao Poon". That's something most places don't offer unless it's a separate dish. That said, the flavor was a little mild for our taste, we were hoping for more of that punchy, bold Lao flavor. Tiger Crying Steak (Suea Rong Hai)- This was a hit. Really well-seasoned, tender, and definitely worth ordering again. Lao Sour & Spicy Dipping Sauce (Jeow Som)- We weren't quite sure about this one. It tasted and looked more like a sweet chili sauce, almost like what you'd get with egg rolls. Not sure if it was a different version or a mix-up. Lao Sausage (Sai Gok)- It was just okay for us. A bit dry and lacking the depth of flavor we usually expect from Lao sausage. Sticky Rice (Khao Niew)- Simple but good. We appreciated that it was served in a traditional bamboo holder, which helped keep it warm. Thai Tea Flan- I didn't get a picture of this one, but it was alright. I expected it to be a little softer and jiggly. It had a strong cinnamon note at first, but the aftertaste leaned more toward the sweet, creamy Thai tea flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The place is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're craving dishes that are hard to find elsewhere. We do wish there were more Lao staff or representation, it would add an even more authentic, local vibe. Still, it's a solid spot and we're glad we made the stop! read more

A friend recommended Lao'd District. There were plenty of parking as well arrived early (6 pm). Please was not full and had our choice of seats. Staff came over and explained everything can be ordered online via QR code and paying via the app/website as well. We started with the Roti with curry sauce. It was tasty. We also ordered the Lao's sausages. Sausage was well seasoned. The "sauce" is one the spicy side which we liked. It also came with sticky rice that offsets the sausage's spiciness . Definitely worth trying out. We also ordered the drunken noodles and Steak Tiger Cry. Drunken noodles was good... noodles was cooked just right. Tasty as well. The star of the show was the Steak Tiger Cry that our friend recommended and did not disappoint. It is cooked rare. The meat was tender and seasoned well. Good size steak. The sauce is like chumuchuri and complements it very well. Definitely will come back to have it again. Place is clean and tables are well spaced out. You can see the kitchen behind the counter. Staff is friendly and recommended the dishes we ordered. There is also a giant display highlighting the best sellers. read more

This place has entered my regular rotation because it's so good and consistent. Have since tried the curria tacos (5/5), which is made with their roti and some phenomenally spiced ground chicken. Never seen this version of birria tacos, but loved it. So flavorful - definitely recommend! Crispy pork belly (4/5) - well prepared but the tiger eye still wins for me. Service is still 5+/5. I asked the waitress about the mocktails and she insisted that I try a sip to see if I'd like it. Really appreciated that because I ended up getting the kiwi cucumber lemonade (4/5), which was unique and refreshing. Would have preferred it less sweet, but these drinks are pre-mixed so couldn't adjust. Bonus we got two complimentary strawberry covered chocolates in honor of Valentine's Day. read more

We visited Lao'd District for a weekend lunch and left feeling, "OMG HOW HAVE WE NOT COME HERE ANY SOONER!!" The food was absolutely delicious. Everything had a wonderful balance of flavors and everything was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the cream cheese egg-rolls, pork-belly, steak, and fried chicken skins. The service was great and ambiance was very urban and relaxed. We will be back! read more

Went here Saturday with my hubby and we will definitely be back!! The staff is very friendly and brings you water & plates right away. We got the "Curria tacos" as an appetizer and we were so hungry, I didn't get a photo but they were so addictive! Love the unique take on a birria taco!! 12/10 My hubby got the pad thai and the mild spice level and he said it was delicious! 10/10 . I got the Drunken noodles with the shrimp was went perfectly with the spices! I did get spicy, and it had a nice kick to it, so may get the level below next time to enjoy even more! 10/10 ! Can't wait to go back and try even more dishes! read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spots! I always order the Tiger Cry Steak every time I come here, and it never disappoints; always cooked the way I like it. For lunch, they also include papaya salad with your meal. Today, I tried some of my friend's Thai Basil Chicken, and it was so good! I love that it includes a fried egg on top. My friend told me her roommate is also Thai and Laotian, but the food here is better than what he cooks haha. I brought my friend here for her first time, and she's now so excited to bring her other friends here, too. read more
I've been really busy recently to go out and eat in person, so I've been ordering a lot of foods to-go or through delivery. I've ordered from Lao'd District so many times so far, and all the foods have turned out so good every time. I really can't wait to eat here in person when I have the chance. So far, my absolute favorites are the Tiger Cry Steak and the Lao'd Sausages. I really think they have the best Tiger Cry Steak out of all the ones I've had so far everywhere else, and the Lao'd Sausages, which come with sticky rice, are perfect. I also really love the Crack Belly and the Mekong Calamari, and both of those always super flavorful. I've also tried the Nam Khao (Crispy Rice), and it was pretty good as well, especially the cured pork that comes with it. I also really love their Thai Tea, which is pretty concentrated and does not taste watered down. I was not a big fan of the Thai Roti Canai; it was just not as fluffy and light as I'd expected it to be, and I've had better elsewhere. I've also had the Khao Piak Sen (Lao Chicken Noodle Soup), which was not bad, but the chicken was dry. read more
Server was nice. This was my second time dining here. The first was with my family. This visit, my diet was a bit limited, and so were my personal choices. I decided to get something different and ordered the green curry, mild. It was still a bit spicy. The Thai roti with red curry dipping sauce was great. read more

Great service from staff and food is delicious! Staff was very helpful and attentive even with counter service. The interior is clean, modern, and welcoming. Loved the interior design aesthetics. I really enjoyed my Khao Poon (curry soup). It was seasoned well, everything was fresh, the flavors and textures were satisfyingly good. I did add additional spice to it, and it was perfect. I wasn't feeling well that day and the curry soup had me back to myself in no time. Really made my day read more

Met a friend for lunch and we finally tried Lao'd on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded and we took a table by the window. I liked the oversized chairs. Very comfy! The server greeted us immediately and advised to use the QR code on the table which connected you to the Toasttab ordering system. All transactions from ordering to paying are done on the site. Even though the server only brought us water and our food, he still came over to check on us. I ordered the pad Thai and it was some of the best I've had in Houston. The chicken breast wasn't dry, sliced thinly, and the tofu added texture. I can't eat bean sprouts so I was able to add a note to my order. I normally have leftovers but I finished my entire plate! They have lots of other items and drinks that I want to try next time. Can't wait! read more
