I was so lucky to FINALLY find a plumber with integrity. It took three tries! I went through 1 incompetent, lazy, greedy plumber and 1 merely lazy and greedy plumber before finding Jerry at Langley Home Plumbing. He restored my faith in old style tradesmen like my dad used to be. When I bought my house in October, I didn't need the heat right away, so I had no idea that it was going to quit on me. When the weather got cold, I turned up the thermostat and everything was fine for about ten days and then the heat just stopped working. I called a local company called Langley Plumbing and Heating. The owner, Rod, took one look and told me I needed a new furnace (for $8,449.00). And charged $159.00 to give us that information. He hadn't gotten within 3 feet of the unit before making this decision, so I decided to get a second opinion - someone who would at least take an honest look. The second plumber came and gave me a real surprise. I don't even have a furnace, its a boiler! The first guy, from Langley Plumbing and "HEATING" didn't even know the difference! The second plumber didn't get any closer the boiler than the first - before telling me that I needed a new one. It couldn't be fixed I went out and bought a second electric fireplace (for the bedroom) instead. After just buying the house, I wanted to wait until next year to invest another $8,499.00. Besides, I thought that spring was coming, so I wasn't too worried. Then it snowed again. By then, I had gotten to know our next door neighbour, so we asked him if he could recommend a plumber. He recommended Langley HOME Plumbing (there are several companies with Langley in their names, so WATCH OUT). His parents had owned their house for 40 years and had never used another outfit for plumbing, drain cleaning or their gas stove since they found Langley HOME Plumbing. Long story short, I called and Jerry came out the next day. He got right in there and started pulling the boiler apart to see what was wrong with it. It turns out all it needed was a part that was worn out and some new wiring for safety. Now it has been working perfectly for almost a month. I am so glad we found him or we would be $8,499.00 poorer. OUR WISH WAS GRANTED - we found a plumber who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty for less than $8,499.00. He charged us less than $180.00, including the part thingy. Now, if only I could find someone like Jerry - FRIENDLY, HARD WORKING, CARING and above all HONEST - for my car. read more

This company was amazing! I emailed them at 11:30 at night when my water heater quit thinking I would hear from them the next afternoon and hopefully come that night. The wife emailed right back saying they had my electric tank in stock and her husband, the plumber, could make me his second appointment of the morning- as soon as he cleared a clogged toilet in a restaurant. He showed up with the tank just before 8:00 am. It was installed in time to take a shower before work. Plumber was friendly and efficient and didn't talk down to me because I'm a woman, just like his wife promised. I definitely recommend this team to anyone, but women especially would appreciate their polite service. read more

Wow do I ever feel lucky for stumbling into this company when looking for someone to help with furnace duct repair. I found the few company's I researched before speaking with Gary had a lot of bad reviews but from the first phone call I knew I had picked someone competent and confident to do the job right! Our kitchen sink was clogged badly. We don't know anyone who could help so just relied on yelp. We contacted them at 10pm and much to our surprise they replied right away, was able to book an appointment the next day.
