Stayed away for a while but we decided to give it another try! It was much better! Service, food and all!

Burger was very under cooked, I asked for pink. Not bloody- This is the 4th time I go to a landrys-to get the "points settled. Even purchasing a NEW card!!! -I was again suppose to have $25 in points...Katy location said I had none I just bought the card 3 weeks ago and they ( Bob) supposedly "fixed" everything'. The goal of this Katy location was to get us in and out- they achieved it with success- since the waitress didn't seem to care why i didn't eat my burger or onion rings nor the center of the bloody bread-I didn't leave a tip. I took my left overs home-so I could recook everything. I really didn't have the patience of going through my "point" credits after spending time with Bob at the willowbrook location -2 to 3 times already-including at work and after hours. I just wanted to enjoy a night off-not having to work for Food-I thought I already paid for. done I have no direct messages-which can be seen- feel free to contact Bob at Willowbrook- we have spoken 3-4 times during the about 2-3 weeks ago. He will probably remember the issue- they kept having a difficult time-thus why i just bought another card for $25...and he called to say it was fixed. I'm sure he thought it was too. This is always a pleasant place to visit. There is never a wait and the wait staff is exceptional. Jackson my water was attentive and his suggestions were on point. I could not pass up the fresh raw oysters they were small , but tasty. I love the warm New Orleans French bread ; you can not get that just anywhere. Their decor is colorful too. Today I tried the baked red snapper topped with crab meat and a very good cream sauce. I upgraded the steamed veggies for dirty rice. That was the only disappointment. If I could leave a negative rating, I would. To start, we went on Valentine's day. My fiancé and I don't take Vday super seriously, and he wanted oysters, so we figured it was worth a try. We would have been better off just staying home and saving ourselves the money and time. This place is a joke. Our servers first day was Valentine's day. That's cruel to that poor boy, trying to learn when people have high expectations- and it's cruel to us, who wanted to have a special meal. The individual who served us, has no business working in front of house- even once he was fully trained. Not only were we there for at least an hour beyond what we should have been just waiting on him (he had 3 tables and messed something up at all 3), but he didn't do his job beyond quizzing me on my ID (which I get). He didn't take our order, he forgot my drink at the bar and another waitress had to bring it, he forgot to ask if we wanted dessert (it's Valentine's day- most people WILL indulge, a missed sale). I can't even blame the waiter because screw this place for putting him in that position. Needless to say, we weren't care for at all. Now to the food, that was even more of a joke than the service. The oysters were literally old and you could tell they had been shucked hours before. They were dry and the worst oysters we had ever had, don't put them on your menu if you're gonna screw it up. The only positive thing we ate, was the bread, and we asked for more and our waiter never got that to us either. I got the Surf and Turf, and my fiancé got the lobster tail. I should note, none of our food was even warm. It was all room temperature or cold. The plating of the food was bazaar, and my steak was literally inedible. I put it in a to go box and threw it away after. If you look at the picture, the butter wasn't even remotely melted on top = proof our food was cold. Our lobster wasn't prepared correctly, and at this point, we just wanted the check. This place needs help, or shut down. I would assume the escorts/services offered at the motels (super 8 and motel 6) are what's keeping it in business. The place was dirty and decorated weird. They didn't know if they wanted to be a nice restaurant, a sports bar, a folk hangout, or just an old person joint. We will never be going back here, as my fiancé got sick from his food. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Mcdonald's would have been a better option, to be entirely honest. It's been a while since I've eaten here. I used to eat here at least once or twice a month. Definitely need to start rotating Landry's back in. They've updated their Lunch menu. I consider this to be the Landry base concept. They have a 'new' $17 Lunchbox option -- where you choose a starter and entrée. The portion is huge! Enough for two people. Definitely had leftovers to take home. Since it was my day off, I also enjoyed a refreshing Peach Basil Sangria. The service was top-notch as always. read more

Awful. There is a reason it was completely empty at 6pm. We got half a dozen oysters and had to send them back they were terrible. The soups were just alright... we got the blackened snapper and blackened ettouffe... neither one of us ate even half of our meal. Our daughter liked her meal- it was kraft macncheese. A delightful place to enjoy some seafood. The service is cordial and accommodating of any circumstance. On Sunday afternoon around 11 AM, it was a bit empty, but steadily grew in size around 1 PM. FOOD: the gumbo was delightful and packed with good Cajun flavor (WOULD recommend)! The broiled seafood platter was filling, but a bit on the bland side at times, the bananas foster was nice, but a bit on the colder side. My wife and I went to Landry's Seafood Kitechen in Katy to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary since have had excellent dining experiences at other Landry's restaurants in the past, we had high expectations and we looking for a really nice, upscale dining experience, but we ended up being very, very disappointed. To start off, I ordered a Moscow Mule which had so much mint in it I couldn't drink it and had to send it back, then ordered a whiskey sour which was subpar at best. The I ordered a cup of shrimp and crab gumbo which has zero crab and only 5 shrimp. For $9.00 I expect more than 5 shrimp in my gumbo. I didn't complain about it and just ate it because I didn't want to be a pest. I ordered the seafood plater for my entre which was excellent. The catfish melted in my mouth and everything else tasted great. My wife ordered a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette and they brought out bottles of oil & vinegar which she said was sticky to the touch. She sent that back and asked for ranch dressing instead. She said the salad was very good. She ordered the pan seared Chilean sea bass which she said was excellent but unfortunately, the seasonal veggies were overcooked and mushy. The vegetable orzo was so sticky it was clumping together. Needless to say, she did not eat much of the sides because they were so bad. Been to Landry's many times at many different locations. This one is in Katy, Tx. and always has great service and great food. Another great location is in Kemah, Tx. Landry's is $$$ and up Love red fish and they always do it right! These dishes are approx $30 each but well worth it. Plenty of parking, tables and staff. A lot of options and if you love seafood they have pretty much everything. Everyone needs to join the Landry Select Club to earn point towards discounts and also the reservation option is actually via open table When you make a reservation it confirms via email and on iPhone adds to calendar. read more

Let's see where to start?? The host wasn't very welcoming but we just stopped as a last min/let's try this place out so we weren't really "dressed" compared to the rest that were in there. Our waiter was very on his own dealing with idk what behind the bar. He came to drop water that he never refilled and when I asked for a drink it took idk how long til he realized he never brought it. Then he said "Oh we're out of that..". Our food wasn't that special. I did get an appetizer that came with chips and those were stale AF! The host brought us some garlic bread that was harder than a rock. I think the person who was all over our table was a cook. He just kept looking at our table. Not sure if he needed something or was watching us try to eat the Rock ‍ "bread". 70th Birthday celebration for my twin aunt and uncle with a party of 15 today. Service was on point and food was amazing. Most everyone had the fried Shrimp but I had the pan seared red fish with lemon butter sauce, seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes. Oh so yummy! Party of 8 today for Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic!!! The traditional dishes were superb. The fried shrimp on the buffet were so tasty.

The service was great. Our server was very attentive to us. I ordered the crab cakes. There was nothing good about them. The top of the crab cakes were crispy but the inside was very mushy. The crab meat was either old or frozen. My husband told me to let the server know but I decided not to with the understanding that we would never go back to Landry's again. There are so many other wonderful seafood places to eat in Houston. In fact, by the time I got home, I had gotten a bad case of diarrhea and this was after eating 1/2 of one of the crab cakes. The few times we ate at Landry's it was in different states and we never had a problem with the food. I was looking forward to the meal but left disappointed. read more

Landry's member, reservations for Spouse bday. Arrived 20 minutes before. Bar staff very attentive & spot on. I should add, they were "Not Busy" for a Saturday. We were seated at table , after 10 minutes mgr walked by, we motioned for her, she apologized & took order for dinner. After we ordered several others were seated/ served b4 we were. This will be short and sweet. I'm giving Landry's 3/5 stars based on two and only two things. My awesome and attentive server (Emily) make sure you ask for her if you go. Second, the Lobster Bisque. If it wasn't for the lobster bisque and Emily, I would say don't ever come here. We had a bad experience with our main entree (the broiled seafood platter). Not sure who the chef was, but he lovessssssss his salt and seasoning a little too much. The shrimp was so seasoned that you forgot you were eating shrimp. The crab cake had shells in it and wasn't fully cooked, and the main fish wasn't fully cooked and over salted. But let's go back to the lobster bisque! O. M. G. it is very good and totally worth it. If we ever do come back, that will be all I get. I will say though; The manager was nice enough to take the platter off of our bill and Emily was nice enough to get us a slice of cake for our troubles. Overall, there is potential, but I would say to not come after 8:30pm because the staff in the back gives up when it comes to cooking quality seafood and the front staff has to make up for their shortcomings. Why is 0 not a choice? How does this place stay open? Maybe it's the motel traffic that keeps 'em in business, so who cares about quality. This has to be one of the worst meals I've ever had at a table serve restaurant in my life. Garlic bread so hard, you couldn't bite into it, but that wasn't the worst. Fish and chips were the joke of the night. 4 frozen fish fingers on a pile of onion strings, you can barely see the chips hiding underneath. Fish fingers were definitely frozen because it smelled fishy, and they used some cheap cut of fish that should not have been made into a fish and chips platter. If you're hankering for fish, go down the street for McD's fish sandwich and save yourself $20. read more

Went for the medium rare steak that was made to perfection. Just became my new steak restaurant. A beautiful Saturday afternoon called for an beautiful lunch. Landry's Seafood House in Katy Tx never disappoints. My husband started with the chicken/sausage gumbo. I ordered the fried seafood platter and he ordered the broiled seafood platter. Definitely plenty of food. Two can eat off of the fried platter. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted exceptional. A very good value for the price. Others charge so much more and give you much less. This is very clean environment. Service is always good. Waiter Zachary was very efficient. We have dined here several times over the years and it's always been excellent. Quality and freshness of the food and the service is always top notch. We left our server a 23% tip because it was well deserved. Yesterday I had the snow crab legs and my husband had the lobster tail. We had the lobster bites for an appetizer and lobster bisque soup. Dessert was chocolate cake and key lime pie. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were a little sad they ran out of the Chilean Sea Bass BUT we totally understand restaurants have to plan ahead with what is going to sell and how much so they're not throwing money in the trash. This place never fails to impress! The manager Derrick was taking orders, serving, and making everyone happy, along with doing his managing job. Randall, the kitchen manager, came out to answer a question my husband had. He was awesome. Hazel the bartender was very attentive and personable. We sat at the bar to eat. (Even met a new friend!) We split a wedge salad that was so good. My husband got redfish and I got the cedar plank cooked salmon which was delicious! All fresh veggies on the side. Fresh food and awesome service. Landry's count your days.. if I could give negative stars I would.. I had a taste for some hot crawfish. I pass this spot on a regular basis for work and I saw the sign 3 lbs for $25.. I ordered 6 lbs.. it came with corn and potatoes.. So here's the thing ... I got the crawfish home anticipated tasting some hot well seasoned crawfish... oh was I disappointed. The first taste and I was done. They taste like they were boiled in water! No seasoning whatsoever. This is a disgrace to every Louisianan ever! Leave it to the pros Landry's!! We joined Landry's while on the road at Lafayette, LA. Apparently that is the first Landry's. Today we went back to our local Landry's, apparently no.2 Landry's. It starting to show in Katy. It's no comparison to the one in Woodlands. It was a rainy day and the restaurant had a leak by the recessed lighting. They had a bucket under the drip. Why can't we have as nice an ambiance as that of Woodlands? Besides, Our favorite, shrimp embrochette, has been rarely available unless we called ahead. Today, we did and it was just so, so. Horrible food! Omg I'm so glad my app reminded me to do this review. The parking lot was packed so I was thinking they were as well. Nope about 3 tables full in there. This means my service should be tip top and the food should be as well cuz the chef ain't busy. Service. Young boy, handsome fellow. Very polite seemed like he was new. We ordered drinks which came fast, was bomb! The bartender was a pregnant chic and I told her they gonna miss her when she leaves! That's the only reason I would go there is for her drinks. Raspberry lemon drops is what we ordered. We got the seafood fondue that took a good little minute to come out. It looked like something took cream of mushroom and barely warmed it out of a can and threw it on top of the seafood. I sent it back and told him to cook it again. We both ordered and entree. I ordered the Melissa and he ordered this sampler platter of grilled seafood. His food came out first and the servicer tells me that they were out of my food and I needed to order something else. Shut up! So he gon eat while I wait for them to cook me something else, no thank you! We shared what he had. The only good on the plate was the shrimp. The zucchini was so mushy and old it was bland and horrible. The fish was dry and bland and the ponzu train on the top was not hittin! I will not go back there unless to sit at the bar for drinks before the end of December. I did get the recipe to the drinks she was mixing up for us. My family and I decided to dine here after another restaurant had an two hour wait. We called Landry's and they said the wait was 40 mins but five mins later when we arrived there was no wait at all...not sure what happened to the 40 mins. However we glad accepted our table. We were served by Derek. He did an amazing job serving us. He gave great recommendations. He did not try to up sale us since we already ordered a lot. He did offer us Landry's Rewards program not once but twice we declined. The food was great. We were happy we decided here instead of the other place. Thanks to Derek our first experience at Landry's was one to remember. My mom and myself ordered the Atlantic Salmon with the crescent city topping. My husband ordered lobster before I could look up it was gone so delicious. The kids pasta with fries with daughter really enjoyed having the best of both worlds. Second time here. I wanted to give them another chance. Maybe things would change. But they haven't. Same slow, inattentive service. Both times the food came out before the drinks arrived. Same thing happened to the guests next to me. Odd. Where is the manager? There are less than 20 people in the entire restaurant at 3 pm. They are not busy so why is the service so poor? I came to Landry's seafood Katy the first time. I thought I saw scallops dish on the internet somewhere. I was looking for that dish in the menu but couldn't find it. Later I learned that the dish was called Day boat Scallops. It was so delicious, but portion was smaller than I expected. This could be improved for a dish over $40, it must be more generous than what I saw. read more
