Absolutely amazing experience! From views to service to food, everything was a solid 10. For drinks, I tried the Mai Tai while my coworker got the Spicy Cucumber Margarita. The Mai Tai had a stronger Orange taste than expected but I liked it! For apps we got Calamari and Oysters for the table. While I don't eat Oysters everyone else on the table loved it. For my main, I had the Vegetarian Sautée. Hands down the best one I've ever had. It was sautéed in white wine which enhanced the herb and butter flavors. The And, of course we had to order the Baked Stuffed Lobster. Beautiful presentation and great taste, the baked portion had breadcrumbs. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it in my opinion! Last, star of the show for me was the Strawberry Shortcake. It was a deconstructed cake and the strawberry purée is made in house! Absolutely delicious!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was a wonderful evening! Hostess was on top of it both when we arrived and to wish us well out the door! Grace took excellent care of us at the table. We weren't in a hurry and wanted to take our time with each course and she timed everything perfectly. I can't say enough about how fresh and delicious all of our food was. Those crab cakes though...perfection! Loved the decor as well, so many interesting pieces truly moved me. I'm an antique dealer and I just couldn't stop scanning the room for more treasures. We don't get to the Cape often but we will definitely be back when we next do!

LANDFALL RESTAURANT 9 Luscombe Ave, Woods Hole, MA 02543 (508) 548-1758 Sunday September 28,2025 Reservation for 3 at 1:15 pm This was a fantastic experience for me and my two guests. The service was fantastic, the food was exqisite and the atmosphere was wonderful. I was up from the New Jersey Shore for my 60th high school reunion in Dedham Mass. My best friend ( who I have known for 74 of the 77 years of my life ) and his wife were with me and they were thrilled beyond words about the restaurant. Another plus - I saw the retired owner - Don Estes who was my former high school student 1972-1975 and I had not connected with him since he was 17, ( his daughter now is the third generation running the Landfall) ! What a wonderful day! If you are in the area the Landfall Restaurant is a must destination . You have not eaten great seafood until you have eaten there. Highly recommended! You can't surpass the view. The ferry to and from Martha's Vineyard can be watched while you eat your dinner. Make sure to make a reservation for this restaurant and wait a little bit longer to get a window. The sun set was spectacular. The food was great. The wait staff was even better. I had two New England beers. The second beer, I said to my waiter, was my last one. He never asked or tried to push another beer on me. The food came out hot. I had the grilled salmon and French fries. We also split a lava cake dessert. The entree was fine but the lava cake was awesome. I kinda wished I did not share the dessert. If you go to this restaurant, want seafood, and a bit upscale, you will not be disappointed.

We loved our trip to Landfall. The views from the restaurant are so beautiful, especially during sunset. The restaurant decor is so fun and beautiful. We were a large group and our waitress was very attentive. Our drinks were great as well. The appetizers were nothing out of the ordinary but all good! For dinner I had the lobster roll, it was cooked perfectly but there certainly could have been more meat. Others in our party got the seafood broil dish, stuffed lobster, and pasta. Everyone was pleased! Thank you!

My family and I love this restaurant. I bumped my review up to 5 stars for this year because the service was improved. We were given the proper utensils and water in the beginning of our meal which last year we were not. As per usual, the food is great. This year we tried the mozzarella sticks which were really good. Overall, I would definently recommend coming here.

We have gone to Landfall numerous times over the years, and I feel like it's gotten better. The ambiance is always great with the beautiful dining area. Our most recent visit was really good. We got oysters and calamari to start, both very fresh. I vividly remember their delicious seafood pasta from the last time we came several years ago, which was the first time I had swordfish. Of course I got it again and it was just as good as I remember! I'm not sure if my family members enjoyed their meal as much as I did, but imo this was a 5/5!

We came here for dinner for seven people and it was fantastic. We sat by the water and opened the door just a bit to let the breeze come in. My husband and I ordered the Californian, which consisted of fresh squeezed orange juice, grapefruit juice and vodka. It was amazing. For dinner, I got the kale salad with salmon, which was so good.

I've visited Landfall Restaurant a couple of times, but I haven't written about them...until now. The last time I visited Landfall Restaurant was during the autumn of 2021. I know, last year. I am trying to catch up! They have a beautiful outdoor seating with fire pit and all the right ambiance. But the interior is really interesting, I recommend you taking a peek inside, even if you are eating at the outdoor dining area. Landfall is a waterfront restaurant, so it comes with beautiful view of the water! We ordered Corman Old Fashioned, a very nice drink to relax and wind down. And Landfall Lemonade, a very refreshing drink, perfect on a sunny day! We ordered a couple of appetizer dishes, Onion Rings, which were disappointing...overdone, and dried up. Stuffed Quahog, on the other hand, was excellent. For main dish, We had Grilled Fresh Swordfish, nice and juicy, Lobster Pie Casserole, packed with lobster chunks, Broiled Seafood Platter, with a nice amount seafood, and Seafood Newburg over Linguine, delicious! We all enjoyed our food. Since the dinner was all so nice, we decided to ordered Homemade Apple Crisp and Kahlua Parfait to share. Perfect way to end a nice meal! We had a nice dinner there, everything we ordered, except for the Onion Rings, were great. The ambiance, food, drinks, and the service was pleasant.

Fire pit area can't be beat!!

Where do I begin? Their lobster bisque puts any other to shame - it is absolutely delicious & the lobster is tender and not over cooked! Our waitress was beyond attentive. The clam chowder was also very good. Their drinks are also fabulous - it's a must go to!

    Is there any parking?

There is on street but parking is strictly enforced 7 days a week until 6 I believe. They also have a lot around the corner they own that you can park at if its not full, but make sure you get the parking tag validated or you will pay.

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

No one else serves a spicy lobster roll like this, with tomatillo salsa and spicy mayonnaise mixed in with a generous serving of lobster meat on a butter toasted bun. Barking Claw's rolls are extremely affordable compared to most of the overpriced and forgettable lobster rolls you'll find elsewhere in the region, and, like an authentic cape lunch spot, they offer Cape Cod Potato Chips as an add-on. My family are diehard fans of Barking Claw, typically buying one of the first lobster rolls of the season and we're some of the last customers before the cold weather arrives. So we were delighted when Tom accepted our proposal to cater our rehearsal dinner in my parents' backyard in August. He set up in our driveway and he and his staff served our 50 guests all the spicy and regular lobster rolls they could handle, in addition to stuffed quahogs (a New England favorite) and a delicious selection of salads and side dishes we worked on together to come up with. He even found a way to include the previously retired salmon-bacon BLT sandwiches on the menu. Barking Claw has become a Cape Cod staple, so go see what all the hype is about!

We appreciated the creativity of the roll, you don't find a lot of places on the cape trying to be different. We were on the cape for the summer and wanted something different. This was the 6th lobster roll we tried during our summer. This is more like a stand that you would find at a festival. I knocked a star off for the setting. I've come across a lot of these food stands all over the US, and they try the make the best of their low budget location and try to make a cute outdoor seating experience. They have one picnic bench, and the some more seating at this random building right by with rusty chairs. Some folks like us traveled an hour from another place on the cape to try this roll, us Chatham. We aren't taking it home, and had to eat it there. Wasn't any effort made to have outdoor seating. No table settings, lights, streamers nothing. Just one park bench. The roll itself is good, not the best but good and creative. It isn't spicy at all, more like a ketchup mayo on top. The celery dressing, gave it a nice crunch. The lobster is pre-measured in saran wrap. I get that for controlling your cost, it's just a cheap look to watch. Just have a scale and measure there. We got the roll pretty quickly as there wasn't much of a line on a Saturday in July at 11:30. I appreciated the creativity. I think this place could be 5 star with some tweaks on the roll and the setting. I think they could even add some more unique rolls. I want to give it a 3, but I just can't with it being a small business. I think they are on to something that people want a unique approach to a lobster roll. Worth a try, but I wouldn't stress it at its current state.
