I was pleasantly surprised with my first time dining at the Lamplight Lounge. At first glance, I wasn't too impressed by the selections offered on the menu, but I was curious to try it out anyway. You truly can't beat the view of the beautiful California Adventure waterfront & boardwalk. It felt like having dinner with a show. Our service was just fine, our waitress wasn't too enthused but she was efficient which is always appreciated. The cocktails were fun, festive & refreshing! They were themed after certain Disney/Pixar references as well as correlation to the park itself which I thought was really fun. I ordered the Impossible Burger, it was absolutely delicious. The patty itself had a charred taste to it which you don't get often from plant based patties! The house sauce on the burgers was sweet & slightly spicy. The fries were perfectly seasoned & crunchy! The Charbroiled Cheddar burger was jam packed with toppings & sauce. A truly perfect bite paired with their delicious fries. The Lemon Rosemary Chicken was juicy & well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were buttery & delicious. Veggies were cooked to perfection. My family & I had the best experience visiting Lamplight Lounge & I highly recommend it not only for a unique dining experience but for some delicious food! It had been a while since we last ate here so I thought it would be a nice treat for my family of four to dine here. We were all somewhat disappointed for the prices we paid for the meals we ordered. My husband, son and daughter all ordered the Charbroiled Cheeseburger with Fries. Umm...$26 for a cheeseburger that was mediocre and fries that had a sweet and sticky coating on them was a bit much. There was also a spread on my husband's cheeseburger which he said was pretty spicy. Had he know that, he would've ordered it without the spread. I ordered the Lemon Rosemary Chicken and it was pretty tasty but a little difficult to eat especially with all three pieces having bones in it. It would've been better served as chicken breast. The whipped potatoes were good and so were the carrots, but the snap peas were not. They were oily and hard to eat. I ended up pulling out tough stringlike pieces and had to spit them out. The ambiance was nice overlooking the water, but we were seated in a bar like area instead of a table where we could all easily talk to one another. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

The food menu is significantly small but we asked our server Sebastian what the "chefs special" was and he said the AL PASTOR PORK CHOPS is " OUT OF THIS WORLD" so we had to try it ourselves ! Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk Dining is a place I've walked past so many times at Disneyland without realizing it was actually a restaurant. I've always been curious about it, and after seeing it on TikTok, my cousins and I finally decided to make a reservation and try it out. Everything went really smoothly. After checking in, we were seated in about 10 minutes and got an amazing view of the Ferris wheel and the Incredicoaster, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Our server was super nice and helpful. I asked if they could make one of the drinks as a mocktail, and he took the time to walk me through the options and help me choose something that would work well without alcohol. I ended up getting the Virgin Sea Monster Smash, and it was so good. It reminded me of a blueberry version of Mint to Be, which I personally liked way more since I'm not really a fan of watermelon flavors. I also tried the 2319, which tasted like a strawberry piña colada, and the flavor combination was really refreshing and well balanced. We were recommended the beer-battered fish tacos, and I'm so glad we listened because they were amazing. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired with corn tortillas, creamy avocado sauce, a bit of chipotle sauce for a slight kick, and fresh toppings like cabbage, pico de gallo, radishes, and micro cilantro. The squeeze of lime tied everything together and made each bite really fresh and flavorful. Since I already love fish tacos, this completely exceeded my expectations, and everyone at the table loved them. I'm really glad we finally tried this place after being curious about it for so long. A nice escape from the crowded California Adventure walkway! With a view on the water, you can enjoy a meal or sip on house crafted drink from the front row seats of the water show. I came during the food and wine festival at Disneyland and tried the featured pistachio donuts which are a must order for Dubai chocolate lovers. I have eaten a couple times at Lamplight. It's always such a great escape from the chaos of California Adventures. This time I got the onion blossom and it was fantastic!! The onion is so tender and very lightly breaded with some spicy aioli sauce drizzled on top. It was the perfect app to pair with a refreshing drink on a warmer spring day Our server was very attentive and we did not feel that we were waiting around long for our drinks or food. Water was always refilled and paid attention to. The lounge is very cozy and the patio area is open and airy. Things didn't go smoothly with miscommunication between front and back of house, but they at least took the dish off the bill... and the dish when prepared properly was actually really good. Let me start at the beginning... the table got potato skins as an appetizer. It was delicious and I'm wondering why this restaurant has 3.7 stars. There's comfortable seating with a great view. So far so good. For entrees, everything else on the menu looked too similar to meals we've had up to this point both at and around Disneyland so I decide to get the Thai Seafood Pasta. I've had some spice sensitivity lately due to health reasons, so I ask about the spice level and also if there's a way to make it not spicy. I point out that I understand a lot of preparations can't adjust spiciness at many places. The server told me it could be done. Great. The dish came and the seafood tasted great but the pasta tasted bland. Like plain noodles. I flag down the server to let her know that my pasta had no flavor, and I thought I was asking for less spice, not no sauce. She said she understood and that wasn't what she had conveyed to the back of house. She went to the kitchen then came back with a bowl of sauce and my original plate, and said that the kitchen suggested that I pour the sauce over the noodles to accommodate my spice levels. I said OK. I spooned the sauce over the noodles. It wasn't great but it had flavor. Someone else in our group hadn't gotten their order of the same dish (no spice adjustments) yet; then later, theirs came and I noticed it looked different from sauce. I tried it and it was delicious, and within my spice tolerance. I could taste coconut milk in the sauce. Made sense, it's a Thai curry. I flag the server down again and pointed all this out. She went back to the kitchen again. She came back out and said yes, the bowl of sauce they gave me had no coconut milk because they didn't cook it. At this point, we had a time to catch the Incredicoaster, the rest of my group was done, and I was over it. I asked if they could take it off our bill so we could move on with our lives. They did. Between that whole thing, and bumpy service upon arrival (took forever to get waters, then drinks, then just plates for our appetizers), I see why this place didn't rank higher even though the food was good. Generally speaking, I'm more and more impressed with dining options at California Adventure. They seem to be chef-driven with seasonal menus...very California authentic. We'd already had dinner and just wanted to try the Chocolate Pistachio Donuts at Lamplight. The wait wasn't great...we checked in on the app and were given a 15 minute estimate. In reality we weren't called in for 45 minutes. We expect to wait at any Disney experience...it's part of the deal...but if they tell you 15 and then it turns into 45...something isn't quite right in Anaheim. Once we were in, we realized there were bar seats which we could have taken without waiting. it would have been amazing, especially since we had told the hosts we were just there for donuts, if they had informed us of this option. It looks like there's a well stocked full bar which is cool. If we were eating a full menu I was happy to see a handful of vegetarian options (including an Impossible Burger). We had come for the Chocolate Pistachio donuts and that's all we ordered. They were certainly gorgeous. We are always appreciative of a dessert that isn't sickly sweet to allow flavors to balance...but these tasted like an almost complete lack of sweetness...the pistachio came through a lot. The texture of the yeast donuts wasn't as light as we'd wanted, and overall we were disappointed. They do list a "seasonal donut" option on their menu...and as suckers for donuts, that enough, especially knowing we could likely just grab seats at the bar might have us give it another chance. read more

Its been awhile since we have checked out this spot! Make sure to get a reservation, although there was walk up available at around 12 pm on a Tuesday. Service was a bit slow up front, but nothing concerning. We were impressed by the spice in the aguachile, and all the toppings added balance- the creamy avocado and mayo, the fresh herbs and pickled red onion. The pork was comforting and perfectly cooked- loved the rich and cheesy polenta, along with the bright pop of pineapple. Fries were solid as usual, we got them on the side. The one downside was the seafood pasta was a bit oversalted with some pieces of seafood being overcooked. I did appreciate the idea of a thai fusion pasta with coconut, lemongrass and thai basil. One of my favorite places to eat inside Disney California Adventure. I definitely feel the food is much more elevated and they offer better food options inside this park over Disneyland. We made a reservation through the Disneyland app and sat at the bar on. Sunday evening. It's a full bar so they can make you any drink. We ordered for dinner: - aguachile verde: wow this was so good. Fresh himachi fish, with salsa macha that had a good kick, I love spice. Lots of lime and great flavors. It's served with 3 tostadas, but wish it was served with 4. So delicious - burger with cheese: cooked to my liking. It was so juicy with house made pickles. Lots of lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. So good. Its served with shoestring fries that were perfectly fried and crispy and delicious seasoning. Definitely recommend coming to eat and have a drink. It's located on Pixar Pier right across the way from the picturesque Mickey wheel making it a good place to watch fireworks and shows at night time. There is the bar area on the top floor and the more formal dining area below. You put your name on the waitlist on the Disneyland app or with the host and wait for a text message when your table is ready. We ordered the lobster nachos ($27) and the beer battered fish tacos ($22). The nachos were good, had big portions, and had a hint of spice. The fish tacos had a light batter, were easy to bite through, and were really good. For drinks the tennessee passion ($17.50) was gingery, whiskey-forward, and refreshing like a Moscow mule. The sea monster smash ($18) was fruity from the blackberry, easy to drink, and also refreshing. The seasonal lunar cocktail ($17.25) was artificially sweet from some sort of syrup and I wasn't a big fan. The lobster nachos are the most popular dish here and we saw pretty much every table ordering it. They have a large cocktail selection and even have a happy hour here, making it an extra adult-friendly place that you don't see at most other places at the Disney parks. The seating is outside and upstairs, compared to the actual restaurant. It has a pretty view of the Pixar Pier! If you go at night, make sure to bring a jacket as it can get chilly. The Lobster Nachos are SO good! The chipotle aioli has so much flavor and there is a good portion of lobster included. They definitely live up to the hype and are a must get if you find yourself having time to spare on your DCA trip! The service is normally very kind, and once they were able to give me the full set of coasters for my collection. Each coaster showcases different sketches from the Pixar movies. Dined at Lamplight Lounge (bottom floor, NOT the top floor Boardwalk) for dinner during a park visit on 10/2/2025 and had a mostly positive experience overall. For drinks, we got the Mint to Be and the 2319. Both were refreshing and tasted great, though they leaned more like elevated slushees. For bites, we ordered the potato skins and crispy brussel sprouts. The potato skins were a standout. As someone who loves anything potato, these really hit the spot. The brussel sprouts were also well done with great texture and not overly vinegary. For bigger bites, we had the Thai seafood pasta and the prime rib steak. The pasta was really enjoyable, a little bit of heat with a nice hint of coconut, and the mussels were fresh. The prime rib was the only real miss. I ordered it medium rare but it came out well-done and pretty tough, and the mashed potatoes on the side were just okay. Service was amazing and really above and beyond, as expected from Disney cast members. And the view is phenomenal, which is what this place is known for. As of 3/3/2026, it looks like they no longer offer the crispy brussel sprouts and prime rib, which honestly makes sense for the latter. Also worth noting that the portions here are massive, I'd honestly treat the appetizers as full entrees. Made reservations for Lamplight Lounge a few weeks ahead of our Disney trip for a 4:30 reservation, but from the looks of it, if you go on a weekday you should be able to join the waitlist pretty easily. We checked in 20 minutes ahead of our reservation and we were seated 15 minutes early, which was really nice! It was just my boyfriend and I, and we got seated along the water facing the Wheel and Incredicoaster, and the weather was awesome! For our appetizer, we got the Onion Blossom, and it was delicious! I'm one to like my food piping hot, so I might just be a bit nit picky when saying I would've preferred if they were a little warmer. I appreciated that it came with both a lime and lemon wedge as a lime enjoyer. The sauce they drizzle on top was delicious, but I'd recommend asking for an extra side as it's not nearly as well distributed as I'd like. The onion pieces don't pull apart easily and you have to go in with a knife and cut it, but as an onion lover this was delicious! For our main, we got the Chef Special and asked for the beef to be cooked to Medium. I'd say it was cooked more medium well, but it was still pretty good! The marinade on the steak was really good, and the veggies really helped brighten up the whole dish. The noodles were also pretty good and were a great compliment to the steak. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful! They made great recommendations and were extremely friendly. Lamplight Lounge is always a must stop for me, and after not having a great experience during their brunch service my last visit, I'm glad I had a better time with their new menu, especially the Lunar New Year adds! read more

I hadn't been to Lamplight Lounge in a while, so I grabbed a reservation as soon as I saw one available. They do accept walk-ins, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you can. When you check in with a front desk, you walk down a flight of stairs to the restaurant to be seated. They have some nice outdoor seating, overlooks the pier. It's beautiful sight at night! They offer a solid cocktail menu, and the entrée selection tends to rotate depending on the season or special promotions. We happened to visit during the Lunar New Year festival, so there were a few limited-time menu items, which was a nice touch. Our server was attentive, but was noticeably busy with all of her tables. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite meet my expectations. My chicken dish came out uneven in temperature--room temp on the outside but still a bit cold inside--which was disappointing. My son ordered noodles that ended up being too spicy for him to enjoy, and he couldn't finish them. While the spice level may have been noted on the menu, it would have been helpful if the server had given us a quick heads-up. That said, this may have just been an off experience. This was my second time visiting Lamplight Lounge in DCA. I had the lobster nachos the last time and I've been looking forward to getting them again. This time we grabbed the lobster nachos and the barbacoa nachos and I actually liked the barbacoa nachos better (gasp). Both were delicious. We sat outside and had a great view of incredicoaster. Incredicoaster happened to be getting evacuated during our meal, so that added a little bit of excitement. The server was very nice but I don't feel that he checked in often. That was fine though because we didn't really need much. He offered to give us to-go cups for our sodas, which was a first for us and definitely a plus. It's DCA, so the prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected. I will definitely returning to Lamplight Lounge on my next trip to Disneyland. I don't feel that it was a 5 star experience, but I really don't have any major complaints either. There is a huge difference between the upstairs lounge and the downstairs bar. The bar wins on service and ambiance every time. While the upstairs is the only place to grab the lobster nachos, the burger at the bar is superior to any burger in the parks. Top Tip: Look up the secret menu online before you arrive. We checked in about 20 minutes before our reservation but weren't called until 5:00pm which felt like a long wait even with a reservation. We were seated inside and given a comfortable chair for my daughter so she could easily reach the table. It was crowded and busy, but the server came over right away with menus and to take our drink order. Once we placed our dinner order, the wait for food was long. We didn't start eating until close to 5:45pm and by then I was starving. We ordered: Little Gem Salmon Salad - delicious with a light dressing, tangy pickled onions and cheese that paired really well with the salmon. Charbroiled Cheddar Burger & Fries with a Purple Ube Lager and soda - my husband's combo. The burger was tasty and filling and the lager was decent. Budding Artist Pasta with fruit and yogurt - my daughter enjoyed it and declared Disneyland strawberries are the best. Finally got a reservation at the Lamplight Lounge and came in for an early dinner! Got seated at the bar area, which was nice to watch the drinks get made and to catch glimpses of the view into Pixar Pier while eating. It was crazy busy even on a weekday, but the servers were plentiful and attentive and checked up on us during the meal. Tried the Over Budget but it was more tart than expected, and I didn't really taste the passion fruit in the drink, more so reminded me of a Moscow mule! We tried the Thai Seafood Pasta which was yummy, slightly spicy which surprised me, and good amount of seafood but wish the portion was a bit bigger! Also tried the Brussels Caesar which was okay, wish the Brussels were cooked and roasted a bit longer for a more charred/crispy exterior and it became a bit too creamy after the first few bits. One place that DCA has Disneyland best is in the dinning. Lamplight lounge is a quality restaurant that offer some of the best food at the Disneyland resort. This place is reservations recommended. I went for lunch, but I wish I would have done dinner so I can see all the amusement park lights lake side. The majority of the restaurants is outside patio dinning with mainly the bar and a couple of seats inside. I got the burger which was pretty good and quality ingredients it was cooked good for a medium portion. The only thing simi lacking was the sauce 4 ****. I got a non alcoholic drink which was great. Wonderful atmosphere and pretty affordable prices. I did like the the kids meal was just as much as you would pay for quick serve. Lamplight Lounge is a solid dining spot in DCA. Worth making a reservation for! Their lobster nachos are the best. It's pricey but easily shareable between 2-3 people. At Lamplight Lounge, the barbacoa nachos are a savory finger food that really stands out. They give you a lot of meat, and it's cooked very well, making each bite flavorful and satisfying. The Michelada was a bit intense at first, but it's made with real mix, which gives it an authentic taste. The lime on top adds a nice fresh touch and makes it a great drink for Michelada lovers. It was one of the best I've had, especially since it's made with a beer from a local brewery. The workers were very polite and respectful, and they made sure we were taken care of during the visit. Got to try Lamplight again and snag a reservation a few days before. I had no idea they switch up the menus and don't have the same food offerings between the lounge and boardwalk dining. I was so sad about not being able to get the lobster nachos. In the lounge it does have a great view over the water and the Ferris wheel though. For drinks we tried the over budget, Colava (secret menu item) and goofy island (non alcoholic); also ordered some dole whip shots (also secret menu). Highly recommend the dole whip shots. For food we got the charbroiled cheeseburgers, potato skins, and Thai sea food pasta. Pasta was very refreshing and had great flavor- I would definitely order again. Too stuffed for dessert but overall a great meal and always a must try when visiting California adventure! read more

Gosh I hate that they only served the seafood nachos on the boardwalk dining side. So this part is the review for the BOARDWALK DINING side At least they didn't get rid of it completely. The location is actually pretty nice. We were able to see Pixar pier and the lagoon nicely. They close at 8? so no watching WOC from here I don't think. The seafood nachos is amazing 5/5 Barbacoa nachos 3.5/5 not enough flavor just cheese and beef Cauliflower appetizer 4/5 (cucumber 2/5 again not enough flavor). I think my family has tried all the non alcoholic drinks and everyone give theirs 4/5 Now for the review of the Regular Lamplight lounge restaurant. We had Cheeseburger 3.5/5 - the bun just fell apart I'm not sure that is a good thing. Flavor of the meat is great. Impossible burger 3/5 - we are just not a big fan of impossible burger texture I guess. Fries 4/5 Samoa donut 2/5 - it was hard to chew and the flavor was just not great. I can taste "Samoa cookies" but doesn't taste as good. Drinks same as boardwalk dining side. read more

Came here for snacks and drinks and I was happy with my snack picks. We got the onion bloom, pork belly bao bun, and aguachile verde. I loved both the pork belly bao bun and aguachile verde because they were both perfectly flavored. As for the onion bloom, it was fried well but I wish there was more sauce or at least some dipping sauce on the side. I think the only thing that I was disappointed on was the drinks, the over budget and water district gimlet were both overly sweet. As for service, everyone from the front door to the servers were super nice and friendly. They have a nice view of the boardwalk, which is also a plus. read more

Perfect place for a great meal in the middle of California Adventure that also provides a getaway from the crowds. I've always wanted to try Lamplight and we were able to snag a last minute lunch reservation. Reservations are an absolute must here. The restaurant stretches out over the water with wonderful views of the park all around. We loved the appetizers! Specifically, the potato skins and bao buns. They also have a pretty solid drink menu and you can take drinks to go with you when you leave into the park. This is a wonderful way to take a break from the busy park and enjoy a nice meal and drink. Service was excellent. Loved it and absolutely recommend if you're spending the day at California Adventure. read more

Another Disney dining review! We tried the Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining and the actual restaurant and found the restaurant to be highly superior. Boardwalk dining is kind of a scam. We ended up sat right next to the dish return at the bar and it was noisy and kind of gross. We also weren't facing the actual boardwalk so the view was just of the area behind of bar lol service was also a little slow. It was hard to tell who our server was and to get their attention. We also could only order from a limited menu, which thankfully did include the lobster nachos we had heard folks rave about but...they weren't that good? They were kind of cold. My drink was delicious but everything else fell a little flat. Cut to a few weeks later we made reservation at the actual restaurant and it was a complete 180. We got the best seat in the house! A view on the downstairs patio directly across from Pixar Pal-a-round. We both ordered from a more extensive restaurant menu, my husband even got the prime rib which was delicious! I got the Brussels Caesar with chicken and was impressed by the amount of chicken and the flavor, it had a really nice char on it. Our server was excellent too. Overall, if you're coming to Lamplight, skip the Boardwalk and go for the full restaurant experience! read more

This is one of those places that we always try to come to. With the full bar and a great patio, it's always a great break from the busyness of the day at California adventure. As always we had great drinks and great meals, but being sat on the patio at night in December is a little iffy. For some reason they have only four heaters and they're all over very specific areas and can't be swiveled. We were freezing! Although not on the menu, they do have a full bar, so my husband ordered an Irish coffee. It was hot and delicious and quite strong. I had had a little tummy trouble earlier so I stuck with a non-alcoholic beverage which was quite delicious. I have no idea what cocktail my son had but he did say that he thought it was really good. I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and the best carrots I've ever had. Now I'm not a huge fan of carrots but I can take them or leave it. But these heirloom carrots or somehow chard and they were absolutely delicious. Have you have the cheeseburger and it was really good. Fries were good too. My son had a Brussels salad, which I wasn't too sure about when I read the description. It talked about having a tomato sauce which doesn't quite drive with salad for me, but it ended up being really really good. Aside from eating and freezing at the same time, it was a good experience. Would you like the food here and would you like to drink here. It will always be a place we come to to take a break have a cocktail and watch the world go by. read more
