We had Doug do our inspection and has trust in him as he was recommended by our realtor. We were not able to be present since we were moving cross country and we were buying a home unseen (in person). He found some issues that did end up getting fixed by the seller but the huge one that got missed was mold under the stairs. Greenish fussy mold. We are now having to replace the drywall under the stairs and a few other areas since that under the stairs in also open and connected to the laundry room. read more

We had the pleasure of having CJ Cooper do our home inspection on Rumford Rd, he has absolutely set the standards for what we expect from a home inspector. This man went way above and beyond and turned a stressful process into a long term impact on our lives, as we will never look at houses the same again. We ended up voiding our contract on that house however I will never use any other inspector ever again! If you're reading this, I'd definitely recommend to ask for CJ! read more

My partner and I are first-time homebuyers and ever since our offer was accepted, everything has been moving at lightening speed. Since we have never bought a home before, there were so many unknowns and tasks that had to happen, and not a lot of time to thoroughly choose all of the companies to use, etc. Our realtor suggested Lambert Home Inspections because he has used them many times for his clients. It was a great decision! Our offer was accepted on a Tuesday and our realtor ordered an inspection through them for the upcoming Saturday. They arrived at the house earlier than us and finished reviewing the outside before we arrived. They were inside when we arrived and immediately told us what the inspection day would look like -- where they were going to inspect and what they were doing step-by-step. They showed us the mechanicals and explained everything to us in depth, which was extremely helpful given our lack of knowledge on home owning since we have been renting for several years. They then went over their detailed report, showing us any issues and assuring us what was normal and easy to fix. We were able to ask questions and get thorough responses and recommendations. They even told us what were able to fix ourselves inexpensively instead of spending a lot of money for someone else to come out. Finally, they provided us with the included package with warranties at no extra cost, and other services offered to make the moving process easier. We received the final report within about an hour and were able to review everything in depth once more and could email or call with any additional questions. As first-time homebuyers with so many unknowns, questions, and anxiety, Lambert Home Inspections put us at ease and they were well worth what we paid. Buying a home is a huge investment and the team you work with makes the difference. We are very excited to move into our first home and will keep Lambert Home Inspections as a recommendation for all of our home-buying friends. We cannot thank them enough! read more

CJ was our inspector. He was beyond professional and very helpful. Not only that but instead of the 2 hours and 45 minutes it was supposed to take, it only took an hour and 15 minutes. Amazing work, and will be using you in the future CJ! read more

Fast and efficient inspections. They treat you like a close friend and are more than willing to answer any questions or explain things deeper for you. They don't try to sell you anything additional, no services or repairs, if it's simple things you can handle on the weekend they will tell you. read more

My realtor recommended Lambert Home Inspections for our recent home purchase. The experience went extremely well. The process consisted of a team of three inspectors, all of whom were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The last time we bought a house (some 10 years ago), the inspection consisted of only one inspector who completed all documentation by hand, which needless to say was slow and time-consuming. For this inspection, Lambert did everything electronically. They conducted a thorough search and noted everything they found in the house, then provided an electronic report of their findings which included photos and a written explanation of each item of concern for later reference. And because the inspection consisted of a team of multiple individuals, the process moved quickly and efficiently. My wife and I intend to sell our old home in the next few months, and we will likely use Lambert Home Inspectors for a pre-listing inspection. read more

Tiffani and CJ gave us a very thorough home inspection and walked us through everything they saw as they inspected the house. Although they explained all of their input in very plain language, it was very clear that they are absolute experts. I feel empowered with how to address minor maintenance issues (I never would have thought of) in my new home and confident they captured the totality of issues in their overall report. Thank you for being so patient, informative, thorough, and kind! read more

I found this company by looking at show had the most positive reviews. Sometimes it is not an accurate method, but this time, it worked out and you can see why their reviews are so good. A 2-man team came to our home, inspected everything --I mean everything--and took the time to walk us through what we needed to be aware of. They walked us through electrical, plumbing, gas, etc. and we did not have to ask--it is part of their standard process. Within an hour of them leaving the house. We got a custom PDF report with plenty of pictures and explanation so we can easily reference later. I would recommend to anyone in the NoVa area. read more

Very informative and helpful. They did our home inspection and they were very comprehensive and responsive.

My realtor recommended Lambert Home Inspections for our new house and we couldn't be happier. Randy and his team came by early and walked around the premises before I was at the home and already did all the inspections on the exterior including the roof. After my realtor showed up, we inspected inside and Randy showed us potential issues, reasons they are problems, and professionals that could resolve them. He also showed us how to winterize our house, how to change our filter, and the main shutoff valve. After the entire inspection was done, his team walked us through each issues, with pictures, and answered all our questions/concerns. He even had warranties that came free of charge in case there was things inspected that if not in the state they were when inspected would be covered for full replacement. I am very pleased with his friendliness, professionalism, and their thoroughness. I would definitely use and recommend them in the future. Also the report was ready and delivered to me by text and email within 30 minutes of their visit. read more

This was my first time with the home inspection process so I didn't really know what to expect. They really broke it down about what they do, what's required, and gave us a real in-depth explanation about what they found. There is a lot of follow up and they definitely make themselves available to answer questions after the fact. I'd definitely recommend them. read more

From the excellent referrals and personal word of mouth, Lambert Home Inspections (LHI) was our go to company to assist in our first big home purchase. Not only are the personal and online reviews from LHI accurate, they far exceeded our expectations. We were impressed by the overall thoroughness, expertise, and quality of the inspection. Areas where LHI went above and beyond were the technology, tool, and guarantee in their service. LHI has the right tools for the job - the additional tools and technology used gave us a live detailed and visual representation of results. This allowed us to understand some of the issues, so we could make a well-informed decision. After an outstanding experience in inspection, LHI guarantee's their work and provides warranties and additional services to ease our minds and assist in our move. Lastly, not only are the people at LHI experts in their field, but also warm, friendly, and easy to work with. They can provide reports (30 minutes after review) and lab work within 24 hours!! We are so grateful and happy that we chose Lambert Home Inspections for this big milestone! read more

Randy and his team came out and did a excellent job. They were polite, and thorough. They are the best home inspection company around!

From the moment we booked the home inspection to receiving the final report, Lambert Home Inspections was fantastic to work with and deserving of their perfect rating. Purchasing a home, especially in NoVA, is such a significant financial commitment that you want to go into it fully aware of any current or potential issues with a property. You'd be challenged to find a team more knowledgeable and thorough to evaluate a potential purchase. read more

Five stars in all ways possible. As others noted, the experience shined with professionality from the get-go, with automated reminders and up-front information on using a variety of payment methods, and a collected and professional demeanor when we met up for the inspection. This is my first home purchase, so I didn't know what to expect, but I came away feeling well informed and confident with the information. I'm a technology enthusiast and loved all the tech that he, and his equally professional colleague, Juan, used to analyze everything there is to know about the house and generate a slick report. The report arrived in under an hour and was easy to understand. The service also included several 90-day, zero-deductible warranties and free registration with a service that reports on appliance recalls. My real estate agent also seemed pleased with their business coordinator, Shante, who also provided me with the results of our radon test in an equally timely manner. The bottom line is that Randy and his team seem to understand all of the concerns that a home buyer might have and has the answers ready before you even have the questions. Thank you, Randy, Juan and Shante! read more
