We figured out that our county's website has a record of all of the permitted work done in the county in the last 3.5 months, and you can sort by project. It also lists the sq footage of the project and the cost. We could see that Kefficient had done the most permitted projects in our county and they had a fair and competitive price compared to other companies who got their work permitted. We ended up deciding to work with Kefficient. What a world of difference! They quickly got a permit and did the work and had it inspected and it looks great. The crew worked incredibly hard during one of the hottest weeks of the year--in a hot basement, wearing full protective suits and respirators--and were always thorough, respectful and genuinely kind. An independent air quality inspector who came to test our home even pulled me aside after seeing their work and told me he had seen a lot of mold remediation over the years, that this team knew what they were doing, and that I should feel confident in the work being done. And they went far beyond the remediation itself--helping me secure a trailer for belongings I wasn't ready to deal with and repeatedly helping move things around the house as the work progressed.
