I had to get a lot of my trim around the house replaced due to rotting wood. Got a handful of quotes from different vendors but felt most comfortable with Image Painting. Pros: - Andrew (the owner) came out as scheduled as walked me through what needed to be done. - Quote was received the same day. - Andrew and Amy were very responsive to my emails. - Jesus and his brother came out and did a great job fixing the trim and painting. Cons: - Pricing was above mid range amongst all the quotes but definitely not on the high end. - Adam (the PM) wasn't responsive to emails. Ultimately ended up talking directly with Andrew. Overall I'm very satisfied with the work though my wallet took a hit. . I'd definitely recommend using Image Painting if you're looking. Would've given a 4.5 review (if half stars were allowed)....but since they aren't, they get 5 stars because the work was definitely better than 4 stars. read more

I wish I didn't have to give a star rating because unfortunately these two stars aren't due to poor service, but GROSS OVERPRICING. I scheduled an appointment with Image Painting through Yelp and Andrew McBride was sent out to view my 2bd/2bath, 1,875 square foot condo on Tuesday April 5th to provide a quote for all white paint throughout my home. His estimate totaled $7,403.72!! This price is MORE than twice the price I received from 3 other companies!! The lowest estimate came in at $2000, the mid was $2,800, and the highest $4,240. I'm not sure why Andrew decided to grossly overcharge me the way he did; whether it's because I'm a woman, minority, or because he thought this project was being paid through an insurance claim, either way, it's DISGUSTING and I wouldn't recommend!! -Why I'm updating this to one star: Andrew you and I both know you weren't on time. I have proof via the time stamp when you called to say you were at the door. All of the other companies we choose also have insurance and proper setup and clean up procedures, all of the other companies also quoted a 3-4day project schedule so you weren't offering anything extraordinary that the other companies weren't. You have no viable explanation for why your quote was so much higher than 3 other reputable companies. Do better. Smh... read more

Team Grevy's group finished the exterior painting today and I'm very satisfied. They come in on time every day at 0800 and paint for almost 8 hours except for lunch. Booked an appointment with Andrew, confirmed several times for painting my loft and stairs. It is a good size area. The whole time he seemed he was in a rush. At the end of our meeting, he asked when I wanted the work done and I said now. He quickly left, chatted a bit about the exterior paint job on my house and was told he would check his calendar for a date and I would have a estimate in the afternoon. This is an email from Andrew: "Nice meeting you this morning, sorry we will not be able to get to your project in the time frame you need it done." I asked where is the quote and what is [his] availability? His response, " We won't be able to do it in the time you need it done." I asked, when? He said, 10 week out for interior I said I need an estimate. Never heard from him again. I left a voice mail with the company, and no one responded. If this is how they treat customers, I can only imagine what type of work they do. I would stay clear of this company. Outstanding experience with Image Painting. Very professional, skilled, meticulous, friendly and flexible. Andrew came to our home to give us an estimate the day after we spoke. Either he or Adam stopped by daily to check progress and see if we had any questions or concerns. Celvin was on the site supervisor - he and the rest of the crew worked diligently to complete our two rooms with very high ceilings and skylights. They meticulously put plastic and tape up which also protected the rest of the house when spackling and sanding and cleaned up every night. We also had 30 year old solid but now dinging cabinets painted - they look like new! Reasonably priced, easy to work with - excellent finished work. We can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Image Painting was one of four companies I got quotes from based on reviews via Next Door cross referenced with Yelp. Andrew came by to give me a quote for painting my door and window/door trim, and he was on time, polite, and quick. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and he was honest about the amount of work it would take and the variables that might change cost (damage, rot, replacement, repair etc.) I felt like he'd be honest with everything that came up. His price was one of the lowest but not *the* lowest, which I think is a good thing. Once booked his crew arrived when he said they would, and they were all smart, polite guys who took care of my house. They were especially great because I have a difficult dog and they were willing to work around her reactivity and tendency to run out of the door. They were very patient even though they needed to keep the door open for prep and paint. When they sanded the door and my dog lost her mind and scratched up the inside, they fixed it, which I absolutely wasn't expecting. The quality of the work was really high and I feel like they consulted me with any questions they had, which sometimes doesn't happen, meaning you come home to a surprise. These guys are great! We found their contact info in Fairfax County's preferred contractor listing. Andrew Mc Bride, the owner, met with us and we discussed the areas to be painted. He was most helpful in pointing out things that we had missed. His site foreman, Omar, was consistently responsive to our requests and questions. Isolina Breen, their Interior Decorating consultant, provided advice, paint sample boards, and paint documentation for the painters. Their work was professional and very well done. Daily activities usually began around 7AM and ended around 3PM. Any issues identified during the daily walkthrough were quickly corrected that day. This job covered six rooms and included wall paper removal in the master bath. We are very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Andrew's team. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Image Painting. I would call them again in a heartbeat for another exterior job or for indoor work. Things were seamless from beginning to end. I appreciated the extremely detailed contract, which always helps to minimize any confusion later during the work about expectations. We actually went through several rounds of getting the contract just right prior to me signing it, as the level of detail Image originally included prompted me to realize a couple other things that I wanted to include in the job but hadn't originally thought of. As we got closer to the start of work, Andrew reached out regularly with updates on likely start date compared to the original projection, given that weather always has impacts on schedule. And once the work started, it was all just incredibly smooth. The team, Jesus and Guillermo, was amazing - smart, thoughtful, incredibly professional. It was a real joy to have both of them with us for the period of the work! They were patient at the beginning as we sorted out the final colors and sheen levels. They also completed a few agreed window-related woodwork repairs. They communicated regularly about schedule throughout the job - ie slightly earlier start due to extreme heat, day skips due to rain, both to keep me updated and make note of when I should keep back gates and doors locked vs. unlocked. The work area was incredibly precise and tidy the entire time, both during the day and after they left each day. And the final result looks just great - we are so happy with their work. I've had a dreadful experience with Image Painting this time, which is strange since they did such an excellent job on some exterior painting and painting a room in my house 2-3 years ago. They have been almost completely unresponsive. While they promptly came to my house for an estimate, there were zero responses for 2-3 weeks at a time, and at best they only replied to e-mail once a week. I've been trying to arrange their services since early April and after the third lack of response I finally gave up and did the work myself. These guys fixed all the ceilings in my house better than new. They came back and made sure everything was done perfectly. I had 12 pot lights put in my townhouse and found out the builders who built this townhouse used hammers to put in the holes for the light fixtures. They made huge crooked holes as well as all the other holes the electricians put in. Image Painters made my ceilings look better than new. Plus they left my house cleaner than when they first came. Image Painting did wonderful work on my 2 bathrooms and my bedroom. I live in an older house, and the marks, holes, and drywall was so bad,, but Image Painting made the walls look BEAUTIFUL!!! They also installed new trim around my windows and tile flooring, it was cut perfectly, and added so much "newness" to the rooms, along with the fresh paint everywhere. They asked if I liked the work performed, and I told them I was so pleased and would recommend to everyone. They were very prompt and finished quickly, as we have a small house with kids and there was not much room to work/move around/etc. I would highly suggest calling these guys, they are great!!
