I wanted to write a review of the great work that Hugo and…read more Noel did refinishing our living room, kitchen ceiling and three doorways in November. In the living room, Hugo and Noel replaced our dated wood paneling with drywall, refinished one entry way, the baseboards, shoe molding and the room's bay window trim and sill. In the living room, the drywall work was made more challenging as they had to fit it up against the ceiling beams and a fireplace mantle. In the kitchen, they refinished the ceiling and re-framed two doorways, that had dated louvered doors, into beautiful entryways. All work was meticulous, with perfect fit and finish. One example of the attention to detail and craftsmanship was the bay window sill replacement. Hugo took stock sill molding that was wider than the original molding and cut it to size. The result was a sill replacement looked exactly like the original. He even hand sanded the sill's corners to match the curve of the original sill. In all they did, their care for fine workmanship was evident. Words to describe Hugo, Noel and their work: professional, meticulous, prompt, courteous, friendly. Communications were great. Hugo and Noel always explained the work they were going to do that day and at the end of the day, relayed their work schedule for the next day. Each day, they arrived at the time they said they would be at our house. With all work, they took the time to ask and understand what we, as customers, wanted. Throughout the project, they asked for feedback on their work to make sure they were meeting our expectations. We were very satisfied. We highly recommend Hugo and Noel!

They were very responsive and scheduling the in person estimate was easy. After I accepted the estimate, they started the job just days later! There were a few things that impressed me about this company 1) my goodness do they work quietly! I work from home and I couldn't hear them at all; 2) they are very good communicators who let you know the status of the project and make sure that you're completely satisfied before they finish; 3) they're punctual; and 4) they're so friendly, too! We felt really bad for him working a Saturday but he was very helpful and didn't make us feel like we were putting him out. The painters were friendly and didn't need any oversight, were friendly, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. We had two hiccups along the way, which both dealt with us adding on painting our front door which I offer as cautionary tales for anyone getting their front door painted: First, the powerwashing of the front door also broke our electronic lock. Patrick was quick to respond and removed the cost of the replacement lock from our invoice. (Very kind, thank you!!) Second, I don't think they told us the right kind of paint to buy because it has always looked too matte and stroke-y, and has lately started to bubble. In the future, I would do more research about what type of paint to buy rather than ask the guy who shows up -- I shouldn't have sprung it on them, even though they were more than happy to do it. Who knew that door paint selection could be such a process? Despite these two notes, I would definitely use Patrick's again in the future. It's hard to find a place that offers great customer service these days, and I am very grateful!

I hired Patrick's Painting for a small project to (1) repair and repaint a defect in a bedroom…read moreceiling and (2) repaint a bathroom. A reason for hiring them for this small job was to evaluate their ability to handle a large job - painting the exterior of our house. Based on my experience with the small job I will not consider them. A two-man team was sent. The person who repaired and repainted the bedroom ceiling did a good job. The person who repainted the bathroom did not do a good job. Specifically, the area below the bathroom mirror light fixture had a surface problem that was not addressed. Possibly an attempt to cover the problem was made by applying a very thick paint application. Not only did this not correct the problem but added to it as clearly visible paint brush marks were left behind. I do not understand why a clearly visible problem was not corrected at the time. It is not easy to contact Patrick's Painting but l eventually did and they sent someone to correct the problem. So, a problem that should have not existed was corrected. The outcome for Patrick's Painting is that I will not consider them for painting my house. The included photograph is of the defects as they were left originally. Whether the job was fairly priced or not, I do not know. I was not concerned with the price of this job, but rather the quality of work performed. They do not measure up.

Manny was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable during the walkthrough., and stopped by during the day-of while the crew was working. The star of the show was Leonel and his crew. Leonel, the team lead, was great. I had a few questions about our drywall repair and he was very thorough in explaining it to me, and ensuring I was satisfied with the quality of work. And when follow-up was needed after the job, he and two of the crew came back to make sure everything was up to snuff. I couldn't be more grateful to HMP for everything and I'll be sure to use them for any future painting needs and recommend them far and wide!

Amazing contractor!!!…read more Lawrence and his crew did a complete renovation of our basement to build an apartment for my parents. From the design through completion, it was a great experience. I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. I give them my highest recommendation!
