They did a fantastic job for us and I highly recommend them! Hebert was able to come out and do an estimate for us right away, and he was exactly on time and very professional. They were able to start the work within a few days, which meant they were able to complete it before we moved into our new house which was great. Herbert at Davinci's was a pleasure to work with. I contracted them to repaint our house and they were not only very response and gave us a very competitive estimate, but most importantly they did an amazing job on the project! They were very flexible to schedule the work and made the process very smooth with minimal impact on my schedule, which was greatly appreciated now that I am going back into the office. They contracted with Sherwin Williams to obtain the paint, which was an easy process to choose colors. During the power washing a few items were broken (of course this happens), but Herbert was great and assured me they would fix those items promptly, which they did. The painting was meticulous with great attention to detail. There was an area we did not include in the estimate and they were happy to add it at a small additional cost. Cost is great. If you have a small space or are doing a flip they're perfect. For a house you live in - go with a professional. Will not use again. Summary they are sloppy and careless. They came in day 1 and repaired a lot of drywall and put down paper and tarps to protect the areas they were working in. By day 2 they started getting sloppy. They also chose to use our downstairs powder room to clean their brushes instead of the laundry sink. They utterly destroyed my hardwood stairs. They didn't clean up paint drops. They didn't really prime anything just a thin spackle coat where you could see the previous colors easily. Hector was surprised how much more paint he needed to buy. Researching online I now know red and orange need tinted primer or a minimum of 5 coats. A professional should know this and estimate and plan accordingly. It looks like a good homeowner done job not paid professionals. After 3 coats they cleaned up the areas they were working in although clearly not done and did not prep the rest of the house. They spilled pain and spackle all over the sunroom floor. It did get cleaned up eventually. Our powder room we took from carribean blue to pineapple cream - no primer so it is more of a green color - it looks nice so I let it go but again not what you expect from a professional. The guy they assigned to paint trim was just tossing paint on it. Dribs and slubs everywhere, no priming, no cleaning and he still missed spots. I told him it was an issue he made minimal changes. I told Hector who said, "ok" and never talked to the guy just let him keep slopping paint on. Every single door where they did front and back they did not do the narrow in between side. After they cleaned up entirely Hector was receptive to letting me mark everything I saw as an issue with tape so they could come back and fix it. They spent an entire day 8am to 6 pm fixing things AFTER they thought it was 100% done. The photos are all issues I found after their clean up day. They told us they would move everything. Instead they got paint on clothing and pans and furniture. They left 1/2 a hefty bag of garbage scattered in my front yard, used painters tape, new and used sandpaper. So much trash. They left both coat closets full of drywall. The photos show uneven lines. Pans found with paint on them. Paint on wood because they fixed areas after removing protective tape/plastic. Painters tape left under other paint. They got paint on many outlets and light switches and in many cases even after I marked them they just put the furniture back to hide them instead of cleaning them. In fairness Hector only charged me the cost of the extra paint for the 5 coats. I waited 1 month to see how things would settle and a lot of the paint on faucets/floors is coming off during routine house cleaning. The door photo where the paint is already peeling, probably because they didn't clean before painting over it, are from today. I don't know if the Sherwin Williams Emerald is particularly gloppy or if it was technique/not priming but the paint almost has a stucco look. read more

After buying a new home that needed a LOT of work, we knew we needed someone reliable and affordable to take on all our projects. After doing some research, we decided to have Davinci Painting complete our home renovations which included: removing textured ceilings throughout the house and repainting the entire home (approximately 2400 sq ft including vaulted ceilings), removing a half-wall, renovating our staircase, painting our kitchen cabinets and island, removing the existing kitchen countertops, installing a kitchen backsplash, installing new lighting and new lighting fixtures, painting the garage, and re-doing the garage floors with epoxy. There was a ton of work to be done and it came out fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough! They were professional and were able to finish our many projects within a couple of weeks, they were diligent to make sure everything was perfect and worked with us to make it just how we wanted. I asked Ken to do an estimate on a carpentry project. Then he came out and poke a few holes on my wood trim. There is big hole he made that a mice can get in. Not sure what he was thinking. Maybe damaging your property first so you have to hire him for the project? If a wood is soft, you can lightly press it to tell. Why do you need to peel everything off? UPDATED IN RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENT. Paul posted an offensive comment and edited SEVEN times. (see photos below). I am only going to respond to the first one. (see photo below). In the comment, he called a me FOOL. If you want to spend thousands of dollars to be called a fool, then they are the right company. In the first redline, they claimed they didn't lay a finger on the trim. However, the other photo they sent to me clearly showed the hole they poked. (see photo below). It is a lie. In the second redline, they claimed I asked them to use tiny 1" wood to fix exterior. I have never done so. Please provide evidences like I am doing here. This is also a lie. In the last redline, they said are you a carpenter, obviously not. How do you know? Why does it matter? You have a carpenter title. However, it seems like the title does not even teach you how to talk. UPDATED IN RESPONSE TO NEW EDITED COMMENT. I put the screenshot with more new offensive languages in red circle.
