That said I'll be brief as if you've been to Popeyes, outside of service, the food should be about the same. The sweet tea is fairly good and so are the fountain drinks. The popcorn shrimp is an ok meal. They are shrimp somewhere under all the breading, which might I add is extremely spicy, as this is their only option. The biscuit is really good, flaky and soft in the center. The homestyle mac is the best out of the sides by far. Cheesy and the pasta isn't limp at all. The fries I would skip as their usually not fresh out of the fryer but they do have some good seasoning. The red beans and rice is average at best with little seasoning and tasting like mush. The potatoes and Cajun gravy are decent. At least it doesn't taste like it's made from a box and water is added. I wish they had more than one gravy option as I don't really like the flavor. The basic chicken sandwich is BIG and tasty. One can really pick up on the buttermilk in the juicy and plump chicken breast. The mayo is good but sparse as are the pickles. The brioche bun is a good choice as it can hold the whole ensemble together. Overall, it's probably the best chicken sandwich in the fast-food game. As for fried chicken I've only had the thighs. However, those thighs are darn near perfect for fast food. Crispy and not greasy while moist and I've never had it taste as if it had been sitting out for a long time. Overall, this Popeyes is not bad at all and I've never had to wait long for my food. Quality ranges from item to item however since the chicken is the driving force, they're tops in the fast food fried game. If you're wanting a lunch for one or dinner for a family and poultry is on your mind, drop on by for some good grub.

As we walked in, we were greeted by who I assume is the owner and she let us know there was a free table next to her. Our waitress was super friendly and gave us chips and salsa shortly after being sat. The chips and salsa were excellent and I, as usual, ate too much. The salsa had a good spice and great flavor and the chips were very crunchy and crispy (like fritos but airier). I ordered a small menudo and chilaquiles with green salsa and both were really good. The menudo had a ton of flavor, good spices, and the stomach pieces were cooked perfectly; super tender and no, sometimes off putting, lingering offal smells. The chilaquiles were also great and the green salsa was mild and refreshing, with excellent side of potatos and beans. I could not finish my food as I thought the small menudo would be like a small cup not a whole bowl. I had also filled up on chips and salsa and our waitress refilled it so I had even more. All in all, this is an excellent little local spot for some bold flavors and fresh food. The menu is quite large and I'm curious to come back and have some other foods (like chicken fried steak).

Ok, firstly it was quick, and second the fries were fresh and NOT TOO SALTY. When I say they were so fresh it tasted like they just peeled and cut the potatoes to make them. I used to love McDonald's. There was something magical about it, the nostalgia, the self-serve soda…read morefountains, the condiments island where you could take as many napkins as your heart desired without judgment. It felt like a place built for the people. Today I returned for one reason and one reason only: the Shamrock Shake. I rarely go to McDonald's anymore, but that minty green legend still calls to me once a year like a seasonal siren. Unfortunately, the experience was... bizarre. When we walked in, we were greeted by absolutely no one. No hello, no eye contact, just a glowing tablet waiting for me to place my order like I was checking in for a flight. Sure, kiosks can be convenient, but it's a little unsettling to order from a robot while the humans behind the counter pretend you don't exist. But that wasn't even the real issue. After ordering a very simple meal including the Shamrock Shake, the entire reason for the pilgrimage we sat down in a dining room that had a strange vibe. The decorations looked like someone tried to combine Easter, modern art, and maybe a Pride parade and then stopped halfway through. I couldn't tell what the theme was supposed to be, but it definitely wasn't "welcoming fast food restaurant." Then a worker came over and informed us they didn't have Shamrock Shakes because the machine had been having problems. This is wild to me. The Shamrock Shake is available for roughly one month out of the entire year, and it's being advertised on giant signs outside the building. How are you going to run out of the one thing people show up for? My heart sank. My mouth had been mentally preparing all day for that cold minty joy. Instead, I was offered a different shake, ice cream, or a smoothie. Absolutely not. That's like going to see a concert and being told the band isn't there but someone can play the recorder for you instead. Naturally, I asked for a refund. That process somehow took 15 minutes and involved confusion about whether Apple Pay would work, whether they needed my card, and whether cash was possible. First Apple Pay wouldn't work. Then cash wasn't an option. Then suddenly Apple Pay did work after all. It was like watching a live demonstration of people learning the register system for the first time. Meanwhile, the drink situation is another mystery. McDonald's used to have self-serve beverage stations. Now you have to ask the staff for a refill. When I asked for one, they told me to throw away my cup and they'd give me a new one. I'm no economist, but that seems more expensive than just letting people refill their own cup. The building itself looked recently remodeled and was mostly clean, though the bathroom smelled like someone had just completed a biological experiment in there. The mirror was a bit dirty and the exhaust fan looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Clinton administration. But the true highlight of the visit was my burger. I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese or, if you've seen the legendary film Pulp Fiction, the famous "Royale with Cheese." What I received was a minimalist masterpiece: Bread Cheese Meat Meat Bread That's it. No toppings. No sauce. No flavor. No joy. Just the architectural blueprint of a burger. There was absolutely no explosion of flavor just two lonely patties and a slice of cheese staring back at me like they knew they had failed. Overall, the facility is decent, but the service and organization were shockingly poor. The staff seemed confused by basic questions, the shake machine was broken during the one month it matters, and the food came out wrong anyway. The art of customer service appears to have quietly passed away at this McDonald's. Thanks for reading. I hope this review helps someone make an informed decision. I do not recommend this location

That said I'll be brief as if you've been to Wendy's, outside of the service, the food should be about the same. As far as sides go, their fries are ok, I mean it's just potatoes and salt with the same fast-food flair as everyone else. I'm not a fan of their chicken nuggets as there's too much breading while the sauces are just ok I suppose. I'm not a fan of FF sauces as it's a lot of stabilizers, artificial this and that and preservatives. Their soft drinks are much like any other chain however where we diverge from the norm are their Frosty's. The defacto seller and most popular item is the chocolate Frosty. They do have seasonal variations that deserve attention. The vanilla incarnation is pretty good too, just as one would expect however in vanilla form. If you're fortunate enough to have tried the orange creamsicle for the limited time it was around consider yourself blessed. OMG this thing was outstanding. From the texture of the Frosty to the forward tasting orange giving way to the creamy ending it was an outstanding effort. To bad it's gone now in June, replaced with the mixed berry Frosty. I can't wait for it to come back. As for the sandwiches I'll be brief as everyone's been to Wendy's. The burgers are good and more tasty than their competitors as the meat just taste better. The veggies are average at best, sometimes I get some great looking lettuce and tomato, sometimes... it looks like it was in a fight with an eggplant and lost. Still the overall burger is good. I've always thought the grilled chicken sandwiches taste better than the fried ones as there's just too much breading. That and when adding bacon to a fried chicken sandwich it's just too much fat for me. So either go basic fried sandwich or grilled with bacon. Overall, Wendy's at this location is above average speed, average food and the employees well I've seen them in good and bad moods but always respectful. One hope I have is the orange creamsicle comes back soon and they served their "breakfast potatoes" (back home we call them home fries) all day long b/c they're better than the fries. I haven't had a bad experience at this location but then again nothing spectacular either. That said, if you're craving Wendy's this will work for you.
