Grassy area and benches
Jade R.

This is a great park! Loys of shade! The trees cover most of the benches so it's perfect! They have a horse shoe pit (bring your own horse shoes) Lots of room for a volleyball next. There's two grills in the side we sat on. There's a pool, but right now it's empty... the park is good for kids, a playground too. There are a lot of caterpillars right now, they cover the playground lol. There are restrooms as well.

This is a really great park. So many features to enjoy. We were looking for a splash pad for a hot afternoon and this one is really fun. Great swings and play structure too. The skate park looks fun and was being well used. Lots of green space and a lovely picnic area too.

A nice clean park in Sunnyvale. This is more suitable for kids that still enjoys the swings and monkey bars. Although my daughter kept herself occupied, she was definitely not too entertained. But w/ kids nowadays.. fun in the sun is no match for media outlets but I still try regardless. When I was a kid, I would gladly put my Game Boy down to rollerskate / rollerbade at the park. I would still love to do the things that I never had a chance to do back then but the only thing that's changed is, my iPhone is a part of me. How in hell can I check in and take pictures if I don't have my phone?

Shiny new portals!

Lakewood Park is one of the favorite parks of my mommy group and mine so we meet here every so often and let our little ones play. They have toddler play equipment and older kid play equipment, both in an area that is mostly circled by a stone wall or a fence. The exit area of the toddler play ground is really close to the road so I wish it was gated, like some other park areas but, it's still pretty nice. There is sand, slides, swings, teeters, and a water park in the park itself. To the side, there is a skate park, picnic areas and fields. To the back are lighted tennis courts, a baseball field and lighted basketball courts. (If the lights go off on you while you're playing, just twist the timer back on. It's on the tall poles on the side of the court.) I'm really glad they turn the water in the water park off when weather is cold. My lil guy is always running up to it and trying to turn it on... even in 40 degree weather. haha I do wonder why we got one 'portal' plastic on the play ground replaced but the others are still yellowed and cracked. The new one looks great... more coming soon, I hope! :-) Whoever is behind taking care of this park does a great job. Thank-you! See ya there!

Great park! Huge open space, lots of picnic areas, fire pit and a couple tennis courts. Can not wait for things to get back to normal. I'll be spending some time here with the pup.

I don't know how come living in this area for already 2 years I haven't seen this park before. I like to work out during my lunch breaks, even if a brisk walk, and therefore I am constantly looking for the next cool spot. Also to check out the barbecue areas and the grass and everything that could constitute a perfect scenario for the ideal picnic with friends. This park has everything you can expect of a great park. The trees are amazing, full, big, like they have years and years watching kids becoming adults there. I like the fact that there is a school nearby and sports facilities, looks very cozy even if so big. Together with the greenbelt nearby is a nice walking workout if you have a spare hour during the day.

To many homeless people starting to invade the picnic area, basketball court lights turn off to early at 10 pm it used to be 11pm

Great park. Water play area is great. Wish there was tanbark instead of sand in the play structure area though.

Amazing hidden gem. SV maintains the park very clean. Playground, sandy volleyball court, water…read morespray area, tennis court, horseshoe court. Highly recommend.

They renovated the playground area. It's much nicer than before. it has swings, slides, climbing…read morestructures (even a rope one!) and a spinning platform. The little kids enjoy the frog that sprays water. There is a public restroom next to the playground so you don't have to drag the little ones too far to use it. The rest of the park has some reservable picnic table areas with BBQs. You'll find 2 tennis courts way in the back, and also a horseshoe pit. Sometimes you'll see people playing volleyball at the sand volleyball court. There is a path that makes a loop around the park. People like to use it to walk or run laps. There is a pond that used to be filled with an unnatural blue color water. This would attract Candadian Geese to the park and they made a big mess pooping all over the park. There was a time when it got so bad that you could not safely stroll along the walkway without running into geese poop. Trying to avoid these land mines is not a fun way to enjoy the park. They've since turned off the water features and the geese no longer plague the park. The park is definitely much cleaner now. There is a small parking lot by the playground and also street parking along the street that leads up to the parking lot. The parking lot dead ends, but they have designed a roundish area at the end -- this area is not designated for parking in -- at the end to help you make a u-turn to drive back out. Sometimes it is difficult to make this u-turn when people park in this area. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=a3c15emWpHiehs81jdgHHw&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7OFU_4ZnZNDS9b1LMP3QtQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rxdAa2RDw46kCSADO9H7hQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ .
