Somerset Park Play Structure. Very CA themed.

This park is nice and quiet. It has a half basketball court, a small paved trail, 1 swing, a neat California themed play structure, nice green lawn and 3 picnic tables with 2 BBQ's nearby. Definitely off the beaten path, but worth finding. I will definitely be bringing my child here again.

We really enjoyed our time here. Not crowded, small neighborhood park with a little basketball court, grass area, and play structure. The playground is all bear cabin themed and adorable! Very unique and fun to play on for kids. The only thing is that the interstate is on the other side of the wall so you can hear the cars passing by the whole time. Besides that, it's pretty quiet!!

Cute little park next to the freeway (but big wall so you can only hear it but not see it) - creative big bear themed playground that I haven't seen elsewhere. Some shade and a couple of parking spots, but no bathroom. Two bbq grills and 3 picnic tables and even half basketball court.

Nice quiet park, little bit of shade. The play structure says 2-5 years but I think older could have fun too. It has an outdoor theme with bear steps up to the tall slides. Nice trees around to picnic after play. About four picnic tables to sit on too in the shade! Down side: 3-4 parking spaces and no bathroom.

There are huge, luscious lawns where people will set up volleyball games on weekends. If you have kids, there is a cute playground with plenty of fun slides. I really enjoy walking along the expanse of the park. As a new pickleball player, this is my go-to location to practice. There are eight courts and a neat queuing system. Because of the clear queue, there is always a very tidy line to play pickleball. What I love about the pickleball courts here is that there are two sides divided by skill level. If you're a pro pickleball player, the advanced side has a line of extremely skilled competitors. If you're just starting out, the beginner side has a good amount of new players to practice with. It does get very busy during certain times, like on weekends or after work. However, the queuing system prevents any confusion when the crowds get big. I absolutely love pickleballing at this park and highly recommend to beginners and more advanced players!

The grounds are clean, making it a comfortable place to take a stroll around the park and relax. Parking is limited. The lot is shared with a nearby senior community center, which reduces the number of spots available for park visitors. Depending on the time of day, you may need to prepare ahead of time to find parking.

That particular round trip is probably less than 2.5 miles round trip, mostly flat, and much of it you have a choice of walking on paved roads/trails so good for strollers. The farm is open until 4pm most days, but be aware this is not a petting zoo, you just get to see the sheep, goats, pigs, cows, rabbits, ducks etc. Still fun for kids, my son loved it when he was little. My favorite hike is to go past the farm and then take the Wildcat Loop trip, you get some great views from up there, that's about 4.5 miles round trip from parking lot with some elevation gain. Our new favorite trail is the Mora Trail which branches off before you get to the farm and goes up to beautiful open vistas. Parking - very hard to find parking on weekend mornings and early afternoons. And don't park illegally, they will ticket you. Trails past the farm tend to be much less used.

I'm a beginner hiker so it's challenging enough to give me a workout. Most of the trail is exposed with greenery around but could be hot in the Summer. There's an educational center with farm animals (goats, huge pigs, cows) and a volunteer supported garden, Deer Hollow Farm. It's open to public most of the week. There's also a historic cabin built in the 1850's preserved and look like a small museum that showcases what life may have been like back then. There's a permanent restroom at the parking lot. Along the trail, there's also a smaller porta potty type but permanent restroom. Plenty of parking.
