This is a HUGE park with plenty of grass and trees for nature enthusiasts. The park is clean and well maintained. With its own parking lot as well as plenty of street parking nearby, it's easily accessible for all members of the community. We came during an event, which seems commonplace due to the size of the venue and central location, and it seems the lot fills up pretty quick. The neighborhood is quite walkable though with its dedicated side walk and wide biking lanes. For events, they do have a nice amphitheater perfect for small performances. If you're coming with children, you will be pleased to know that they have a pretty large playground with a good number of modalities for all ages. We didn't get a chance to experience it however due to our schedule but will be sure to check it out next time we are in the area. If you're a history or cultural buff, there are some structures erected to commemorate the city's connection with Toyokawa City from Japan as a sister city. Overall, Memorial Park is a great place for a family outing or just to take a stroll and soak up some sun and nature. There is plenty of space for fun, relaxation, and socializing in this park. Take the opportunity to make some pleasant memories in Cupertino, starting with this park, and then head your way to the local eateries and shops just a few miles away.

What a beautiful and huge park! Memorial park is located behind the Sports Center with 3 parking lots on either end. I was here on a Sunday, early afternoon. It was not busy at all and I was able to find a nice shaded spot to read my book on my picnic blanket. They have a community center, pickle ball and tennis courts, a baseball field, outdoor amphitheater, a playground, and of course, the memorial. I like this park because there are paved walking paths and lots of grassy areas.

Huge grassy fields - perfect for picnics, dogs, and kids

Really nice local park with large vibrant grassy fields. I came here for a solo picnic and it did not disappoint. There's lots of open space and plenty of room to spread out and relax. It's perfect for dog play, field games, and just to let the youngins run around aimlessly. Speaking of youngins, there's a playground and a baseball field here too. There's also a picnic tables and bbq pits on deck if you prefer to have your picnic at a table. There's plenty of parking and two separate parking lots at each entrance. It has wide walking paths lined by tall trees that circle the field and make for a wonderful place to take a stroll. I also spotted a gazebo where a musician was playing live music. Not sure if they have events here or if this space can be rented out for weddings and private events, but it looks like it would be a great venue for it. Wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but it was nice to do some people watching here as well. All in all, it's a fine option for picnicking, strolling, and relaxing if you're in the area.

This is pretty large park, but it's hard to tell because half of it is fenced off surrounded by green tarp, and this stretches from one whole side through the middle of the park, ruining the overall flow of the area. What used to be a beautiful pond with waterbirds, fountains, and elegant landscaping is now a pile of rubble and dust behind the wired fence and covering. It looks like a rebuilding project that was started (with the demolishing phase), wiping out any signs of life, but then put off for years, and eventually they just gave up and quit, then tried to cover up the botched project and debris with tarp, but didn't realize that the tarp fence was just as much of an eyesore as the wreckage and desolate land behind it. In reality, it's probably more for safety purposes. But all that remains intact of that area is the shell of a gazebo and a bridge that used to cross over the water but now just creates a narrow wooden path sandwiched between more fencing. One end of the park still looks alive with a softball field, tennis court, and open field of grass where I saw visitors playing volleyball. This area is also lined with lovely tall trees which beautifully decorate the cement pathway adjacent to the grassy field. There are two small playgrounds and a public restroom, as well as some picnic tables and benches, but all of this was pretty basic, or even substandard, especially with the worn green tarp as a backdrop. This blight extended into the small amphitheatre as well, where I saw performers rehearsing for their upcoming rendition of Shakespeare in the Park (Much Ado About Nothing), a free event held at different locations throughout summer. The best part of this park is definitely the Cupertino Veterans Memorial and Walk of Remembrance. But even the Wall of Honor was roped off with yellow tape (under construction). Other than that, the walkway and sculptures were in good condition, with messages gracefully etched into large stones on site and inspiring quotes by prominent leaders (ie. Winston Churchill, Thomas Jefferson, Abigail Adams) displayed along the wall. That's probably the most memorable part of this park, hence the name of the park... Well, the other "memorable" part is not memorable in a good way. But wow, if they ever were to fix that, it would bring the whole place back to life.. and make it a much more inviting atmosphere, especially for the events and festivals they hold here.

There's no water on the pool (or pond). That's so weird.

Very disappointed in this place. From Google map, it shows there's a big pool or small lake in it. But actually the pool has no water in it. Can you believe it? Not sure what was happened. Did they decide to do so for saving the water bill?

Writing this review on Veterans day. Memorial Park is quiet as a funeral during the pandemic. The baseball field lies empty, as no team sports during covid-19. There was no Cupertino Cherry Blossom festival in April 2020. There is no Shakespeare in the Park playing during the summer. Children's playgrounds are taped off with yellow tape and closed to the public. The pond has been drained for years, a relic of the drought. In the middle lies a small gazebo, marooned in a sea of concrete. No pond means no geese, and no geese means no geese poop to step into! Some things do go on. The six lighted tennis courts are open to the public to play, although two of the courts are for city lessons, and the courts are closed for cleaning on Tuesdays before 9am. Fifteen years ago played tennis here regularly after work under the lights, before switching to Sunnyvale Tennis Center, with a change in league play times from 6pm to 7pm. allowing us to play at 530pm. People playing on the huge grassy fields with frisbees or with their dogs. Far fewer people than in the past, means far fewer dogs, and far fewer dog poop. You can actually walk across the grass without having to watch your step! In a quiet corner of Memorial Park is the Guardians, a statue of two Navy SEALS from Cupertino, Matthew Axelson and James Suh, who died fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. On the nearby walls are engraved the names of those from the surrounding community who make the ultimate fighting for their country. The 2020 Veterans Memorial service today has been cancelled due to the pandemic, but the Guardians statue serves as a reminder of those who fought in battle to allow us to celebrate this Veterans Day

This park is humongous and I had no idea it existed despite driving by here so many times. They have a baseball field, tennis courts, multiple play areas, and a lot of walking trails in addition to a beautiful Memorial. It was great to see people playing volleyball and frisbee and enjoying the sun.

Came here for Dogfest 2014. Big park you can walk around on a concrete trail. Nicely landscaped with Asian inspirations like the bridge and center of the pond statue. The pond is dry due to the drought at first I thought it was a skate park haha. There's a lot of grass open areas for team game play. There is a baseball diamond where I saw a team playing a baseball game. Memorial for veterans with marble engravements with names and quotes. Amphitheater type stage area too. There are shady areas which is a must for any park. Parking lot was a decent size we found parking no problem. Worst case you can park walking distance to the shopping center across the street. Overall this park was clean.

note to self : DO NOT go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Cupertino again unless u r sure it is going to b great. DO NOT b fooled by the large banner on Stevens Creek again. DO NOT get drunk n txt msg everyone on your contacts list "whatcha doing?" at 2am. the Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year in Cupertino in the Memorial Park on Stevens Creek Blvd. by Highway 85. it's right across from De Anza College. it's usually held after the bigger n better one in San Francisco's Japantown. I've never been to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Cupertino before. I was looking forward to it this year after always seeing the large banner advertising it on Stevens Creek Blvd. I made sure to not eat too much breakfast in the morning n we got there around noon. there was no more space in their small lot so we had to park on the street. we walked around looking for food vendors cuz boy was I famished! the only food vendors there was a tent selling popcorn n one selling cotton candy. those to me r not the real kind of food I wanted for lunch so I was kinda irritated. (by then I was grouchy from my empty stomach.) so we ended up leaving n going to Super Duper Burgers in Santa Clara. : /

A True Memorial Park! I've been wanting to see The Guardians sculpture for awhile. The figures are of 2 Navy Seals, Matthew Axelson and James Suh. Axelson was a Cupertino native. Around the grounds are other memorials of the men & women of Cupertino and the surrounding area, engraved on the wall, who gave their lives protecting and defending our way of life and freedoms. The Memorial area is a wonderful tribute! Outside of the memorial area is several places to relax, play, and to kick back! There are several benches and picnic benches. Some have BBQ Pitts. There are to 2 different areas that have play grounds. 1 area has 2 play structures and there is bathrooms near by. I walked inside the Men's Restroom, dirty and the changing table was very used!! The other playground is near the tennis courts and baseball field. The grounds..the grass was very green!! When my girls went running, I was hoping that they did fall and land in duck poop!! There were several geese and ducks in the area. Paved path- there is s paved path of you want to jog or get your walk on. I checked my step counter and it was like 1300ish. I wore my girls out!! Parking-Free The parking lot filled up quickly and I was here at midday. I can't imagine has crowd it must get over the weekend or during an event.

I don't like a huge park that I have to park the car and walk so much, but I don't have to worry about parking cause I live next to this park.

That particular round trip is probably less than 2.5 miles round trip, mostly flat, and much of it you have a choice of walking on paved roads/trails so good for strollers. The farm is open until 4pm most days, but be aware this is not a petting zoo, you just get to see the sheep, goats, pigs, cows, rabbits, ducks etc. Still fun for kids, my son loved it when he was little. My favorite hike is to go past the farm and then take the Wildcat Loop trip, you get some great views from up there, that's about 4.5 miles round trip from parking lot with some elevation gain. Our new favorite trail is the Mora Trail which branches off before you get to the farm and goes up to beautiful open vistas. Parking - very hard to find parking on weekend mornings and early afternoons. And don't park illegally, they will ticket you. Trails past the farm tend to be much less used.

I'm a beginner hiker so it's challenging enough to give me a workout. Most of the trail is exposed with greenery around but could be hot in the Summer. There's an educational center with farm animals (goats, huge pigs, cows) and a volunteer supported garden, Deer Hollow Farm. It's open to public most of the week. There's also a historic cabin built in the 1850's preserved and look like a small museum that showcases what life may have been like back then. There's a permanent restroom at the parking lot. Along the trail, there's also a smaller porta potty type but permanent restroom. Plenty of parking.
