We had a relaxing evening here today. It was nice to be out in great weather. There were several groups practicing soccer, families enjoying the playground and folks walking their dogs. I had a nice run circling around the park before heading out.

We recently discovered this hidden gem and it has since become one of our girls (5 & 8) favorite parks. There are play structures for the big kids and little kids in addition to swings. Also there is a huge open grassy space in the middle where during the week kids are taking soccer practice. There are a number of picnic tables, BBQ grills and a bathroom. There is also a walking loop that surrounds the park, a dog park, and a volleyball court. It is clean and well maintained. In all of our visits it has never been overly crowded. This park has a lot to offer and is a great place for some fun family time!

Go to this park a lot for bbqs and soccer. Great park. The field is actually nice and well maintained. If someone tells you they booked the field and you booked it too, tell them to show the paper. The city doesn't usually make mistakes like these. Had a good time eating some hotpot during the weekend. Surprisingly wasn't busy. This place actually doesn't get too packed. But always a go to for bbqs and what not.

Part of me wants to give this place a lower review for the sake of crowd control in the summer (keep a secret a secret, y'know?). However, I just love you guys too much to do that so I'm being honest. I think this is a great park - giant green field, convenient bathroom (this is a big deal if you have kids, which is likely if you're going to this kind of park but if you're 22 and just really like playgrounds, I won't judge you...), two play areas, and picnic tables/bbq setup. What's not to like? I do agree that the bigger playground is a little scary if you have a rambunctious 3 year old who wants to play on the big toys. Just keep a close eye as it's cool but definitely intended for an older audience.

Great park, hidden gem! I've been coming here since I was a kid. (I got one of those big styrofoam airplanes stuck on the roof of one of the adjacent office buildings.) It's clean and has a great playground for the kids (although, you have to really watch the little ones on the big play structure, it's pretty high). Lot's of grassy area as well.

Beautiful park but wayyyy to many people treat it like a dog park. Currently 8 dogs off leash with absolutely no recall and no manners.

The drive up to the gardens is beautiful at this time with all the trees being red & orange. Entrance fee is $12 per adult but we just so happened to visit on Santa Clara County Resident's day. After showing ID, our admission was free; what a nice surprise! The gardens were small but had many different areas to enjoy; there was a beautiful pond with fish, waterfall, tea ceremony room, bamboo garden, bonsai exhibit, and more. There are a lot of nice benches to soak it all in. It's the perfect escape from the city!

I drove 45 minutes to Hakone Gardens recently at the end of March and found out that most of the cherry blossoms were gone. I was like whaaaa....I usually go during the end of March and they would be in full bloom. Apparently, they bloomed earlier this year. I was looking forward to seeing the wonderful pink color all around. Anyways, Hakone is still a treat to walk around and is very nice when the flowers are blooming. I love sitting near the beginning of the trail and looking at the ponds, bridge, koi fish and all the trees. It transports me to Japan without the airfare and passport. Parking can be difficult on busy days and will be waiting for awhile for someone to leave. Gift shop is cute and there are many cute finds in there. Admission is now $12 but parking is still free.

Though there are a few different trials to choose from, they all end up crossing at one point or another. Even if you do all of them, they aren't too long and the hike tends to be fairly short. The area is pretty hilly, so most trails have a good elevation gain. Aside from the hiking, you can stroll the garden and picnic in the grass in front of the villa. They have some art installations around the grass and in the garden that are fun to look at. They also have concerts here, there is a stage outside, but I've only ever seen one inside the concert hall. They're usually smaller names and smaller shows.

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT EACH LOT as you come up to them (Lots 1-4) as noted this is a one-way road. If you reach Lot 4 and can't find a spot you have to drive all the way back down to the main road and start over. Just saying to save the frustration. Parking is free by the way. The main estate house holds conferences and events and such was this on the day we were there, so we couldn't get inside. The main lawn is excellent for having a picnic and just relaxing. The surrounding grounds have a trail that winds around with lots of outdoor art to experience. Be sure to go through the large "deer gate" at the bottom of the grounds. There is more art to be viewed in the Italian Garden. With the trails, ponds, botanicals and art it's a lot to see and enjoy.

There are endless amounts of trails that you can look towards -- some roll around in a circle, and some lead all the way to Sanborn County Park. While many people say these trails go nowhere, they do lead to the opening of trails that lead into the Santa Cruz Mountains. The only improvement that I would give to this park is the narrowness of some of the trails that we had to encounter -- and while there were spectacular views of the South Bay, what was lackluster and disappointing was the fact that there were barely any labels that were telling us where we were going. The bridges were a very good view of how close or how far we were from the very beginning of the entrance of the park, however, so that was a very good sign. If you're looking for a park that challenges you as much as going to Almaden Quicksilver Park, but without driving so far, then the Saratoga Quarry Park is just for you. I'll definitely be back to challenge myself to climb these hiking paths more.
