Clean and well maintained for all ages

We have been going to Los Gatos Meats a few blocks down for years and never noticed this cute park on the other side of the creek from Vasona. We had lunch at Loma Brewing downtown and walked the 15-20 minutes here. We rode the train ($4 per ticket for anyone 3 and up) and carousel ($4) and played in the playground before walking back. It is a popular park for outdoor birthday parties and play dates. They also sell bbq through Rotary Club. Our kid loved all of it! I love that it is super low key and casual and yet everything is super clean. The train ride is about 10 min so even if you wait, it isn't too bad. I can't wait to come back in December for the light show train ride!

A lovely park for kids. Lot of fun playgrounds for kids, there are picnic areas, carousel and small train. It's linked to vasona lake county park. Parking is $6, kind of limited, you can park at Vasona lake park and walk around, it's pretty close to each other.

Came here with my partner for a 4th of July picnic, a special holiday event taking place this day, Los Gatos Symphony in the Park, featuring the San Jose Wind Symphony. We didn't stay long, but enjoyed our time here. Found relief from the hundred degree heat underneath the shade of one of the trees surrounding the park, and wandered through the large grassy field full of green. The park was definitely spacious with several unique elements, like the train chugging along Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad, an adorable classic carousel, and a US Air Force plane structure in the playground area near the parking lot, the country's first jet trainer, the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (T-bird). The park has a concession stand selling refreshments like hot dogs, string cheese, ice cream, coffee, and sno cones. And the special event had food truck offerings including bbq, mexican food, and kona ice beverages. I opted for the chicken & waffle sandwich from the Waffle Roost food truck, and it was a decent meal for lunch at this lovely park adjacent to Vasona Lake.

Oak Meadow Park in Los Gatos, California, is an absolute treasure, and I can't recommend it enough--5 stars all the way! This 12-acre park is a haven for families, kids, and anyone looking to enjoy a delightful day outdoors. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the park's charm and the sheer variety of activities it offers. The playground is a standout feature, perfect for kids of all ages. It's packed with imaginative play structures, including a retired fire engine and airplane that my kids couldn't get enough of--they spent hours climbing and pretending to be pilots and firefighters. The swings, slides, and climbing structures are well-maintained, and the layout ensures there's something for both younger and older children. I also appreciated how clean and safe the area felt, with plenty of benches for parents to keep an eye on the little ones. What makes Oak Meadow Park truly special, though, is the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad and the W.E. Bill Mason Carousel. The mini train ride, which winds through the park and into the adjacent Vasona Lake County Park, was a highlight for my family. At just $3 a ticket (and free for kids under 2), it's an affordable treat that brought smiles to everyone's faces. The carousel, with its vintage charm, was equally enchanting--my kids begged to ride it multiple times. Both are operated by volunteers who clearly love what they do, adding a warm, community feel to the experience. The park also boasts plenty of open grassy fields, perfect for a game of frisbee or soccer, and the creek-side walking paths are serene for a leisurely stroll. We packed a picnic and enjoyed one of the many tables available, though I'd recommend reserving a spot for larger groups since the picnic areas can get busy. The barbecue pits are a nice touch for family gatherings, and I noticed several birthday parties happening, with kids laughing and playing everywhere. The park's location next to Vasona Lake County Park is a bonus, giving you access to even more trails and activities without needing to drive. While there's a small parking fee ($6 for non-residents), you can park on the street for free and walk in, which we did without any hassle. The restrooms were clean, and the overall upkeep of the park was impressive--there's a real sense of pride in this community space. Oak Meadow Park is more than just a park; it's a place where memories are made. Whether you're a local or just visiting Los Gatos, this park is a must-see for a fun, family-friendly day out. I can't wait to return!

Super cute park with adjacent parking lot. There's a plane and fun play structures for the littles. There's a huge vast green space as well as lots of picnic tables. Came here on Thanksgiving morning for a walk and the parking lot was full. People were picnicing and bbqing for the holiday! Fun atmosphere! There is a path to walk around the green. This is also the way to get to the Los Gatos Creek Trail.

First review this year!! Amazing playground attached to a wide green space and near trails running creekside. Also near the carousel and Billy wildcat railroad ride. Pros: Great for 3-10, wide age range. A lot of old vehicles as climbing structures and play structures big and small If your kids like planes and trains, they'll be obsessed with this! Has sitting areas for the parents. Fenced in part for anyone with escape artists... iykyk lol Cons: Parking in the adjacent lot was pretty full and not the biggest. There's another lot down the street closer to the other playground for Vasona county park but it's a bit of a walk to this playground.

I love this park! It's the smaller cousin of Vasona park which is right next door. I like it because they have a small trail that is convenient for a run with some shade and it's right on the LG trail. They have a nice lawn which is great when the weather is nice. I remember my first socially distant social event being an event here when a local was playing some music for the small number of folks who were in the park.

The kid park is so unique and fun. Huge grass field that I have my son driving a car around. The carousel and train too. I love this place.

This was where I got married and held my dad's memorial. It has a very nice gazebo. You can dress it up or down.
