I went here to relax and do some reading and writing after going for a walk. Awesome park with lots of shade and very quiet. Nice people said good morning to me. Nice dog owners and dogs too. Just a very pleasant place. Tons of parking. Felt right at home. Bathroom nice too. Nice rainbow mural.

This park is REALLY nice for younger kids, because there are two play structures; one for little bits and the other for older kids. Each play structure is large and has a variety of activities included, unlike some tot lots that don't have much to the climbing structure. The low play structure includes a little picnic table for make-believe meals, tunnels, a bridge, spinning bead mosaic, steering wheels, stairs, and slides. In that same area, there are two toddler swings in the shade and a springy see-saw apparatus. The taller structure has most of the usual activities, but because it's surrounded by a retaining wall, you can only get out on to it using a bridge from the upper area, which makes it kind of fort like. There is also a large sand pit, and a button controlled sprinkler fountain that empties into the sand. Fun but just be ready for some sandy, sticky kids. The shade trees and funky retro picnic tables make it perfect for picnic and play. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I have two issues, but they are really only problems for my situation having 1.5 yr old twins and a 3 year old. #1: I wish that the partial fence went all the way around the low play structure, especially to keep the toddlers out of the sand and off the tall play structure. Since I have three to chase, I feel that I can't go to this park alone with them. #2: Parks and Rec needs to fill in the very deep hole next to the fountain. I LOVE the idea, but with the huge hole and very hard concrete edge, it's not too safe for the young ones. The twins wanted to play with the water, but I couldn't deal with it for long because I didn't want to perform first aid on anyone. Thinking about bringing a shovel next time we go and leveling the sand myself. ;-) We went on a Sunday for a picnic lunch and ended up being one of three groups there. One lady was doing Tai Chi with a sword, which was pretty fascinating to my 3 year old.

Good place for BBQ and picnic. There's a wide grassy lawn for kids and dogs to run around. But it's not the most picturesque park in the summer because the grass turns brown.

Nice park. Kids like the recessed playground with a little bridge. Enough space for riding scooters, but not too large.

Nice play structures. The sand in the tot lot gets everywhere so beware of that but otherwise a clean, pretty park.

What kind of park has a zipline?!? THIS ONE. Two seating options, one with a harness for toddlers,…read morethe other for older kids (I even saw adults using this). The park also offers a fun and inclusive space for children, with climbing structures, sturdy cement slides, swings for both toddlers and older youth, a see-saw, merry-go-round, trampoline, and spongy material making up the ground's surface. The occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterfly too. As an adult simply looking for a place to relax while waiting for my car at an auto shop nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to find this park accommodating. Dirt and concrete trails weaving through the garden, lovely vegetation in spring, and a good amount of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. Also, a shady area with fake grass and seats made out of smoothed-out logs and tree trunks, as well as adirondack chairs where I was able to hang out and nap while I was there. It wasn't too crowded or crazy on a Friday morning, though it got busier as it neared noon time. In addition, the place offers a parking lot and clean restrooms for convenience.

The play garden has everything kiddos love -- slides, one seesaw, one round spinner, one rope climbing thing (that can also spin), swings (bucket and standard), small water play area, and a Zipline (one for little kids 3+ and one for older kids). They also have an area with tables, where someone was having a party (no idea if reservations are needed though). Expect to wait in line for a turn of the park is crowded. The play garden is fenced off from the rest of the park. They have a restroom on site. They have a small parking lot that is nearby the entrance of the play garden. I noticed some people parked on a smaller side street and walked over. I'm not sure what other parking options there are otherwise. We would return if we're in the area again and if it's less busy. It's a solid park and play area for those who live nearby.

Such a beautiful park!!…read more I've had Delano Manongs Park bookmarked for quite some time and as time passed, I honestly forgot about this place. With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.

Such a fun, spacious, and beautiful park!…read more I stumbled across this gem due to being in the nearby area. It just so happened to be right after Easter weekend and the plentiful garbage bins were 100% overflowing. With that said, the parks still came off quite tidy. Park visitors clearly made the effort to throw things away in appropriate areas and overflowed garbage bags were placed right along the bathroom building. City workers stopped by shortly after and BAM!! Everything was cleared and cleaned. Doerr Park comes recommended for children of all ages. There is a kiddy area and a more advanced play structure for the older kids in your life. The structure provides a lot of American Ninja Warrior vibes as opposed to your basic swing set and slide. 5/5 stars. This park is so bomb!!!

The playground is divided by a smaller playground for the little kids and a larger playground for the bigger kids. The kids I take care of love to come here and climb and go down the slides. They prefer this park over the one by their house in Willow Glen. The restrooms are decent. There's always toilet paper, soap and paper towels. There's lots of picnic tables--some covered, some not. There's lots of nice walking/biking paths around the park. There are also tennis courts which people are always using for pickleball. Also basketball courts. Tons of grassy fields to run around. There isn't a parking lot for this park but plenty of street parking.
