While this wouldn't be considered the most exciting park to my 6 year old, it does the job if you are looking for a spacious, shady, and clean environment. The play structures are more for younger visitors as opposed to someone who is interested in more physical obstacle course. I didn't notice any restrooms but other yelpers have confirmed otherwise. There are tennis courts to enjoy, BBQ sites available for renting, an off leash dog area, large open lawn, and a roomy walking path. Cuesta Park is unfortunately too mellow for my high energy toddler but I'd give this park 4 solid stars for the perfect place to enjoy a nice stroll, do some kite flying, or revel in a good catch up sesh with some friends.

We have visited two days in a row and there has been a small vendor selling ice-cream, chips etc which was a nice treat.

This would be a good place for a birder; I heard many birds throughout and saw a few woodpeckers.

Aside from sand constantly getting everywhere around the playstructures, it was generally very clean. Note this doesn't extend to the bathroom, which was average for a park. Second, the play structures are great for small children. I think around 6 or 7 you'll probably find the park a bit boring, but for kids in the 3-5 range it's very nice. They have tennis courts, too, although they weren't in the best condition. There's a good amount of space here, too. It's definitely not a small park. There's plenty of room for sports or just hanging around, and lots of dogs come. There's also a nice trail that winds around the perimeter. I do wish there was a fence around the play structures to keep kids out of the street. Even some small barrier would be nice. Also, parking can be tough. The lot is tiny, and that leaves it up to street parking. This can be annoying. If you live nearby then it's a good choice, but it's not worth going out of your way, especially when Cuesta Park isn't too far away.

This place is usually my go to when the weather is just perfect and you want good views of the mountains viewing the Monterey Bay and the Santa Clara Valley. In addition, the park is even open during the cold winter season, where it occasionally will snow (because of how high the elevation is, the main base is situated at about 3,200 feet above sea level). This place has been my go-to park for hiking for a while, because of its terrain. At the same time, it's also been because of how much snow they get when cold fronts come into effect. They are also open year-round, so definitely swing by this state park when you do get the chance to! It's a decision you'll never regret.

The first time I came here years ago, couldn't find a spot so we left, then came back another time and lucked out. Most recently we spent about 30 minutes circling and going back and forth between all the lots before we finally got a spot. We considered leaving, but every time we tried to sit and look at a map to find somewhere else to go, a car would come up behind us and we'd have to move. So if you aren't a patient person, come early, or don't come. After our parking search nightmare was over, we were finally able to enjoy the beautiful trails and lovely farm. It was truly amazing how empty the trails felt with how many people and cars were there. We did the deer hollow loop trail which included the coyote trail, and we only came across a handful of other groups until we got to the farm. They have maps at the trial head, and many trails to choose from, so grab a map if you haven't been. The maps are small so it's kind of hard to tell where you are, but luckily the trail posts are numbered, so you can reference them on the map as your winding your way on the trails. We were pleasantly surprised by how many animals there were on the farm! There were goats, pigs, sheep, cows, ducks, geese, and chickens. It was fun to explore and watch all the animals grazing and roaming their pens. The farm is a decent trek from the parking lot, even though it is flat and there are paved areas you can walk, it does take some time to get back out from it.

I heard of this new park opening October 31,2020 and saw it looked beautiful in pictures so I had to check it out for myself. I brought my 4year old nephew and he absolutely loved it. Wants to keep coming back. He enjoyed the stacked logs and kids play area along with swings. Luckily it's not raining yet so we will be back. Most definitely recommend for people with Lott children. People were very friendly as well. read more

The soccer field takes up the majority of the park, and if there's a game on, it seems mostly overtaken by very serious looking parents, lol.

The area is extremely spacious, even offering a track where a lot of people were seen taking a stroll. The play structure is clean and obviously well taken care of. There is plenty of sunshine with just the right amount of shade scattered throughout the space. With some further exploring I noticed a few grills, benches, and beautifully made ping pong tables. There were kids of all ages who came to enjoy during out 45 minute visit and everyone was so very friendly. My daughter quickly made friends with 3 other kids and it was tough tearing her away from the park when that time came. 5/5 stars. I'd happily come back and visit again. This spot is highly recommended.
