This is such a nice park! There are many areas to park and enjoy. I used this spot to get in a few steps during the day, and the trail is really nice. There are tennis courts, a playground, a track, a long jump area, swings, and so many other things to enjoy. The trees are beautiful, and there are bathrooms as well. This place is a win! read more

Shout out to my Little for doing all the footwork in planning, executing, & researching in finding a solid location to host our very first picnic. My daughter and I were over the moon to say the least! While this wouldn't be considered the most exciting park to my 6 year old, it does the job if you are looking for a spacious, shady, and clean environment. The play structures are more for younger visitors as opposed to someone who is interested in more physical obstacle course. I didn't notice any restrooms but other yelpers have confirmed otherwise. There are tennis courts to enjoy, BBQ sites available for renting, an off leash dog area, large open lawn, and a roomy walking path. Cuesta Park is unfortunately too mellow for my high energy toddler but I'd give this park 4 solid stars for the perfect place to enjoy a nice stroll, do some kite flying, or revel in a good catch up sesh with some friends. read more

I can hardly believe I have been visiting this park since I was a child. I think it started being developed in 1970. hether I was riding my bike, playing tennis at the courts, having a picnic, or simply walking around, it was always a great place to be. Now, it's filled with people walking their dogs, which is perfectly fine, and there are designated areas nearby for that as well. It's a fantastic park to relax in, spend the day, seek some quiet time, or just take a walk. The park is located next to Sylvan Park, another green neighborhood nearby. Its is also near St. Francis Acres in Mountain View.Close to Blossom Valley Shopping Cente. Not far from Springer Trees, Gest Ranch/ Miramonte Oaks neighborhood and Los Altos. Good memories at Cuesta Park. It's a nice lush park in Mt. View with a nice playground for toddlers. They also have tennis courts, and volleyball nets are set up on the grass throughout the year when it's nice outside. They are multiple parking lots and restrooms. read more

Beautiful park! Booking a group BBQ pit was easy. You do have the space for a whole day once you book it for the fall/ winter months. There are two BBQ areas- family and group. Group holds ~50 and family ~8-10. Park itself is beautifully maintained, peaceful and has plenty of parking. read more

Great park to walk around. Nothing too scenic about it, but here are some available amenities: tennis court, playground, grilling areas, YMCA, and bathrooms. The grass is plentiful, but hilly. The field of grass besides the tennis court has been recently caution-taped off for whatever reason. The walks here are so peaceful, and there are always people here playing tennis still past 9PM. This is a fantastic park, definitely worth a trip. From playgrounds to grassy areas to biking to even a "wilderness" of sorts, this place is great. First, when you arrive, there are 2 parking lots. I've seen one full, but never both. The lots are off the street, too, so it's quite safe. Second, there is so much space. There are big, open, flat spaces where you play sports. There are hills and less groomed places for dogs to run around on. And there's places between the trees that are perfect for relaxing or picnics. Third, the playgrounds are fantastic. They have some shade protection thanks to the tall trees and there are a lot of structures and games for kids of different ages. Fourth, the park has it's own wilderness area, with just a dirt path around a bunch of trees. It's a fun place to explore and feel like you're really away from everything. Fifth, there are bleachers near the tennis courts so you can take a break and seem some sports. Or play sports if you play tennis. They also have handball courts. This park really is good for everything. Couple that with easy parking and great landscaping makes it one of the best parks I've ever been to. read more

A very lovely local park that has a small playground for children, picnic tables and benches to sit on. But beware of dogs. They are to be found unleashed all over the park, with complete disregard to staying within the off-leash areas. And even worse is the annex area, where some dog owners are under the impression that the entire annex is a dog park. read more

Spacious park with fantastic amenities such as a calisthenics fitness area and a volleyball/badminton court on a solid surface. The park offers ample grassy areas and pathways. Although there are some gophers present, efforts are being made to address this issue. I once accidentally left my water bottle behind, and to my surprise, I found it neatly placed on a bench the following day! The park provides convenient access to bathrooms and parking facilities, and it doesn't get overly crowded. read more

Pretty sweet park for tennis, children, or bicycling/scootering. It is extremely well-maintained, with nice walking space built-in, so you'll have plenty to do for a morning or afternoon. The play structures are pretty safe but can be packed on the weekends. For children and teens, there is a pretty cool hill "drop," but I would advise parents to guide their young children at this spot to avoid any serious injuries. Parking lot is generally enough to accommodate everyone. Open space is available for lots of different activities. Also, just down the street there is a Safeway in case you need any extra supplies. Absolutely love this place. Perfect for all your picnic/BBQ/potluck events. Make reservations in advance. Not crowded. Public restroom is decent. Bonus points for park maintenance and keeping it very clean around here. Lots of tables and benches, along with your perfect BBQ pits. I only have great things to say about this place. People have group gatherings here and the parking lots of not usually full, but if you plan a day here, do come early. Walking trail is not long, but the views are extremely calming and incredible. Trash bins are easily spotted. One thing to note, I do see signs saying no food or drink near the non-BBQ tables & bench area, especially where children usually plays. Maybe some parts of the park are supposed to be off limits to food and drinks. I wanted to eat on their lovely green grass, but didn't know if that was allowed. No one else was doing picnics on the lovely grassy area. What stands out most are all the BBQ areas for reservations only. They have numbers, so remember to find your favorite area. The crowds that I saw were mainly mothers and infant children. Sometimes, there are grandmothers and just folks walking around. Lots of shady areas with huge trees. I think it's an excellent place for you if you do like eating out at the parks. Easy access back onto Grant all the way to Hwy 237 or El Camino Real. Loved it very much. Beautiful! read more

This is a great little park. It's not the end all park that some of you might be seeking, but it's in a prime area that is very safe and full of nice people. Also very dog friendly. Came here Pokemon hunting and enjoyed the stay overall. Plenty of trees and little areas perfect for the kids. Parks are a big deal to the city person in me, so when I see a park, it brings a smile to my face. Overall, a great park, so bring the family and friends here and relax. read more

Cuesta Park has been kind to our family since they were toddlers until now. From Easter egg hunts to barbecues and school outings, it has served its purpose. We recently got a puppy and the folks who also own dogs out here are so welcoming. We met many owners last night after dinner and they were delighted to meet our pup. There is also a dedicated dog area where you can let them roam around off leash although some dogs chasing balls in other areas of the park are off leash but they don't bother anyone. It's also in close proximity to the YMCA and there are tennis court facilities on sight. The park is large with lots of room to roam. Mountain View's main park and a gem for all to enjoy!! read more

This is one of the best park that I would recommend in the area. There are always plenty of parking and although there could be quite a lot of people, the park is big enough to spread us all out so we feel safe to sit on the grass or a bench for an afternoon. All playground facilities were closed and people tried to stay away from it too. Overall, it's a good place to jog, have a picnic, bike, take pictures, or even just for some fresh air! read more

I was looking for a park in the peninsula for a picnic, and came across Cuesta Park! It checked the boxes of what I was looking for: plenty of grassy areas for spreading out and lots of big trees for shade. The grass was green and full.. no dry or patchy grass here! There were enough trees that each group had their own private tree to sit under for their gatherings. Parking was also super easy here- I believe there's a few lots you can pick from. Currently, because of COVID-19, the play structures are off limits. When I was there, people were all wearing masks and keeping their distance from others. Overall, a lovely park to relax at! Also, it is dog friendly. Bonus- it's right next to a plaza that has Ranch 99 and In n Out, so you can always run over to grab food if you need it! read more

Great big park that's always active with lots of families. Parking can get full on weekends but there's street parking on cuesta or in the neighborhoods. Didnt see any water fountains but you can buy bottled water for around $1.50 in the center next to tennis courts. read more

Nice park, neat structures and sand area, lots of grass. What's my beef, then? Have you ever tried to walk a toddler back to the car across a football field sized area of grass that only has windy paths (and signs to keep off the grass) post-park? No? I have. Said 40-lb, tired and tantruming toddler wound up being carried back to the car by yours truly. Now who is tired? Potty training? You better be ready for the hike (or in the case of the mom at the park with me, sprint carrying a three year old) to the bathrooms across the parks. I hope you don't have a kid that wants to go to the bathroom and another that doesn't want to leave the play area - you can't see one from the other. Packed a lunch? Think again! There are signs all over declaring "no food or drink in this area" - you know, the areas with the tables and benches? No food or drink. I was told that you should eat in the grassy field area. (Another person at the park told me the signs were fairly new. Guess they're tired of picking half-eaten PB&Js out of the sandbox. Still, no eating at the park!) Nice park but they might want to rethink the way kids use a park. read more

Company picnic and bbq Ummm... where are those killer squirrels? Eating lots of yummy catered food from Andy's Some bounce housin', balloonist, face painting, caricature, and games... The area was big, clean, and fun! All the little kids were happy (even me)!! We had our annual company picnic here! It was a great day to have a bbq (different salads, chicken, brisket, ribs, veggie burgers..)!! YUM!! Parking was a bit tight, but we were able to find a spot close by. I really enjoyed walking around this park and the mini hills!! Lots of friendly dogs too! I read a lot of the reviews and was kinda scared to go to this park because of the squirrels. O_O But I actually didn't see any! It was my first time at a park in the bay area and had a great time! Lots of families and kids!! I definitely want to come back and play some bocce!!! :D read more

Cuesta Park was one of the many things that attracted us to the neighborhood it sits in. We're lucky to live within walking distance of this lovely place. I have walked my babies through it in strollers, enjoyed the Music in the Park series, logged in many hours at the playground and my daughter has taken tennis lessons at the very well run tennis center. There are a few things that should be noted about Cuesta Park that visitors may not be aware of: - Food is not allowed in the playground area. This rule is in place due to a series of squirrel attacks that began occuring after years of visitors feeding the critters. The squirrels become desensitized to humans and began crawling into diaper bags under strollers and even attacking kids carrying snacks around the playground. And no, I'm not kidding about this though I wish I was. - The bowl next to the tennis center isn't really a dog park. Although I would have liked for it to be and tried to convinced the city council to fence it and put a dog park in there, it is not a dog park. Many people make this mistake because it is a posted off leash dog training area. Ball throwing doesn't count as off leash training. My husband narrowly escaped a leash violation here once. read more

This is a nice place to play bocce but beware the killer squirrels. Seriously, there are wanted posters of the squirrels and everything. The bocce courts are the nicest free ones around (or so I'm told), and often come with a friendly Russian guy who watches your game. Friendly Russian guy (FRG) will often let you know which ball is closest so you don't have to keep trekking down to the other end of the court. At first I was disappointed that dogs have to be on leash at all times, however, after having walked around the place and having seen people with their trained dogs off their leash and many many amenities, I feel this really is one of the best parks I have ever been to. This place has so many good things. Nice size play ground for little kids. BBQ areas that anyone can use and also seperate area that can be reserved. Nice wide open space to do anything such as toss the ball around or play with your dog. Clean walk ways if you are just there to do light exercise. I used to run through this park really late at night so I'd miss the bustle of people during the daytime. During the weekend this place is just out of hand. During the summer they have free concerts on certain weeknights which I forget but that's a pretty cool neighborhood activity.
