This review will focus on the off-leash dog park. First, overview: nice park. Big green, grassy area fenced on most sides. Some trees along the edges. A swimming pool that looks mighty inviting. Small children's playground and bathrooms. Has a somewhat old fashioned feel, but in a good way. Feels like you could picnic, play badminton, read a book, or just sunbathe in peace. My favorite dog park in the area so far is located here. The off-lease area is grassy and there are trees that can provide substantial shade. There is a fence, though there are no gates, just decorative arches, between the park and the street. Lots a space for dogs to run, sniff, and enjoy. Not sure if there are cleanup stations, I have brought my own bags so far. Also, good place if you play Ingress. read more

Beautiful and green park. There is public restroom. They also have a swimming pool. But it closed. It is a quite peaceful and quiet for Being right next to a Main Street. I see few people with dogs. From walking to playing. It is a big park full of green grass. read more

Eagle Park - Open space with a lot of shade - Parks Near Me - Mountain View, California

This is my 4 year old's favorite park, he always requests for us to take him here on the weekends. It's so quiet and peaceful with lots of tree shade and the perfect set of steps to go up the big tunnel slide. It's fun watching dogs run around while the kids are on the swings. read more

This was the larger sister park to the quaint Pioneer park a couple blocks away. While I feel like Pioneer is prettier, most likely due in part to being next to the Library, Eagle is bigger and designed to be more than simply a lunch time walking area. Co-workers and I would often eat at one of the picnic tables, or because of it's size, stroll around the grass. But it also has a massive field for people to play kickball, or catch, and Pioneer wasn't really designed to hold those types of activities. It's a clean, bright park that always ended up with a lot of things going on whenever we dropped by. And all in all it was a really nice space to visit. read more

Nice wide open field where you can usually see several teams of guys playing soccer. Picnic tables, and several benches posted outside of the enclosed swimming pool fence. Bathrooms are open during day hours and are usually very clean. Poop bags for your special Fifi/Fido or Fufu. Limited/minimal parking in the small parking lot. Curb side parking along the entire perimeter of the park. Not many trees so makes for a hot sunny shadeless park in the summer months, but if it gets too hot you can take a dip in the pool so take a bathing suit with you. read more

Awesome morning shade. Two decent play structures. Lots of sand and a water fountain to add water to the sand. 4 swings: 2 bucket, 2 regular. Picnic tables in the shade and sun and plenty of space to run. The park is a little off downtown but it's close enough to easily walk to. The swimming pool is near by and A cool water fountain is in the apartment complex next to the park as well. read more

Yeah, I really don't know how you can rate a park less than 3 stars. I mean, it's a park! Did you expect Disneyland? Unless kids are throwing dog turd at your face (true story, and I'm pretty sure I'm not that ugly?), there really is no room for error. I came here with my friend because we (maybe just her) got lost driving back to Palo Alto. We were walking her dog and its brother! (Shihtzu's.... so cute). Anyway, I guess the old mantra about dogs being chick magnets is modified when you yourself are walking dogs with another girl, because SO many moms came up to us with their babies to pet them. It really was a tender moment, and yes I am sensitive to these things. (Ladies, I also watch chick flicks. Only good ones like You've Got Mail and Definitely, Maybe) Apparently the old Mountain View high school was here before it moved 30-odd years ago, and the mascot (Eagles) is retained as the name. Stupid trivia I pretened to care about just because it on the statue in front of the Community Center/Pool. There's also a relatively small playground that PACKED TO OVERFLOWING with babies, toddlers, moms and shiny pink strollers/other plastic baby objects. Also a big open playing field, complete with awkward pre-teens "dating" there with a frisbee. Dogs + babies + happiness - (acne ridden tweens) = 4 stars! read more

What a nice little park! Huge sports feild, a compact little playground and a pool facility that makes the Rengstroff facility look like a dump in comparison. This neighborhood park truly has something for everyone in its borders. With a changing area that is not quite so public, I think we'll be signing up for swimming lessons at Eagle Park from here on in! Word of warning: parking is a challenge, especially on weekends! read more

Great park. Clean, easily located with parking spots. A lot of well-kept grass and play area. The play area is mostly in sand but the swings are over this padded area. Great for little ones! The grass area is great...and far away from the play area for adults to have quiet time...or fun to kick a ball around! read more

This is a nice little park located in Downtown Mountain View, The park has a public pool and kids playground and a wide field where every one can run around. I use this park every M-f taking my little ones while we wait for my wife to get out of her office. This park in the middle of everything is one of the best parks in the area. read more

Eagle Park - Parks Near Me - Mountain View, California

I've driven by this park before but never really spent any time here. It's actually a nice little park that's much bigger than it looks. Parking was super easy to find and it looks like a lot of people make use of it. They've got a pool there, a small children's playground, and a large field. I actually spent an afternoon here playing some flag football with friends. We just set up in a corner and no one hassled us. There was actually also a big group of people playing soccer not too far away so the park is large enough to handle multiple field games at the same time. There were lots of people just walking around, letting their kids play...just enjoyin the park! It's also super close to downtown MV so additional bonus if you want to grab some food or a snack. Overall I thikn it's a great place to just hang out and enjoy the sun. It was actually so nice outside that day after we finished playing I just sat on a bench for a while and enjoyed the weather! read more

I love this park for the soul purpose of finding a place for my GSD to play ball. The field this park has is HUGE and very rarely used at full capacity meaning there is plenty of room for me and other people. My boy doesn't like playing at dog parks with his tennis balls because other dogs will try to steal them, so I decided to give this park a try. I have to say I was a little sketchy at first since the park is fenced in,but there are large openings and dogs can get lose if they aren't well trained. However this park is great to take your dog off leash in if you can control them with voice. I know there is a sign saying they must be leashed, but I have seen other people take their dogs off leash and as long as you're considerate of others there shouldn't be a problem. Even on weekends the park isn't as crowded as other parks. Parking has never been an issue for me. It doesn't have a good amount of shade but the shade it does have is usually free to pick a spot! Again my review is basically for the large open field, I haven't used the playground or the swimming pool and I know this isn't a dog park per say. All I can say is the people are super awesome about my dog being off leash and as long as he's under control and people don't bother you you'll have a great time here. read more

i really enjoy jogging and walking through this park. the paved path takes you through the park where you can see the grassy fields or just watch the people hanging out on the benches. there is a water fountain, which is convenient for the hot days. there is a swimming pool in this park as well as playground structures for children to play on. there is also a dedicated parking lot, which you don't find at many parks, especially those that are close to a busy downtown. i think this is a great spot to gather friends and family for a picnic. read more

One of the kids I nanny loves Eagle Park, but I can't see the appeal except that it has a pool. A day pass for swimming is at most $3.50 (non-resident adult). Otherwise, this is just a large, standard park bordered by busy Shoreline. read more

This is a small park right outside the Eagle Park Pool gates. There is a large grassy area and a small playground. The playground is good for smaller children because it isn't too tall and there are not usually a lot of "big kids" that may intimidate little bodies. There is a swing set that is well-kept and smooth. I can't say that there is anything particularly exceptional about this park, but it is clean, safe, and peaceful. read more

Great little park for younger children. One playground and a set of swings with lots of green space. It's particularly good for those sensitive to the sun as the playground area is nicely shaded by trees. One note of caution: there is a water fountain in the playground and when some kids are playing with mud and water, it can get messy! Eagle Park is a great park. Since they put in new play equipment, it is even better. It is a neighborhood park, so if I had to drive to it, I probably wouldn't go there. It is a good place to walk to and meet other people in my neighborhood. My kids play there nearly everyday. You don't have to worry about squirrel attacks and it is easy to keep an eye on the kids because the park has a nice layout. read more
