Nestled in a little woody cove just across the street from downtown Los Altos is this beautiful park! The area is nice and secluded from cars which makes it great for the kiddos to run around without worrying about their safety from traffic from nearby streets. There's plenty of shade and the park has a huge gorgeous grass area that's surrounded by two playgrounds -- one for the big kids and another made specifically for toddlers. Definitively a must visit for any parent!

Sweet park for families! There are many things to do here for children. Right near the parking lot You'll find a nice sand pit, so be sure to bring some sand toys. Nearby are two play structures, one for those around toddler age, and another for years 5 and up. The barkdust is quite clean. Families will also enjoy walking the pathway in the park. Super stroller or wagon friendly. Grass areas are great for picnics or light sport activity. The park has lots of trees and is well-shaded for hot spring and summer days. In the Winter and Spring there is a stream nearby that follows into the small redwood park nearby. At the edge of the park there are picnic tables with BBQ grills, and a small BBQ area that be reserved for birthday parties or other events. Bathrooms are well-maintained.

I like the Los Altos downtown area and come here fairly often to the restaurants. I stopped by this park when I was in the area a couple of days ago and found it quite quaint. There is some shade, a playground, and a short walking path. Good place if you are a child but not much else if you are an adult and/or looking for a spot to run/walk. It was fairly crowded though it was early in the afternoon and they did not seem too friendly, guessing it was just luck of the draw and not a reflection of Los Altosans(?). Check out the beautiful statue while you are there.

We love the redwood trees and checking out the sculpture. There are baby and regular swings, a sand pit with an excavator and a nice play structure for 2-3 year olds near the restrooms. Further from the parking lot is a second play area with benches, regular swings and things to climb. There's more privacy for nursing the littles. Near downtown. Picnic tables with small bbq grills. Nice grassy areas. Lots of shade for relaxing. Redwood Grove adjacent for a nice nature walk. Small parking lot available.

5-12 playground . Love the scenery

I love how beautiful the scenery is at this park. It is completely hidden from the street, so you actually can't see it just driving by-- there is a discrete sign that leads into the parking lot. You're completely surrounded by trees once inside the park which is lovely. There are two play structure areas for 2-5 and 5-12. The toddler area is not enclosed but has some neat stuff like a huge see-saw and a small digger installed in the sandpit. there's a bathroom and water fountains but no changing tables inside. There's a fancy grill/picnic area between the park and the redwood grove that looks really nice for a small event. And that's the other nice thing about the park- you can take a walk right into the Redwood Grove! Kids love climbing around in the creek.

Love that this park has 2 fun playgrounds near the parking lot and adjacent to a redwood grove for a nice shaded walk. It's also walking distance to a bunch of shops/restaurants in Los Altos. Makes it a fun, family day .

Came here today for some morning fun and exercise - there are 2 play areas for kids; and plenty of slides + jungle gym, and swings. You'll definitely be able to spend a good 30 min to 1 hour here. The play area is clean and people are friendly too - started to get busy after 10:30 am. You'll also notice a statue in the corner of the playground, it says "cradle of liberty" to commemorate the fallen veterans.

Should Park is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait to return. The trees are breathtaking, and the playground equipment is so engaging-tunnels and slides and swings and bouncy dinosaurs and more slides. There are lots of tables for picnics or parties, and the entire area is just gorgeous. Absolutely love this spot.

I have not seen a cooler park in a long time! The restrooms are very clean and lit up, the playground smells fresh and is surrounded by benches and tables with a beautiful trail to walk.

This is a good park for daily workout and yoga. It has a playground and walking distance to downtown Los Altos (for the coffee afterwards).

That particular round trip is probably less than 2.5 miles round trip, mostly flat, and much of it you have a choice of walking on paved roads/trails so good for strollers. The farm is open until 4pm most days, but be aware this is not a petting zoo, you just get to see the sheep, goats, pigs, cows, rabbits, ducks etc. Still fun for kids, my son loved it when he was little. My favorite hike is to go past the farm and then take the Wildcat Loop trip, you get some great views from up there, that's about 4.5 miles round trip from parking lot with some elevation gain. Our new favorite trail is the Mora Trail which branches off before you get to the farm and goes up to beautiful open vistas. Parking - very hard to find parking on weekend mornings and early afternoons. And don't park illegally, they will ticket you. Trails past the farm tend to be much less used.

I'm a beginner hiker so it's challenging enough to give me a workout. Most of the trail is exposed with greenery around but could be hot in the Summer. There's an educational center with farm animals (goats, huge pigs, cows) and a volunteer supported garden, Deer Hollow Farm. It's open to public most of the week. There's also a historic cabin built in the 1850's preserved and look like a small museum that showcases what life may have been like back then. There's a permanent restroom at the parking lot. Along the trail, there's also a smaller porta potty type but permanent restroom. Plenty of parking.
