This park is very cute & fun! We arrived around 2 pm so there was street parking available. Around 3 pm quite a few other families started showing up with their kids. I saw a few birthday parties & BBQ's. I would definitely recommend this park for families nearby and such. My niece (4 years old) and nephew (2 years old) both had a really fun time playing on the swings and slides. The shade is great, and there are also picnic tables.

They renovated the playground area. It's much nicer than before. it has swings, slides, climbing…read morestructures (even a rope one!) and a spinning platform. The little kids enjoy the frog that sprays water. There is a public restroom next to the playground so you don't have to drag the little ones too far to use it. The rest of the park has some reservable picnic table areas with BBQs. You'll find 2 tennis courts way in the back, and also a horseshoe pit. Sometimes you'll see people playing volleyball at the sand volleyball court. There is a path that makes a loop around the park. People like to use it to walk or run laps. There is a pond that used to be filled with an unnatural blue color water. This would attract Candadian Geese to the park and they made a big mess pooping all over the park. There was a time when it got so bad that you could not safely stroll along the walkway without running into geese poop. Trying to avoid these land mines is not a fun way to enjoy the park. They've since turned off the water features and the geese no longer plague the park. The park is definitely much cleaner now. There is a small parking lot by the playground and also street parking along the street that leads up to the parking lot. The parking lot dead ends, but they have designed a roundish area at the end -- this area is not designated for parking in -- at the end to help you make a u-turn to drive back out. Unfortunately the concrete trail does not go all the way around the park as there's an elementary-middle school on one side of the grassy field. But that just means an extra trek around Don Callejon if running laps here. The tree-lined pathways on the border are lovely, however there is no shade found elsewhere in the wide open space that makes up the majority of this park. Still, the place is great for picnicking, playing sports, or for kids to just run around. There are also a few benches along the trail, a playground at the corner of the park, and a restroom near the play area. Nothing really exciting or unique about this place, but it's clean and spacious and a decent option for spending time outdoors. I appreciate that they even post banners sharing local attractions and events happening around the city of Santa Clara. In fact, that led me to my next stop later in the evening, to check out the "Nebula Rider" (separate review on that).

Parking was not clear as the signs say no parking close the the playground. The first thing I noticed was the large grass area. Enough space to run around freely. The playground is updated and provides two large slides, three swings, and areas to climb. My kids had a great time playing on the playground. The park is well maintained. I enjoyed how spacious the overall space is. It's definitely a popular place to walk dogs.
