Taking a little break in the shade
    Jennica M.

With the nice weather and being a stay at home mama we decided to check out some new parks. Today we went to magical bridge park in Sunnyvale. I love all the magical bridge parks that we have been to, this one is amazing as well. The best part about this one is they have a water area that actually has water in it! Its a series of rocks and dams and shooting water. My boys absolutely LOVED the water and we left soaking wet which was just fine with me and them. We went to this park midweek midday and there was plenty of parking and the park was not crowded. Like all the magical bridge parks this one was well laid out and very clean. They have a spin area, a swing area, water area, slide area and a little kids area. They also have a stage and a play house. There is plenty of shade and places to sit ( which i don't ever get to do with two very active 4 year olds ) but if you can sit and watch your kids you can sit in the shade. The park is adjacent to fair oaks park which has beautiful soccer/baseball field that no one was on. We left around the time Kings academy was getting out for the day ( the park parking lot is across from the school) even with the school getting out the traffic was not bad at all. Highly recommend this park and it got the vote of approval from the twins ... as we were leaving they asked to add this park to their list of favorites. We will definitely visit again!

Initially we didn't know if we had entered * the correct park since we used Siri and Apple Maps to get us here. The biggest thing that threw us off was that once we parked we noticed two big soccer fields that were being actively used since there were men leagues playing . Secondly a pleasant surprise was multiple vendors selling their yummy smelling food, bubbles, snacks and even fruit options . We made our way into the park and noticed that a pole on themed birthday party was taking place as well . Off to the side of the "littles" section was a shaded multiple park benched tables . I enjoyed the inclusive environment as well as the vendors who were all very kind . I unfortunately didn't get a chance to take a picture of the drink but one of the vendors towards the front entrance had a "green drink" it was so light and refreshing that although healthy in nature my son ended up drinking most of it . I'm definitely coming back for the vendors :) .

Playground is right next to (almost looks like it's part of) a private school, King's Academy. In fact, when we went to the park this weekend, we parked in what looked like a part of the school parking lot. The playground is quite nice. It is super colorful, and the floor is the bouncy rubber kind, which is great. There's a smaller tot area that has basket swings, appropriately sized little slides, etc. The features are well spaced apart, so less chance of little ones running into each other. The rest of the playground is quite large. There are slides galore, and kids riding down the slopes on cardboard shrieking with delight. There are also nice picnic tables. When we went on Saturday afternoon there were quite a few open and there was a birthday party going on.

*Disneyland if playgrounds* Gated playground. This playground was specially designed to help children with their motor skills, provide sensory stimulation, and inspire creativity. It's fancy, colorful, and fun to hang out. Stop by Costco and grab a cardboard so the kids can grass surf. My kids always have a good time when they come here.

I've been anticipating the completion of this park and waited to bring my young kiddo here on a day that wasn't crowded. Weekday early am stopped by. It was a hot day before but it rained and the playground was wet. I dried off some of the things my kiddo wanted to play on and we had a blast. The water area here is much smaller than the Redwood City one but it's perfect for toddlers. Definitely have to supervise the kids here because while it's not tall it's still a few feet of the floor. Since we came early there was no issue enjoying any part of the park. I can imagine how chaotic the park and parking is when it's full. Not a fan of crowded parks. Will update if I'm ever there when it's crowded. While this one is not as tall and big as Redwood City or San Jose they did an excellent job with the space. It's not crowded and there's plenty of space for a wheelchair to move around freely. There's plenty of swing and I enjoyed seeing the solo swing where a parent can join their child for a swing. I enjoying seeing how every part of the park is able to be accessed by children and people of all needs. These parks are very special for this reason. I hope to see more children access the park and make good use of all the adaptive equipment. I noticed that the equipment had directions on how to use and age range and what fine/gross motor skills are needed to be safe on it. The whole park went under a renovation and looks great. The bathrooms are close by and clean with changing tables. There's a lot of space to sit down. No dogs allowed inside the park or on the field area. Same tiny parking lot. Beautiful park and a great addition to this community.

Magical Bridge is an all-abilities playground that features safe slides, soft turf, multiple types of swings, spinning things, sway boat, quiet dome spaces. While this one also has a big castle/house, tot lot, and a little water feature like the others, it lacks the awesome musical equipment that the Redwood City and Palo Alto ones have. It's completely enclosed. There is a big tree in the middle, with plenty of places to sit under the shade, but otherwise the playground is quite sunny. Bathrooms: multiple bathrooms around the park, including one right outside the enclosed area that has unisex stalls and changing stations Water fountains throughout the park as well, with the water bottle refilling options. Magical Bridge is located in Fair Oaks park. Other park features: huge, what appears recently re-turfed ginormous field for baseball, cricket, soccer etc (no dogs allowed on the field) Basketball courts available. There are tennis courts but those belong to King's Academy There is a paved path all around the field that is 0.45 miles. Good for walking/biking/scootering Dogs : you could walk you dog around the field of Fair Oaks Park along the paved path but they aren't allowed inside the fenced/playrgound area Parking was absolutely nuts on the weekend. There were multiple cars circling the lot off of Wolfe to find a space by late morning. There is another parking lot next to King's Academy (off N Britton) that is less chaotic) We come early weekday mornings and it's pretty quiet Hours- closed MF 6-10AM for cleaning

Very friendly for all kids. Suitable for various ages. Has regular swings as well as carriage like swings as if were car seat. Has four slides, swings & climbing frames around an artificial hill, plus a treehouse & bridge. Has a mini water fountain as well as a castle like house. Has basketball court, football field, and three playground areas. Was gated too. Has more than one parking lot. Would come back again!

We came to Fair Oaks Park and chanced upon this park within a park. I would be here all the time if I was a kid! This is not your regular run of the mill playground. It is huge and has some great equipment. Looks very new and well maintained as well.

Oh boy - where to begin?! I truly wish they had Magical Bridge Playgrounds in the Central Valley. I'm also kicking myself for the fact that I didn't go to more of them in the Bay when I lived here. But then again I remember I had my daughter right before the pandemic hit, and then I don't feel as bad. My eldest sister lives in the Bay so when I heard they updated Fair Oaks Park into a Magical Bridge Playground remodel, I had to bring my 3 year old daughter to check it out and also catch up with my sister and nieces. I really appreciate the concept of these playgrounds as they are meant to be all inclusive to those with disabilities, special needs and additional needs. My daughter is on the spectrum so finding a playground that caters to her sensory needs is a blessing. I appreciate that the entire area is enclosed so anyone with kids that are prone to eloping or wandering off, can't get very far. We arrived mid-moring and it was already quite busy. They have a food stand just outside of the park in the parking lot and a couple paletero carts inside the park. On the Saturday morning we showed up, there was a father daughter duo set up with their table selling girl scout cookies too! Super genius if I do say so. Overall this playground was really as good as it gets. The children there were all very kind to each other and the parents were all very present with their children and I didn't see any kids unattended or even crying. My daughter had a great time even though she didn't functionally play with anything there, she enjoyed the park in her own very sweet way. We'll definitely come back here again when we're back in the area.

Amazing playground! Any kid will love it, and as I mom, I was highly impressed. :)

Extremely fun playground for kids of all ages! Splashpad, castle, fun slides! It has everything. A lot of seating for parents who want to sit and a lot of places to go with your kid for parents like me who like to stay with my child on the playground. A lot of fun accessories for make believe and tons of space to run free and have fun! I highly recommend this park. It's also disability accessible for all kids.

An amazing park where children are kept safe behind gates so the kids can roam around freely in their own area.

Amazing hidden gem. SV maintains the park very clean. Playground, sandy volleyball court, water…read morespray area, tennis court, horseshoe court. Highly recommend.

They renovated the playground area. It's much nicer than before. it has swings, slides, climbing…read morestructures (even a rope one!) and a spinning platform. The little kids enjoy the frog that sprays water. There is a public restroom next to the playground so you don't have to drag the little ones too far to use it. The rest of the park has some reservable picnic table areas with BBQs. You'll find 2 tennis courts way in the back, and also a horseshoe pit. Sometimes you'll see people playing volleyball at the sand volleyball court. There is a path that makes a loop around the park. People like to use it to walk or run laps. There is a pond that used to be filled with an unnatural blue color water. This would attract Candadian Geese to the park and they made a big mess pooping all over the park. There was a time when it got so bad that you could not safely stroll along the walkway without running into geese poop. Trying to avoid these land mines is not a fun way to enjoy the park. They've since turned off the water features and the geese no longer plague the park. The park is definitely much cleaner now. There is a small parking lot by the playground and also street parking along the street that leads up to the parking lot. The parking lot dead ends, but they have designed a roundish area at the end -- this area is not designated for parking in -- at the end to help you make a u-turn to drive back out. Sometimes it is difficult to make this u-turn when people park in this area. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=a3c15emWpHiehs81jdgHHw&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7OFU_4ZnZNDS9b1LMP3QtQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rxdAa2RDw46kCSADO9H7hQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ .
