I called AAA for a jump start, and Jonathan's towing came out to my house. He tested the battery and said it was beyond saving, and offered to sell me one of his batteries. When I said my car was still under warranty and I would have Honda replace it, he told me batteries are not covered under new car warranties. In that case I said I would drive my car to Walmart and check the warranty while my car idled in the parking lot. If it was not covered, I would buy a new battery from Walmart. He then said Walmart would sell me a new battery, but not install it. When I said to jumpstart my car and I would work out the details later, he once again tried to sell me one of his batteries. He then hooked up some cables to the car, and "tried" to start it, but said the battery was so far gone it could not even be jump started. I then asked to be towed to the dealership, but he said AAA did not allow towing for just a dead battery so my only real option was purchasing his battery. I sent him on his way and called AAA again. 1. AAA said of course they would tow a car if need be. 2. They sent out a new company who easily jump started the car. 3. I drove it to the dealership who confirmed that if the battery was ruined, they would replace it at no charge. 4.They did a complete test on the battery and it passed with flying colors. It has been driving great since then. 5. And of course, yes, Walmart would have installed the battery if I had needed it.

Dispatch stated "there was traffic" and it really turned out to be that they added another vehicle pick up to my AAA service call. The tow driver stated that the office staff was not truthful and should have communicated this to me. When the truck finally did show up, my vehicle was not on a flatbed and the experience got worse. My vehicle was towed for 70+ miles on a wheel-lift. It was picked up first and placed on a flatbed, then transferred to a wheel-lift upon pick-up of a second vehicle. Just awful. In speaking with AAA, they were livid and advised me to inspect the vehicle for damage as a flatbed was requested on the tow order. If you enjoy being treated like a second class citizen, this is the company for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look literally anywhere else.

Basically, my car overheated and broke down on the 8 East Freeway in Lakeside and I needed to tow my car back to Mira Mesa (North San Diego). One of my friends came to help and try to fix the problem, but my radiator was compromised and I needed a tow. I called a few towing companies. RJ Auto Tech Towing was the fastest to respond and the quickest to help me. I called and spoke directly with Juven (the owner) and he gave me a very fair price over-the-phone and was able to get to me within the hour (which is VERY FAST for a towing company). Unexpectedly, my friend's car had died with his hazards on for so long, and kindly enough, Juven had booster cables available to quickly jumpstart his car. Afterwards I told him exactly what happened, and since he is an Auto Technician with his own shop, he was able to diagnose my problem on the ride back to San Diego.
