Went back to California collision center to take back the battery my mom purchased from them on 3/17/22 the battery was dead my mom had to buy another battery from some place else dealt with the manager Eddie who had a crappy attitude I told him I didn't want to talk to him so another employee started explaining the situation to me when Eddie interrupted and I told him I didn't want to talk to him and he just got angry and I told him to shut up I don't want to talk to him so he proceeded to call me a redneck so ugly words were exchanged and the other employee Nathan explained the situation. Came in to get a quote for my bumper and definitely got the feeling that they were playing with quotes to jack up the price of a replacement bumper way higher than it needs to be so that it seemed like the better deal to get it fixed directly with Rami. The red flags started going off when he requested I pay in cash. That's pretty shady because you're either trying get rid of the paper trail, dissolve yourself of any responsibility if you do shoddy work, or pocket money that should be going to the business. About a year and a half ago, my car was one among several who got vandalized and was heavily keyed on the hood of my Honda Civic. After getting a few quotes, I came here where Rami displayed excellent customer service in his mannerism, professionalism, and best of all, an agreeable quote at 400 bucks. I came today with damages on my brake lights and back bumper. I'm assuming it may be his dad that met me. I wanted to get a quote on how much it would be for labor and new paint for a bumper I found on carparts.com. He kept telling me it's too cheap and that I should buy a new bumper from him at market value. 2010 Toyota Camrys are old and common so it makes sense to be able to find a good deal on a part. I still don't know why I should choose to pay more for the literally the same part. The bumper I found was only 40 bucks. Ultimately he quoted me at 1600 dollars to supply and repair everything, or 700 dollars if I can get the part. I went to 4 other places afterwards and this is still the only place that quoted anything higher than 900. I ended up finding a mechanic that will do it for 300 if I get the parts. My biggest takeaway was this. I was a returning customer and I have recommended my wife to get her car fixed here before. It looks like Rami does not work here anymore and they were trying to significantly overprice me. If you have a common car here like a Toyota or Honda, go somewhere else. read more

December 10, I drove up on a curb and damaged my front left wheel. On the tow truck driver's suggestion, I released the car to California Collision Center. What a mistake! They had my car for a month and every time I called them, I got a different excuse of some "new finding". At one time, I called and spoke with "Ted". He seemed frustrated at my asking how things were going. I said, "You have had the car nearly a month now". His response was, "Yeah, And?..." Nothing. I thanked him and hung up. He did call a couple of days later with an update that my car would be ready on Monday. Called Monday and there were more "new findings". Now the alignment needs to be checked and the brake line bled. I wonder if any of these discoveries have made it to the insurance claims people. Wednesday, called again and Ted said he was still awaiting the necessary parts to come in from Nissan. Ted said he would call Nissan and call me right back. Hour later, Ted called me and said he had "bad news". Part didn't come in and he assured me, he would get on it and car would be ready "tomorrow". This is ridiculous now! Nothing the next day, or the next... Went to following week, a month now, January 10, called and spoke to Ted several times. Stated he was still waiting on the part. Monday, 1/10, 3 pm, called Ted again. Said the part just came in and will TRY to install it today and get "right back" to me. It's now 5 pm, no call. I'm sure they're closed by now and they just blew me off again. One month, one day... so far... 5:30, phone finally rings. Ted tells me that "It's not going to happen today" and that he doesn't want to rush his mechanic further. Tomorrow in the "am" he says. Tomorrow...seems I've heard that before... The previous Friday, called and spoke with Mark who said no part in yet for the brake line and he would call me Monday. I explained that I am disabled and need car to go to medical appointments and pharmacy. He sighed and said, "I am trying to get this car done. I want it as badly as you do." Picked up car, one month and one day later and drove off happy. I had lights coming on in the dashboard. Bringing it back and to Ted's attention, he suggested that I "should get it looked at at Discount Tire". I told him the lights weren't on before having the car worked on by them and "they should finish the job". His only answer was, "I don't have the right equipment to detect the problem. Have a nice day." Bottom line, my first instinct was to send the car to Caliber Collision, and I should have followed my instinct. They are always timely and, at least, courteous if/when you call to inquire about any developments with your car. When I went to retrieve some personal items from my car at California Collision Center, I could see that there were LOTS of cars there waiting to be serviced and I wondered how/when they could possibly get to my car. It's a month later now and I am still getting new developments about my car. Please save yourselves some stress and don't bother with this outfit. If you have a few weeks to spare your car and not be able conduct any business and want to be greeted with smart-ass replies when you call wondering about your car and get totally blown off when they say they are going to communicate with you, then this is the place for you. I highly recommend this body shop. The manager, Rami, is a complete professional and also a really good guy. He does expert work and the pricing is very reasonable compared to other Body Shops. I've gone to him twice for repairs on my Nissan Altima. The first time I needed a side-view mirror replaced and some paintwork done after an accident. He replaced the mirror and did a superb job on the paint. The turnaround time and quality of work was impressive. Most recently I had my front bumper replaced on my Nissan Altima before it was sold. i had been trying to sell my car for months but the crack on the front bumper was lowering the value. I had to sue Rami in court for $8500 due to the work he did on my car! I filed a complaint with the state, they investigated him and found him negligent on several counts, they advised me to sue and guaranteed me after their report I would win! This man claims the work was done at his fathers shop which he is listed as CEO of lol. He took my car from National City to El Cajon to do the work. Asked me to pay him in all cash, over $11000, I did and he jacked my car up! I won my case in court and he's yet to pay me but drives his fancy sports cars! I'm not the only customer that's sued him either! There a case in San Diego Superior Court that involves him doing the exact same thing! He's a crook! He owes me money and I will put a lien on everything he owns until I get it! I'm NEVER going away Mr Maroki!!! I am very disappointed with the hack job done on my car! The only thing I can say is the paint job looks great! Rami took my money, over $9000.00, and I have major parts on my car that aren't the right parts, weren't replaced that should have been. I thought he was going to do a great job but in the end he basically threw my car back together with plates, shims and nuts. I couldn't get rid of my car now if I wanted to.
