I was just looking online to see how late Lakeside is open when I saw how negative the reviews are. I feel like the only people who ever go on Yelp to review a dry cleaning place are the people who are really, really angry. So, to balance out the haters who have posted on the site after trying to dry clean a tea towel or curtains with a coupon, let me say that we have taken our things here for years. The service is friendly, they know who we are when we drive up in our car, we have not had problems, and are delighted with our neighborhood cleaner. I would give these guys a negative star if I could. Dropped a suit off that I planned on wearing to an interview. They lost the buckle. Okay. Accidents happen. Owner was there and said they would look for it and get back with me. I explained this was for an upcoming interview so it was important that it was fixed. After 2 weeks they FINALLY get it back from alterations and I'm shocked: they have put the cheapest, non matching buckle on my gorgeous suit. I told them it was unacceptable and another 2.5 weeks later I still don't have my suit jacket. I'll spare you the play by play but let's just say I hear a lot of talk about fixing my jacket but it has yet to be sent back to alterations. And apparently the owner is too "busy" to call me. Seriously?! Horrible customer service! If you need me I'll be passing out flyers in front of their store with 50% coupons to other cleaners and warning potential customers of the level of service they should expect. read more

I went here because I received a coupon in the mail. I took a linen tea towel to be pressed because I couldn't get the wrinkles out and wanted to use it for an art project. The price was outrageous!! More than I have ever spent for any piece of clothing but I was there and just figured I'd write it off to experience. Tried to call the next day to see if it was ready for pick up. The phone numbers on the receipt and the coupon were both out of service. To boot, the girl behind the counter was rude and condescending. Seriously? Those prices for that level of care? Uh no thanks. Not with all the other places nearby. I going to shop around. Lesson learned. read more

I will no longer use this dry cleaner. The store is supposed to open at 7 am each day. For each of the last three weeks, I have arrived at just after 7 am and no one was there. The employee eventually arrives and is completely unapologetic for opening the store late. I am sure the owner has no idea. Today, I waited 10 minutes and no one ever showed up. The service and quality aren't good enough to keep me as a customer. I have a new dry cleaners now. :-) read more

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a dry cleaning purposes! I dropped off around 25 items to get dry dry cleaned and returned several days later to pick up them up. I gave them my 30% coupon which I had received via the mail and she said she could not honor it. She said they can only honor coupons if you present it when you drop off your dry cleaning. Not only is this a rediculous concept it doesn't even state this fact on the coupon!! Needless to say I ask for the manager and cashier said management wasn't in and she wouldn't call them. I ended up paying full price for the dry cleaning. There are many other dry cleaners on Mockingbird that DO honor coupons at the time of pickup/payment and I will be using these dry cleaners from now on. I recommend you do the same. read more

I've used this cleaners for the 17 years I've lived in Lakewood and have never had any problems with them. Sometimes an item wasn't ready when they said it would be but maybe once or twice. I was once on a trip for almost 3 months and forgot I'd left some cleaning there, but they reminded me and still had the item when I returned. I'm posting this because I have read a lot of negative reviews about Lakeside and I know people who are dissatisfied tend to write reviews, while people who are satisfied do not, so I just wanted to provide some balance. read more

Pros: - Convenient location and easy parking - Good at remembering your name - Seemingly organized Cons: - Can not get stains out to save their lives - Any button down blouse I have ever taken there, the color on the buttons has faded - I have had 2 dresses ruined there (one was white & navy). They said the there was no way to dry clean and keep the colors from bleeding into one another. Why didn't they warn me? Why would the designer make it that way in the first place? - They let another garment bleed onto my white blouse--ruined and I only wore once - Got a couple of items hemmed there--terrible quality. Do not get anything hemmed there. I am done with this place. read more
